Of all the stories from Nuka-World, this one was the most tragic. All the performers, entertainers, and staff of the park slowly succumbing to a disease they could not see, could not understand, and could not stop. It was just so sad.
I did not have any issues with the fun house. My gut reaction would be to say that ghoulification can not be reversed but then I remembered Vergil who turned into a super mutant and was able to reverse it so I can not rule it out completely especially since the FEV literally rewrites its host's DNA. Come to think of it there are quite a few things about ghouls we do not know for certain such as are they truly immortal or do they just age much slower than normal humans? Another question I would like to know is do they inevitably turn feral? My guess to the second question is "no" given how many pre-war ghouls you encounter in Fallout 4 alone but I can't help but be curious.
From what I remember of Fallout lore ghouls can avoid or delay turning feral by having social interaction with fellow ghouls or non hostile humans or mutants. Can't remember what game it was mentioned but there's a place where ghouls are forced to take a long walk in the scorching sun, and they either died or turned feral, because of lack of social interaction. Can't remember 100% though.

I've always thought that the one room in the spinning room was a flashback to before the bombs dropped by the Sole Survivor. Don't know how that tracks for lore but it's still cool.
I’m such a fallout noob that I just now realized this far into the Nuka-cola playlist that “Nerd Rage” is probably a passive skill. I thought that that was just him implying he had a hard time during fights.
Oh boy, this place. Started a new character with the "start me up" mod, made an ambitious little raider gal to give raider settlements a try...was a cake walk the last time i took the parks when i did it with all of my characters who were 50+ But my new little level 5 raider is having some trouble in Kiddie Kingdom, poor gal can barely get to one of the objectives without getting eaten alive, or dying from radiation...really feeling like one of the raiders i usually mow down, so far crime doesn't pay xD
When I went through here on my Railroad character I used one of the Mysterious Serums from the Cabot House quest. Even though I sided with Jack you still get a few of the serums from raiders and in the asylum. I kept them for this area and going into the Glowing Sea. The radiation removal effect meant that even without power armor or rad-x the ambient radiation was cured as soon you take it. Only standing directly in a high rad area, like in front of one of those sprayers, do you accumulate any rads at all. And then as soon as you leave the spray your rads go down again. I enjoyed Kiddie Kingdom a lot, even with the annoying radiation all over the place Oswald and the park survivors were pretty clever setting up here... To bad the radiation turned them all to ghouls and then staying in that radiation is probably what turned most of them feral. It seems unlikely there is a cure for becoming a ghoul. And if something did happen it would likely be another change, not a reversion to human. Being a ghoul isn't a disease or an illness. It is a mutagen like the FEV. It changes people into a new, post-human life form by altering their bodies on a cellular level. It would be theoretically possible though, to do something. Doctor Virgil was able to turn himself into a super mutant and then back again. But that was a very specific situation and he even said that his formula won't work on other super mutants. Someone with enough time, equipment, samples and medical know how might be able to come up with something. But finding someone like that in the wasteland is rare. The doctor in Underworld in the Capitol Wastes was doing work on ferals. Honestly a ghoul doctor seems the most likely to come up with something. They are the ones with the life span and motivation to be able to undertake the study. Maybe Curie with her extensive medical knowledge could help. Though I imagine some ghouls might not want to give it up. Especially if they could get some assurances of not turning feral someday. Commonwealth ghouls seem to have it a little better than the ones in the Capitol Wastes or the Mojave. They seem more leathery skinned than rotting. Possibly exposure to salt air? So presumably the smell and limbs falling off aren't as much a problem here. And possibly related, people overall seem to treat ghouls better in the Commonwealth. Sure there are still bigots, but the average Commonwealth citizen seems better disposed, willing to accept them as people instead of potential brain eating zombies. Even Gob in Megaton complained that most people there treated him bad, and they seem the most tolerant. You never saw friendly ghouls in other settlements aside from Underworld. In the Commonwealth though, it was a bit better. Goodneighbor was a very mixed town, even some inter-species dating going on between humans and ghouls. Your own settlements could have both humans and ghouls living peacefully together. The Slog was all ghoul, but they encourage human traders to stop by. Were I a ghoul in the Commonwealth, I might not be so eager for a cure than if I was one elsewhere.
Ghoulification rots away their body. You MIGHT be able to find away to stop Ghoulification in its tracks, but once the damage is done the damage is done. Ferals will always be Feral, and honestly "curing" ghoulification would most likely immediately kill and ghoul you tried it on considering Ghoulification is literally the only thing keeping them from quite literally falling apart.
If Virgil can make an experimental cure for going Super Mutant, I’d like to think there possibly *MIGHT* be a cure for ghoulification. I also remember a ghoul doctor in FO3’s underworld working on a cure himself, but I think we can assume that 10 years later, it proved to be a fruitless effort with no cure found by anyone in the Nuka World DLC or vanilla version of FO4. 🙁
Darth Vader no but it makes sense. They also proved they have small manequins in the hallway that gets smaller as you go on so they could have just used one like that

No, it's just in the hands of an underleveled melee build. I'd be surprised if the gun had better than a heavy receiver, or the character any levels of rifleman.
Ox, you never know what is possible; that defected Institute scientist turned himself into a super-mutant then back after the sole survivor recovered his work from his lab. It might be possible to reverse goulism in a similar way, but maybe only if they still retain even a slight fragment of sentient former selves. But that's just speculation on my part; I don't really know what ways Bethesda will take their Fallout canon in the future. So many different fan theorys have sprouted from this franchise, and that is why I love the series as a whole so much. Thank you Ox for another fantastic video keep up the good work. :) :P

I cant wait for part 2!!
Oxhorn you are the main reason i started fallout and got excited to get the dlcs
Oxhorn, can you do a video on the Grandchester Mystery Manson?
I already did one here: ua-cam.com/video/HkCNZLJ2w7w/v-deo.html
Robert McCauley he’s done one but he needs to do a new one going into detail and more of the lore
Well, there's no lore to be had that isn't covered in the walk through of the mansion...
I always had an irrational fear of fun houses growing up so this area was a living nightmare for me. Took me a while to get through it all but was worth it
Fun times in the fun house.
fallenangel8X oh its you. I remember you. Thought you would of keeled over somewhere and would get off the internet and start acting you age, after all, you are 'an educated adult'
Kid chill adults know more about imagination and creativity than you young wipper snappers besides fallout is the game for us grampas. Waves cane. Now go eat your greens and grow healthy now ya here.
Nathan Cooper yea haha go watch oxhorns comments on the Irish shipping co video he made, see how much of an adult he is
Rebly able says I kid
the runner i hope my eyes arent deceiving me, that better be a 1 you said, because Jesus your English is lovely, A real credit to how advanced our species is.
You kept standing in front of the rad sprayer and was collecting up to 25+ a sec
I love how you can be the strongest person in the commonwealth and kill behemoths with your fists but you can't break wood to get threw or locks
Great content like always Ox! Also to mention, I'd love to see a full series for 4's DLC's like New Vegas and 3, as well as others. You got a supporter for life here :) keep it up!
That gun does no damage
No, it's just in the hands of an underleveled melee build. I'd be surprised if the gun had better than a heavy receiver, or the character any levels of rifleman.
He should be getting a staggering ripper, don't have to say why(its very defensive)
is it weird that i watch your vids while playing fallout?
Ryan Mallett no I do it too
I think we all have at least once
Every time I visit Nuka World, it reminds me of New Vegas. The theme, the desert-like area, the slight yellowish filter and the soundtrack. I love it
Great vid keep up!
I love this game a lot and your commentary makes it so much better thank you
6:41 "...i was at half-life". Ok, no reason to go nuclear over that.
The fun house made me terribly sick for the entire day last time I played though it, which sucks because I want to finish Nuka world and I just can't past the dizziness I get from being spun around like that.
OX. PLEASE. THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS WATCHING THE SNIPER CLIPS I WAS SCREAMING ON THE INSIDE. PLEASE PUT POINTS INTO GUN NUT AND CRAFT A SUPPRESSOR. PLEASE.
Why they don't do shit all enemies nearby still notice you
Turn off the caps lock dumbass.
That round room is like a Saw trap. Correction the hole building is
it's funny because you edited this, and still didn't realize you spelled whole "hole". (no i don't care you made this two years ago)
Oxhorn is so underrated, honestly the best youtuber going
Lewis Smith not really
Asher Ketchup your picture is of ethan from h3h3, the most self righteous and annoying youtuber so excuse me if I'm skeptical of your opinion of "best youtuber"
Well that's really your opinion by calling him annoying because UA-cam preferences is subjective
The rotating disc with all the ghouls was funny 👍🏼👌🏼
Do Mothership Zeta! Please do it!
Connor Of Paeleontology he will soon
And also, there is the way to go right, after entering the Southern entrance, if you look properly, you will notice a wooden fence and the metal door right behind it, you actually able to hop over the fence, at least I did (no mods had been used for this), just jump a lot and eventually you will do this, it is the shortest way to the Employee's tunnels
Keep going!
Komrade Ivan hello Comrade!
Love you logo of the amazing KGB
How could you make your fallout 4 videos so fantastic, I have been following 7 fallout 4 channels, only yours is outstanding, I like your previous one about trip to star. Waiting for GTX2080 until I have time to play 24/7 again.
Kiddie Kingdom is my least favorite section of Nuka World. So annoying. The creepy carnival thing with the voice in the loudspeakers has been done before in video games.
IMO, dry rock gulch is the worst...only because of the cave crickets...in New Jersey, we have those (not as big but they are still almost the size of your palm, AND THEY JUMP AT YOU) every time i go into my basement i have to worry about seeing the jersey cave cricket, they scare the s**t out of me
I hate kiddie kingdom because I go lost so many times in it and irradiated at the same times. Those cars on the track are annoying too.
@@j.hanninen Never said it was difficult so
"This used to be a funhouse, but now it's full of evil ghou(w)ls."
Enjoy our new nuka world kiddy kingdom attractian "THE FERALWHEEL!!!"
Oxhorn you do more damage if you use the suppressor on your combat rifle if you have the sneak perk and mr.sandman perk
I sadly don;t have the perks for that yet. This character is still in the 30s.
Btw what character build are you doing?
Glad you are doing this out of Power Armor it will make it more interesting for you.
89 likes yet only 50 views, come on UA-cam. Hahaha
Jefe Jeffrey 6 hours later 1.3k likes and 23 000 views
This Fun House reminds me The Warriors game and the mission Encore, where you defend Coney island amusement park against Hi Hats, the mimes gang attack
25:54 🤣🤣
See, the reason you're so great is the fact that you do voice over, but you talk as if you're narrating the game, not commentating! Brilliant!
WHERE'S MOTHERSHIP ZETA?!?!?!
He said in a live stream last week that it would come in the next month or so
bacd 1990 i have played it, it was incredible! I just want to see his take on it
in space...
@@TritonBrickRailway gone reduced to atoms
@@idontknow-kr6rk that comment was over a year ago and he's already done the mothership zeta series
the fun house made me motion sick 8(
had to play in first person because 3rd was even worse in this building.
i either had to do it really slowly (first time) or really quickly (second time).
the spinning room and spinning tunnels were the worst parts
