Thank you. Part 2 showing the test is coming next Monday, I had a real job editing it because it just kept crashing for some reason. I got there in the end.

Hi. On average, (although I know there's a lot of factors that will affect the number), how many miles does an instructor's car do per year? Just wondering what to state for a quote for a lease on a car once I pass my Part 3. Thank you.
For 20 years I've done an average of 15 miles per hour of teaching which includes a good mix of in and out of town driving. Times the number of hours you plan to work in a year by 15 and that's your mileage, roughly.
there's nothing in the legislation to say you're limited to 1 pdi per badge (many people often think the limit is 2) You can have as many as you can adequately supervise.
There certainly used to be a rule of one pdi per adi so maybe its changed. Its hard to keep up with everything but I still wouldn't take on pdi's because I think it makes part 3 harder. As I always say, I make these videos to learn myself!
And I read the email again and it turns out there is a limit but it's no longer 1:1. They say they will only approve a trainee if they consider the sponsoring ADI able to provide enough support for them. So there is a limit but it's not set as 1:1 anymore. They say as many as practical.
We filmed this in January 2020 so you can guess what happened soon after! We never continued because no training was allowed for about a year after we filmed this.
I’ve passed my part 1 and 2 adi training however I didn’t want to sign up to the the expensive franchise as a pdi Is there anything I can do with the qualification or will have to start over with another driving school Great informative video Thanks
I live in north London and have been a qualified driving instructor (ADI) for almost 24 years. You will never be given 25 to 30 hours a week by your school. If the school has hours to distribute among itsinstructors, it will rather engage a new instructor than to feed ONE instructor with a decent number of hours. TWO INSTRUCTORS WILL FEED THE SCHOOL WITH DOUBLE THE INSTRUCTOR FEES rather than ONE instructor. And you will never be able to generate pupils yourself or... EXTREMELY rare. I intend to publish a series of videos entlited 'THE TRUTH ABOUT DRIVING INSTRUCTORS EARNINGS'. Keep an eye open for those. In the meantime, expect to be maintained by your school at no more than 10 to 14 pupils with hardly any replacement pupils for those who pass the test. That means no more than 20 hours maybe 25 hrs a week. Keep an eye open for 'THE TRUTH ABOUT DRIVING INSTRUCTORS EARNINGS'.
Nice vid pal.. keep it up 👌

Interesting, my current instructor has also been driving for 30 years but has only recently become an instructor!

I checked with the DVSA and the ratio of 1:1 was removed in 2005! I don't know how I missed that but thanks for letting me know.

What’s the update on this guy has he passed

I'd say the price per hour is area specific
Yes it is. In London it can easily be £30+ per hour and in some areas £20 an hour is expensive.
1stdrive Edinburgh is also around £30 p/hour
@@turningaround7842 £30 every 10 minutes to live in a 1 bedroom flat in London
In Southampton the average is £30-35

Is there enough learners to make a decent living, I live in London?
I don’t mind working 25-30 hours a week.😎
