It’s so cool that your students watch your videos seeing comments like “hi Mr C” or “it’s me from class mr C” is cool knowing u don’t hide the fact u make UA-cam videos! Also snarky puppy is ä excellent example of what can happen if u practice a lot and stick with band! and how high of a skill cieling instruments have to them! Also recently made it into my schools honor band which I’m very excited and proud of myself for!
Yep I don’t hide it. The kids know which is funny because most of the teachers don’t know. I’d rather have fun with the kids anyway. Congratulations on making your honors band. That’s a huge accomplishment. Make sure to be happy about that. It’s too easy as a musician to not enjoy the successes we have along the way. On a side note I so prefer Mr.C over any other name. It just sounds so good when they say it. Take care man.
Haven't been a huge fan of their overly latin albums, but this one's exactly at the right spot of fusion between latin and funk. In this song, I especially love how the triangle keeps it together / is the the thing to listen to manage to groove along during the sax solo ^^ Would love to see you react to something by Scary Goldings (larry goldings + scary pockets), especially their latest works with John Scofield. Cornish Hen is a great one for example :)
I'd love for you to react to the videos from the Snarky Puppy/Metropol Orchestra sessions. Sintra/Flight/Atchafalaya is great as well as the Curtain. But the other tracks from the album are awesome as well.
I've been, in different periods, severely addicted to The Curtain and Sintra/Flight/Atchafalaya, in that order, and now it's been The Clearing's time. Such an incredibly funky tune.
Yeah, with three drummers they map out who is going to take each section beforehand, and then use a lot of eye contact to cue the trade offs. The hand off drummer will end on beat 4 so they don't over lap.
You should try *The Warning* - 3 sisters who have deep roots in classic hard rock, spiced up with newer elements from grunge, punk, metal, and even k-pop. Their songwriting is sophisticated enough to produce a concept album when they were all in their mid-teens or younger. Try 'Evolve', 'Disciple', and 'Animosity' for some of their newer stuff.
I JUST got back from a night before festival music master class with four of Snarky Puppy for young musicians. Here's Larnell having some fun! ua-cam.com/video/RKMw94bco2Y/v-deo.html
And Bob btw if you never saw the extended 10min trailer they did for this session...it's pretty dope here it is..and Happy Holidays! ua-cam.com/video/5mNSmxtWkQM/v-deo.html

Great vibe! And love the jazzy flutes 🙂 Thanks for an interesting reaction!
Thanks so much Petra! This was a great song. These guys are amazing!
Yep that was one of the very first songs that they released and that is still one of my favorite songs on that album to this day.

I also love the clearing
SYLVA is a suite. Best heard in one sitting, yet each piece stands on its own.

19 players, 128 channels of simultaneous live audio. No one is stepping on anyone else.
Crazy right. And so awesome!
JT, Jameson, and Larnell are incredible trio. The whole band is so damn amazing.
They sure are. Some of the best musicians who just happened to make a super band.

Ground Up Music Festival FEB4th...can't wait to see them! And Mark Letierri's band is also playing that day. Dude you should get down here and go.
Man that sounds awesome. I’m hoping to catch them in Pittsburgh or Cleveland.
@@bobcieslinski You realize you'll kick yourself if you don't.

Wow Lee. You are so lucky to have been in that room to learn from them. What do you play?
You haven’t mentioned the 3 drummers being used as well as the outstanding percussion section.
They are all amazing in this group. Wow!
I like this a lot! With all the new bands you do and your love of string Instruments why don’t you review the Hu? Maybe you have and I missed it.
Hey Dixie! Oh man those guys are awesome. I’ve heard them before and I just had a student show me them again. Really unique and incredible singing.
You and Michael had similar reactions at 8:09 😂🤌🏽

Thanks Lee! Happy Holidays to you too!
You should react to the Snarky Puppy/ jacob Collier colab. So much going on.
I have done one of their collabs. Check it out on my channel. Thanks David!
Do you accept suggestions for music reactions?
