Making an MMO/ARPG out of Diablo 4 was like making a sushi pizza. Lots of people love pizza and lots of people love sushi. So on paper, a sushi pizza sounds like a great idea. There are also a lot of people who like both sushi AND pizza. Great. The issue is that the combination of flavors doesn't work. Especially not if you just take a frozen pepperoni pizza and throw some sushi rice and some raw fish on it.
Nope. There's no way this game will ever be good, when each season make the game comparatively worse. It just needs far too many changes and far too many systems to be added to maintain a playerbase. My prediction is they marginally improve itemization, add bare minimum item crafting systems (Horadric Cube but somehow impossibly shittier) and then cash-grab a couple visionless expansions and overpowered broken new classes just to make people fork over another $60-100. Games in maintenance mode by '26. 🤷🏻♂️
Iget the criticism as to wehre it leads to in terms of gameplay but I kinda understand their vision from an artistic standpoint. The open world though seems like a problem though in terms of design space.
Blizzard isn't brutalizing D4. Blizzard no longer makes good games. They haven't for awhile. They've been on life support... getting carried by nostalgia.
"do more dmg when you are outside and you got your hand on your crotch and your'e looking to the left on a Tuesday as long as the full moon is out" 🤣🤣🤣
D4 needs to take skill system, crafting, itemization from Last epoch, then use past path of exile seasonal mechanics for a few seasons until they got a grasp on seasonal mechanics then made there own
Marvel Heroes was the only mmo-arpg so far that lasted any time, even had raids. Damn i miss the hell out of that game, it's too bad the diablo3erized the skill trees and killed the game in the end.
The game will probably have a rebirth soon, after all these years, some devs successfully made an emu of it. Not really in a playable state for now, but pservers will be a thing once the emu will be complete

I agree with everything except 2 things. I love to make builds and level up so in LE ill have thousands of hour to do this I cant wait. POE I have tried for years and have come to one conclusion its absolutely garbage. POE 2 I am thinking its going to be god mode.
You know if they put their foot out there and tried something kinda crazy and it failed I could respect that, like PoE with their failed league mechs. But they instead put some kind of weird altered version of something old that people didn't care about, they're just really clueless what would be good
It is hilarious how the D4 haters have the time and energy to rant about a game... and I bet this will continue and continue. Can't take this seriously man.
Dont let Blizzard's latest "update" distract you from the fact that they designed the entire world map of D4 around having a horse so they could sell skins for it and couldnt even get that right. They took the least enjoyable grind of D3, namely the Horadric Cache farming where you have to run around the map doing some random tasks and thought to themselves thats just the thing that Diablo players want more of, slow, annoying map travel. But if you call "open world exploration", its somehow not boring menial travel anymore. Then they took the cursed chest type events of D3 and spread them out on the "open world" to justify its existence. And the Greater Rifts that half the community was crying about, which you could at least do from the centre of town and be in and out in a few minutes, they took that and spread it out in the "open world" too, forcing you to travel across the map with the most inconvenient waypoints and layout imaginable to get to these dungeons. And what do you get for your troubles? You'd think it would at least be worth it if the dungeons were good, but no, they're worse than the rifts. I've never had to backtrack in a rift/GR, but these dungeons are backtrack central. Blizzard couldnt have designed a more tedious, busywork experience if they tried. They took all the speed and the fun out of Diablo 3, spread what was left over an empty and pointless "open world", plastered a grimmer coat of paint on it and called it a day. Absolute travesty. To this day I'm playing D3 over D4. Teleporting across the map with a firebird, incinerate wizard is the most fun I've had in a long time. Its fast and satisfying. I can be in a GR 100 in and out in 3 minutes. It takes 3 minutes to even get to a stupid dungeon in D4. Blizzard should just shut down or fire everybody who's hands touched D4. Their design choices are atrocious. If you did such a bad job of it in any other industry, you'd be fired and unhireable in that industry for the rest of your life. Blizzard has become a joke.
Idk I still like D4, maybe one day it will be good enough for more people to play it. I don't have a ton of time to play it but once I get my build going it's alot of fun, to me. 🤷

1:23; Thanks, Quinn, you crack me up laughing at, ". . .like challenge rifts, but worse. . ."
Blizzards trying to make small changes hoping to win back our hearts. The truth is, the things that would fix this game they have and know how to do. But they want to monetize them changes in DLC sales!😅😅😅
I went back to play with a friend. He does not have time to really get into things anymore so I go where he wants. I can't believe that STILL despite the Occultist saying "Get to level 25 OR get a codex power" it refuses to unlock despite having 10 codex powers.
If they can't fix even that, what hope is there they will ever turn this game around from being the most boring game on the market. It feels exactly the same from the first time you get all your legendary powers until you decide to stop playing. No matter what level that is.
Blizzturd should only allow your generator for the gauntlet
this is what DEI hiring gets you
How does that make sense? You could have the most competent individual devs in the world but it means nothing if they don't have creative control.
@@nobleape9281 Blizzard is in California which means DEI is a law. Translation you hire based on checked boxes not skill which gets you crappy games like D4. NM what you are doing if you are not hiring the most qualified for the job what you end up with is normally smoking pile of dog crap.
@@nebiros9689 That's not how game development works, the ground level developers have very little say in what the game is like. They basically get told what to make and then they make it. The design team and corporate are the ones who decide what the game is like.
Even if they took the hell tileset and turned it into a delve type thing where you need to push as far down as you can with X amount of respawns that would have been better. Blows my mind they havnt reused that sick hell tileset yet.
The irony of loading every other players entire stash tab.. but not being able to inspect them in D4...
Especially not if you just take a frozen pepperoni pizza and throw some sushi rice and some raw fish on it.
there will be a tough competition for first place between both D4 players
maybe in season 8 d4 is gonna be good
Last Epoch fireball build looks great! 🤣
I'm here for the Lemao's during the video.
fr though that mage build is a BLAST, would recommend!
Yeah I think my second build is going to be that fire mage. Was going to do a druid but my first was a summon necromancer.
Team A continues its monstrous stampede through Diablo Tokyo.
If D4 made in eastern EU and Devs are from there they already been found dead in woods :D :D
Iget the criticism as to wehre it leads to in terms of gameplay but I kinda understand their vision from an artistic standpoint. The open world though seems like a problem though in terms of design space.
Does D4 have a group/party finder yet?
Of course not LOL
I miss MAthil. I never followed him but I got a bunch of him...he pissed off the algorithm.
Maybe if they didn't fire everyone and have mobile app developers making the game.
Blizzard isn't brutalizing D4. Blizzard no longer makes good games. They haven't for awhile. They've been on life support... getting carried by nostalgia.
Blizz is just getting worse and worse one board meeting at a time... :(
"do more dmg when you are outside and you got your hand on your crotch and your'e looking to the left on a Tuesday as long as the full moon is out" 🤣🤣🤣
D E A D. let's go back to last epoch
D4 needs to take skill system, crafting, itemization from Last epoch, then use past path of exile seasonal mechanics for a few seasons until they got a grasp on seasonal mechanics then made there own
last epoch is good and rightful successor of D2. it has many D3 mechanics but did GOOD.
It even has a creature type called Jahist Bear lol
Marvel Heroes was the only mmo-arpg so far that lasted any time, even had raids. Damn i miss the hell out of that game, it's too bad the diablo3erized the skill trees and killed the game in the end.
The game will probably have a rebirth soon, after all these years, some devs successfully made an emu of it. Not really in a playable state for now, but pservers will be a thing once the emu will be complete
Fucking tomb lord 😂
quin bad , matt hill good
My popcorn is ready for Season 4 itemization rework.
they had tshirts that said "Dmg on tuesdays" r u kidding me
We know d4 bad but how about 4D DAB
edit: the chat's hilarious. Gauntlet = greater grifts
People act as if there's no causal relationship between people saying "D4 bad" and D4 being bad.
What’s funny is I thought mathil was testing the gauntlet and I was thinking it looked kinda good. Then I saw the t6 exalted drop and I realized he was playing a better game 😅
I bet the itemization is gonna be dogshit. 100%
But they instead put some kind of weird altered version of something old that people didn't care about, they're just really clueless what would be good
Modern AAA game companies trying to make their game series super accessible which is the death of every series.
