This movie needs an intro from Rod Serling where he says, "this is Anna. She is young, attractive, and seeking refuge from a failed relationship. In Vienna, Anna has found a dusty old apartment where she can rest her bones. But what Anna doesn't realize is that the apartment to which she is about to sign the contract will open the door to an unbelievable nightmare. She will enter a place that absorbs youth and vitality like a tree absorbs sunlight to live. Anna is about to come face-to-face with the horror of her impending mortality. A chamber from which there is no escape. Anna has just taken residence in a cozy corner of the Twilight Zone." (⊙﹏⊙✿)
I wonder why the government didn't assigned violent Prisoners to live inside the apartment instead of ignoring the problem and leaving it up to trap innocent civilians.
The strange cloth seems to be the cause, it literally try to choke her and keeps reappearing, I wonder why she didn't try to burn that random cloth if she can't burn the apartment itself?
Or maybe she does not want to trap her ex and his new partner because she knows how it feels to be trapped and she's not a horrible person. You don't need to have close ties to someone to be decent towards them. In any event, she's a goner anyways.
It always fascinates me how people in movies casually move into a place that has the owner's old furniture and belongings, which where I come from is complete bull. It makes me wonder if foreigners are really like this in real life.
Well furnished apartments are especially popular with foreigners and expats on assignment, since they don't have to deal with buying and then later getting rid of or selling furniture.

This building seem more like something from an SCP foundation. It probably is since it's an anomaly that feeds off of people coming in looking for rent, it's almost like a parasitic plant luring insects to devour. I could assume it to be a 'Keter class object' based on the SCP lore.
Holy fuck the concept is terrifying. I felt dread when she asked the man to lock the apartment from outside - isolation is terrifying even if I'm living one
The old center of my city is entirely built in the same Viennese style. Most of them still residential, 5m tall ceilings, walls with huge windows. It's always creeped me out walking past them. Always this incredible musty stink carried by very cold and dry air, abandoned basements with curb-level windows peering down into them, grates busted, your footsteps reverberating. Absolutely crumbling facades with masonic insignia, mutilated gods and goddesses missing limb and face laden with graffiti and shrapnel from a now 30 year old war. Renovation is a sisyphean task, as part owners are impossible to track down and their stakes passed along into smaller and smaller pieces to their progeny. Man, this really hits home. I wish we could grow some balls and deal with these, but no, better leave them to rot along with the poor old souls still living inside like old tomes filled with bookworms just disintegrating on these grotesque shelves.
This is a Sad story. I hope this would never exist in reality where you need to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others especially your loved ones. in this story I realized that No matter How rich or powerful we are. there's only one way waiting for us. and that is death that most of us fear to face.
Me, a 26 year old named Anna… 🤔 fascinating.. better keep up with my skin care routine just in case I rent out a haunted apartment and age 80 years in 5 days.
The flaw in this sacrifice is the fact there’s other doilies and items in the apartment. Other people have died there and more will die in the future. She isn’t the last.
i love staying for days inside my apartment. fully stocked kitchen and bar... chill. but even I would not be able to stay inside forever for the fear of not aging and stuff. funny, i live in Vienna :))
This thing's clearly an SCP. That said, the most unrealistic part is that the government just decided to forget about it. Realistically, they'd be studying it day and night and using it to get rid of people that need to 'disappear'.

Anna has just taken residence in a cozy corner of the Twilight Zone." (⊙﹏⊙✿)
ok i soo read that in Rod Serling voice...
Hell Yeah 🙌🏾
🎉 👏 wow that was awesome haha.. I'm Huge fan of The Twilight Zone.. and yes I agree with u
That was spot on..
Agreed. Great Serling feel!
It probably won't work
Worth a try. Maybe holy water helps if burning doesn't work.

He meant to say "selflessness" but accidentally said selfishness
Or maybe she does not want to trap her ex and his new partner because she knows how it feels to be trapped and she's not a horrible person. You don't need to have close ties to someone to be decent towards them. In any event, she's a goner anyways.
Yeah, she's just ruining their entire lives for maybe a few years of life
@@rosesweetcharlotte Hours, lol
The narrator is projecting. He would only avoid sacrificing his ex if he still had feelings for the person. He assumes this character is the same. 🤔
I would buy Danny Elfman’s old house with everything still intact if I could. I love his creepy dolls and stuff and couldn’t be bothered to decorate it myself anyway.
Anna is insane I totally agree
This sounds like a very interesting and awesome movie! Not your usual haunted apartment scenario!
I could binge watch these forever.
Because someone is your ex, doesn’t make them evil. It means things didn’t work out for both of you…
Oh damn i am speechless but yet again you manage to make an amazing video thank you for not letting me die of boredom
my grandma is literally 92 years old yet she looks strong, cooks delicious food, talks like a normal aged person, fr this movie took it far
Depends if she took care of herself physical and mentally
well I rarely see her do idunno if she does take care of herself or not
8:45 - Selflessness, not selfishness 😆

That apartment really be avoiding taxes 💀
There are some fantastic stories out there, just waiting to be found. This movie's plot is so creepily original, and like nothing I've seen before. Thanks as always @Mystery Recapped
😂😂 He got me at the " people don't retire until they're almost dead " 😂😂
Hahahahaha
Please answer! It's driving me crazy. Why do these recap channels not mention the actual movie or series used?
It had it onscreen, but you didn't notice. It's called Vienna Waits for You.
i can’t believe the first thing i do when i wake up is check to see if you’ve posted yet ahah thank youuuu☺️
Movie is called Vienna waits for you
This was so good.... Would love for this to be a full in depth movie to learn more about the apartment and how it came to be.
Have you watched THE HOUSE?
What a brave and selfless act of Anna to stay there.
This is crazy. NO woman would move into a place like that alone without cats. And these voiceovers are getting better every day!
The cats would die after one day.
@@nuclearcatbaby1131 :(
I cannot understand, they can simply close this house, but instead they still persist in renting this house.
It sounds like they will. The guy will simply keep her on the lease
@@rosesweetcharlotte its weird that he hasnt done it with other people. In the end, its clear that she wasnt the only one to sacrifice herself
“Anna is insane.” Yes. Yes she is. How much paint did she have in there??
I didn't expect this movie to make me cry.
I watched this almost 5 years ago and I still think about it. It's a messed up concept
Corporations do the same thing. Feed on the lifeblood of workers to keep it alive to an extent. 😐
Monster house hotel edition be like:
'The house is alive and it's obsessed with you' is such a great / horrifying angle on the haunted house archetype
"Anna is insane" Facts
"These days ppl don't retire until their almost dead".... 😂
So FKN true.
This would be a great apartment for those who wish to not live any longer.
What an intriguing story.
8:38 You mean selflessness, not selfishness, chief.
Dang , that was creepy concept
Yeah
This may be a dark fantasy movie but sometimes real life may illogically put people into no-option circumstances.
What's the name of it
Hmm
What is the name of movie
Poor Anna she sacrifices herself so no one can suffer like she did.
Movie Name?
"The apartment didn't want any outside interference, so the government left it alone."
Why can't it be like that in America 😢
the line you say at 1:16 made me cackle
"People these days don't retire until they're almost dead."
It's so insane to me that people still have kids...
Not all of us want to be the period at the end of a genealogical sentence.
@@wrAIth-AI Wow, what a great reason to have kids.
You're joking, right?
If you're poor, you shouldn't be breeding period.
Also i believe it is legally requested that there must be a limit to how small you can write the terms of a contract.
She could have let her ex and his girlfriend stay. You'll never be enough if your such a good person.
For what? She's ruining their lives for maybe a few tiny years of life
Movie name?
OMG living there is scary poor lady tries stopping people to go through the same pain as she did. I will never be able to do that. 🥺
I think we have all lived in a house like that at one time or other. A house that drains your energy, your bank account and your very will to live.
This is literally the story of the American dream.
Ann is insane! I snorted!! Love these recaps for the great humor
How many
“Person does thing, not realising years has passed”
And
“In 2890, a stupid thing is banned”
“In the future, opposite things are law”
i love staying for days inside my apartment. fully stocked kitchen and bar... chill. but even I would not be able to stay inside forever for the fear of not aging and stuff. funny, i live in Vienna :))
Awesome profile picture.
This thing's clearly an SCP.
That said, the most unrealistic part is that the government just decided to forget about it. Realistically, they'd be studying it day and night and using it to get rid of people that need to 'disappear'.
...Just because the character, Anna, is doing the same thing over and over does NOT maker insane. She was BORN insane, not a Saint. Great Vid for a non-violent horror story, for the end of October. Good voice, humor was forced, not natural, sorry. Good music track, and a wonderful description. Well done Mystery Recapped.
What ia the movie name?
Great video. Could you please reveal the name of this movie? The landlord in this movie mentioned that the movie plays in Vienna, which is the city where I live in. Thank you!
Name of movie: Vienna Waits For You
I really like stories like this. Good bedtime stories.... thanks for that. You got a new subscription....
Always have a real microscope handy whenever you are going to sign contracts.😹😹😹
Just go down the stairs and out the door like a normal person would
