One of my favorite subjects is architecture, so this is going to be great! And Spanish-speaking architects are some of the most innovative and stylish right now. My favorite is Calatrava.

loool twin towers is what we used to call the world trade center buildings in New York before September 11th happened when they were hit with airplanes. Also, there is a video by dreaming spanish on how airplanes fly that everyone should totally check out! haha hope its not too soon!

The hotel & casino Aria that he designed in Las Vegas is located very close to the hotel Vdara, which I just learned about today! It's one of the buildings designed by Rafael Viñoly, and like the Aria, also has a glass exterior. Unfortunately, there were some severe problems with the glass exterior of the Vdara reflecting the bright sunlight onto the surrounding area below and melting plastic items, heating up furniture until it was too hot to touch, and burning people's skin, scalp and hair. Since then they've applied a film to the glass that lessens the intensity of the UV rays by about 70%, but it hasn't solved the problem completely. Viñoly designed another building in England (I believe) that had the same problem :/ He's designed a lot of buildings, several of which are famously very poorly made and full of structural problems. Es interesante ver como algunos arquitectos pueden tener carreras muy largas y exitosas, pero ser reconocidos por razones muy diferentes, y dejar un legado o muy positivo o muy, muy negativo. Gracias Agustina, siempre disfruto mucho de tus videos!

Vean como Google induce. Yo empecé a escribir en Google "Who was the argentine... " y el Google completó "dictator", entonces yo borré el "dictator" y escrebi "architect". Yo ya habia oido el nombre de lo, me parece el más rciente dictator General Jorge Videla. Pero yo buscaba el architecto César Pelin.
Super interesting video. We just returned from Sevilla and the cabbie told us that locals refer to Pelli's tower "the ventilator" because it looks like a certain type of standing room ventilator.
