- Massoppu saaru is an age old recipe passed on from generations. Back in old days, it was among the most frequently cooked curries and was a secret behind the well being and good health of our ancestors.
INGREDIENTS:
Greens (1/2 bunch each):
Palak, Amaranth (Dantu)
Chikki
Keere
Garlic - 1 big or 2 medium sized
Green Chillies - 6-8 (as per your taste)
Toor dal - 3 tbsp
Onion - 1 big
Tomato - 2 medium sized
Turnmeric - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1tsp
grated coconut Coconut - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1tsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Curry leavs - 6-7 leaves
Hing/Asaefotida - 1 pinch
Salt to taste
The Recipe is very versatile, you can change or adjust the greens according to availability and taste.
