Man, thanks a lot for the video. It gave me enough confidence to go ahead, follow your link and buy one. Great thing about your link is that it comes with the case and replacement head, unlike the one I had saved in my Amazon wish list.
Sounds to me like meridian should have a "shaver" model as well... do they? That would possibly be the best option for groin, butt, pubic hair area on the go.
I was a huge Noreclo fan till Meridian. I use it the most now, but I still use Noreclo when I want to go bald but I really don't do that as much as I did when I was younger. Meridian just feels good, is super easy and haven't been nicked yet
I have an older version of the norelco and it nicks me all the time no matter how patient I am. Also the version I had had a cradle charger and the battery died even though it was on the cradle. I did everything to revive it, but for some reason all of a sudden it just stopped working. I've been trying to find one that can do the same thing but can't cut me. I'll give it another go. Thanks for the video man. Good work. sub here and I liked a bunch of your vids to help you out.
Remember it is not just about slow, not sure if you saw my other video on this but you have to pull tight. Can't let it on loose skin. Also, if you aren't looking to go bald, grab the meridian and use a guard that will protect you from getting nicked. I've had 3 Norelco's and the Merdian now for 6 months and never get nicked. But you have to be careful with anything. That's why I saw don't just go down there fearless LOL. Remember both of these have an awesome return policy so if for any reason you don't like it just return it. Maybe try both.
@@Zachus yeah I appreciate the advice. Maybe mine just wasn't sharp or something. Typically, I didn't even know I got nicked until I noticed blood. I'm all or none on it. Its not fun being prickly tbh. We'll see about the new model. I generally love norelco so I was kind of shocked that mine died after only a few years. Thanks again. Keep up the good work. Hope your channel grows!
Sounds like we have a similar version. That cradle charger is weird. One end will be full powered and the other barely going and this would be after a good while on the charger. Glad they changed the charging set up on the new one
Great review thanks for breaking down the difference between a trimmer vs a shaver that’s super helpful! I’m between the Norelco 5000 and 7000. The only thing the 5000 seems to have over the 7000 is the attachment to help you reach your back easier. Are you able to shave your back without struggle with the 7000 or do you think that extension piece would be helpful? Cheers!
Great video, thank you for it. A question though, there are 3 model, 7025, 7030, and 7040, if you want to get your head totally bald, can all of them do it perfectly?
They are all the same. The numbers just mean where their sold or what comes with them and yes this will get you bald. Even the 3000 will get you bald. They’re all really good and the only ones I use to go bald. You have to be a little careful, but they are the best at protecting you down there. amzn.to/46rqEam
tyyyy for the video! could u answer a few questions and concerns i have if u can? so i have really really really sensitive skin, and whenever i try to shave my back and rear end with a manual razor i always get really bad bumps and ingrown hairs i wanna try a trimmer since a lot of people recommend them to get almost a shave, so that there's just short, thin stubble at most however, when i see people using the trimmer on the Phillips 7000 one, it only seems to get rid of the longest hairs and still leave all of the shorter and pretty thick hair behind, even with the 3 millimeter setting so i was wondering: A) does the Meridian trim way shorter than the Phillips 7000? How short does it trim on average? Like, is it just like peach fuzz or thin stubble left or does it leave the hair a bit long still? B) what's the difference between the shaver side of the Phillips 7000 (not the trimmer part), and a manual razor? Whenever i see people use it the results look really similar to a manual razor, but i was just wondering if it actually shaves off the skin layers since that could really irritate my skin and give me ingrown hairs Sorry this was so long!! Any help would be soooo so so so greatly appreciated! Tyy in advance
For sure get the meridian. Also the first few times you shave its normal to get Irritation and red bumps. exfoliate a lot to prevent ingrown with a loofah. There are other creams as well to help. It'll get you pretty shaven. 7000 is for longer trimming or shaving down bald. Hope this helps
Great review video. Is the shaving portion of the Phillips safe to use in between the cheeks area? Also, how does it standout compared to a regular razor 🪒? Never had one of these electric shavers, only trimmers.
@@Zachus Thank you! I’ve recently tried the Phillips and seems like the trimmer side doesn’t cut really close, I’ve used it on the 3mm setting, however it seems longer. Does the Meridian provide a closer trim?
Yeah the Philips is only good for shaving, bald, if you just want to keep it trimmed, so far the Meridian is my fav out of all that I've tried. Balls Co, Nut Trimmer, others are good but I still go to Meridian and it's easy to travel with zachus.me/MeridianDeluxe (ZACHUS15 Code) or Amazon amzn.to/3z0PTC1 Hope this helps. I use both but I don't always shave and I agree with you Norelco trimmer is too high especially since it's neck down only
just bought the Norelco 7000. Not to happy with the jewel shaving. Using the trimmer at 3mm and not getting a close smooth effect with pulling the hair up. Would you use the shave side and just keep it away from direct contact? Shaving the legs and stomach were okay.
For sure use the shaving part CAREFULLY directly on it or close. I don't usually go completely bald on the bag. I use my Meridian on now and then if I go bald I use Norelco shaving side
Hi, Do you use the Meridian to trim and in the area's you want to go bald norelco 7000? I consider getting both of them to trim area's where im prone to ingrowns with Meridian and other area with Norelco 7000.
Just curious, do you guys use the same facial trimmer to trim your pubes or do you guys have a separate shaver for that? I'm thinking of buying two of these. One for the face and one for the sack. Or do yall just wash and use the same one?
No way!!! This is not recommended for the face. Not designed for that. You need a different product for your face. This is a body groomer ... meaning chest, back, underarms, and of course family jewels and butt
This depends on several things 1. Your hair type 2. Is this your first time, because the first few times are an adjustment period 3. How you take care of down there, exfoliate, using soaps like body wash with conditioners. Mine were rough shaving and trimming when the first 2 times but now I have no issues. Really exfoliate good especially if you go low or bald to keep in-grown hairs from happening. Hope this helps
I got a Norelco 5000 After one year no more working For my bad i can't find the warranty I think i can better recommend to get Philips multigroom Than Norelco.
I think it looks cheap to be honest. The Meridian is my favorite right now for trimming and Norelco when I want to shave. I'll think about trying the Panasonic. Meridian is amazing!
@@Zachus Cheap it's the most expensive I've at almost $100 point is you can't review till you have it. Also it looks like the angle of the blade would do better in places like the butt.
I looked it up on Amazon and it was $35. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing. I'll think about trying it but haven't heard of it till you mentioned it even in my search.
It's not designed for hair above the neck. The blades are different and designed for the body hair that grows different. I have a new video on what I recommend for the Beard, called Brio ua-cam.com/video/9FutdVSQlSg/v-deo.html
They are both specifically for that. As well as check, butt, etc... they are body trimmers/shavers. Watch my others on this and I go into more detail haha. I have a ton of stuff for Things for Men and the family jewels 😉
There's nothing that does all 3 that I can recommend. The Meridian trimmer (amzn.to/3Sb3kdu) is everything below the neck and then I recommended something that’s great for beard trimming and even shaving and even can cut your hair. ua-cam.com/video/9FutdVSQlSg/v-deo.htmlsi=rxcasdt5Jr-3mVXa (amzn.to/3QtFk3W) You need at least these two If you want to go bald below the neck go with Notelco ( amzn.to/45L4KP1 ) the 5000 is also good.
Sounds like a bad one. Did you contact then about a warranty? I've got one almost 10 years old still going and another one from 6 years ago that's still going and one from 3 years dol ago. They last a long time normally.
