    I use 57-60mm wheel size and durometer of 88-92a for all of my wheels they are flat to round profile depending on the brand and shape always was a game changer for me

    The best wheels I've used recently have been the symmetrics superfast 65s. Pleasantly surprised with how well they're holding up and they're wearing down evenly and it's been over 6 months now!
    I'm really curious to try the bigger wheels they offer as they're still the same urethane at 90a from what I can see. Highly recommended giving them a shot next time you're in the market. I dare say the 65s are a bit better than my UCs in how they're wearing down.
    Btw I enjoyed the almost vloggy style with the bit to camera as you were skating. Also that's a great setup for X grinds on rails 👀

    Those UC 80's are incredible. Definitely agree with how durable they are, mine are still good after an easy year of fairly heavy use. Though I do skate 5x80 so maybe that adds to their life. Also the softness is spot on for me! Soft enough for a comfy ride but not too soft that they feel slow. Great wheel, just hope they do a colour line for the team wheels.

    • @chrischadwick1

      Yeah a colour series would be awesome. If you like em too man then they must be good! I'm so stoked to try 5x80. I've just ordered some nn skates 4x90 so the 5x80 will be next I think!

    Nice skating man.. I hear those wheels are good alright! Have you tried RB Hydrogens also? I got them on my 4x100 wizards, and for my 4x90 setup I bought Revolver wheels from Loco, haven't tried those yet but they're supposed to be good too.

    So far the brands I have been using since I got back into blading this year in January have been hit or miss. When I bought myself a used pair of Rollerblade TRS Access that had some 50/50 Balance frames with 58/90 flat profile Undercover wheels (white) they ended up to be a softer urethane and wore pretty fast at my weight of 209lbs and now I have lost weight to 170 and ride the same wheel and they wear down slower then before. So with that being said I have used Undercover, 50/50, Gawds, Apex, Win, Chroma, Dead, Haunted, Red Eye (colored wheels have lasted longer then white) and most of the brands out there have been better for me with different hardness and wheel profile has been a factor as well I like to use flat to round profile to get the best overall stability and speed out of my wheel size and softness to grip.

    • @chrischadwick1
      @chrischadwick1  3 роки тому

      Whoa sounds like you've ridden all the major brands. Awesome skatings helped you get into good shape too. Any favourite wheel brand do far?

    Stock wheels on my Aeons (60/90 listed as 61/90 but feel more like a 60/88-85a) wore down so fast at a non smooth concrete park compared to a smooth concrete park that isn't as rough wore down slower than that rugged terrain. so all depends on my surface area that I skate on

    Love this video man! The combination of tricks interlaced with review / commentary is really cool. I love Linos review videos, but I think his thing of doing a load of tricks at the start and then just talking to camera for the rest of it makes the info harder to suggest, much prefer this format. No shade to Lino obvs, he’s the man

  • @MrTea117
    @MrTea117 2 роки тому

    Thanks for posting this review as well as the Revolver one. Did you notice much difference in the feel of the wheel profile between the UC, Revolver and Go Project wheels? Did the Go Project wheels, with their smaller core, feel slower?

    • @chrischadwick1
      @chrischadwick1  2 роки тому

      So Undercover have the longest life span
      Revolver wear down faster but also roll faster due to the larger core (also cheapest)
      Go Project are great quality and life span, fast roll but harder to come buy and in my opinion too hard which makes them slippy.
      Personally my favourite 80mm wheel is the undercover👍

    • @MrTea117
      @MrTea117 2 роки тому +1

      @@chrischadwick1 Okay, I may go with the Revolvers then because right now I am skating AR with a 58mm flat profile (I have never skated flat) and I want to work on riding transitions and bowls so the speed of the Revolvers and their round profile should hopefully help. I would like move up to a 60mm and try it on my AR setup and if I feel like it is too unstable on landings or not carving well enough, I can buy another set of wheels (possibly bullets) in order to run those in the middle of a flat setup. I am relatively new to aggressive skating so maybe a 60mm round profile on AR is a bad idea, I don't know. What are your thoughts?

    • @chrischadwick1
      @chrischadwick1  2 роки тому +1

      @@MrTea117 yeah 60mm is a safe bet for antirocker. I've never placed too much importance on wheel profiles as I personally don't find it makes much difference. Many people would disagree with that though. It's worth considering your weight and foot size when you choose wheels too and also frame length. I ride larger wheels on Longer frames as I'm heavy and have big feet so I find this gives me the control and stability I need. I havnt ridden anti for a number of years but probably go with 65mm wheels on the outside in a softer harness say 88a but if your smaller and lighter 60mm or smaller would be fine and you can't really go too far wrong as most gear on the marker these days is awesome. Try as many variations ad you can and figure out what your preferences are. I hope that helps and isn't too confusing!

    • @MrTea117
      @MrTea117 2 роки тому

      @@chrischadwick1 Thanks, it does help a lot! I have fairly large feet to (size 46) so my skates have the longest version of the frames and I haven't seemed to have any issues with stability thankfully. Cheers!
