  • When we think of metabolism, most of us just think of our resting metabolic rate. When in relatity, we are missing thermogenic effects of food and non exercise activity thermogenesis (both which can be highly variable based on lifestyle). Not all macros are created equal. We have seen that it is much easier to obtain a calorie deficit when you chose minimally processed foods, high protein, and high fiber!
    Next I can talk about NEAT to boost your metabolism so leave any questions in the comments and I can answer them in the next video.

    I had to watch this a couple times. So much great info. I’m trying to nourish my body so that I can be healthy for an upcoming surgery. I have a fibroid the size of a small cantaloupe on my uterus. 😣 Thank you for sharing your recipes!!

      Oh man, that must be so uncomfortable! When is your surgery?

    • @annagomez1386
      @annagomez1386 2 роки тому

      Well for now I have the uterine biopsy scheduled for June 6th. Then I will be given a surgery date. Not sure if I can make it too much longer as it surely is sooo uncomfortable.

    I never count calories- don't need to if you know how to eat. All my numbers/bloodwork and weight are ideal.

    Hello!
    Have you ever talked about dealing with certain cravings people get and why they get these cravings? For example, i love sugar and am always craving sweet desserts lol! Really trying to cut back on all the processed sugar but its hard cause of my sweet tooth 🫠

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  2 роки тому +2

      Schedule meals and snacks to prevent hunger is seen to help with binge eating. My craving usually is for chips. But I find that I don’t crave as much if 1. I’m full or 2. I’m not too stressed out 😅 I still fall victim to emotional eating sometimes

    is calories in versus calories out true for everybody even for somebody with PCOS.. I hear so many mixed things.. I have gotten my insulin resistance under control.. but I still have raised cortisol levels and raised testosterone levels.. and it is extremely hard for me to lose weight

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  2 роки тому +1

      Yes calories in calories out still applied. It may be harder for someone with PCOS to get into that calorie deficit but not impossible.
