- Here's how I build and tune arrows for a recurve hunting bow! I hope it helps you become a more ethical and proficient bowhunter!

Thank you very much for this clear explaining of the tuning process. Love your calm talking, right to the point.
Are still using that Samick Discovery riser?
I am considering one and wanted to see how you liked it now? I never had an ILF rig before. I kinda wanted a 19” riser. But for looks and price. That riser looks tough to beat.
I actually sold it! I fell down a rabbit hole and landed in Hill Style bows. This was a great ilf tho. It shot great for me until I finally switched over to a new style.
As I’ve grown into trad bows I just can’t stay away from the long simple hill bows.

I know all to well about the rabbit holes!!!!
If you ever get a chance to grab a JD Berry Vixen or Morningstar do not hesitate and grab it.
You will fall in love
By the way, they make a cutting wheel for that tool. I bought a pack off of Amazon for mine, they work just like a normal blade on an arrow saw.
I really need to up my trad game. One of these days. Of course I need anoher obsession like a hole in my head. Great video. Keep up the good work. Trying to add more of my own content as well.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Where did you get that compressed haybale??
Tractor supply co
@@Leehealy-wheninthewoods thanks
Great video for bare shaft tuning!! Once I've bare shaft tuned and then fletched up the arrow, I tune brace height for finer tuning i.e. increase brace height for more flexibility in dynamic spine, or reduce brace height for a stiffer dynamic spine.
Very nice, yup there is still a lot of adjustment that can be done with the bow. Moving in or out a strike plate can help as well.
@@Leehealy-wheninthewoods I avoided bare shaft tuning for a while, thinking it was too technical lol but it's very simple as long as the form is consistent. The first time I gave bare shaft tuning a go it took me a couple of hours 🤣🤣🤣 cutting 1/4" at a time lol now I cut them exactly the way you did in the video. I've got a mate on the other side of Australia that'll need this video for his first time bare shaft tuning, so I've sent it to him. 👍👍👍 great video!! ☆☆☆☆☆
@@brettellis423 man that’s awesome, thank you!
@@Leehealy-wheninthewoods Thank You!!
How did you compress the haybale, did you just use ratchet straps?
Purchased it compressed at TSC
Hey, I use that same saw and hay bale 😂
Very nice
