    I wouldn’t base your judgment on how well they can pose bc often time the rabbit is to hyper or excited to pose but your right almost of the time it means they aren’t structured correctly

    Thank you so much for making these videos! My mini lop doe had her very first litter about 1 week ago, but 1 passed away so only 5 left. They are all doing good and you've taught me so much about rabbits. I love your videos and your rabbits are so cuteee!

    Uhm...what is this. Your so rough with them they are not toys of course they don’t want to “pose” they are living things let them live their lives without having someone handle them as objects..hate people like this

      Exactly, she could injure them or even paradise them! And they should not have a bottle, they should have bowls! They also absaloutle y should not be on wired bottom cages as that can cause serious damage to their feet that do not have padding like dogs, she will again paradise them holding them like that! In my case I have never said this but, ANIMAL ABUSE!!! 😡

      Why does she keep bopping their heads like that? 🙄 So unnecessary.

    Do you have a video showing how to get your baby rabbits used to being posed? I just had a litter born and once they are able to walk around clearly, I want them to be used to being posed. Was wondering when's the best age to start and how to go about it?

      No, I have a doe that is barely 3lbs (Rory) and she is completely healthy, just a small one

    Kip is so cute! I just love his color, and being a charlie suits him.

  • @graceanderson4001

    Also the Charlie baby is pretty boarderline on being showable or not I have a doe with a tad more color and when I show her she get DQ about half the time depends on the judge

    • @halieswillum248
      @halieswillum248 6 років тому

      I agree that some judges may DQ the charlie. With my experience in showing holland lops it seems like the judges are more lenient with color. I see many torted otters pass as oranges.😂😂

    When do you start posing babies? And when you name your bunnies do you put the names on the pedigrees or do you leave it blank for the buyers to fill in? I’m trying to decide if I should name my bunnies and put it on the pedigrees or if I should leave it blank....

    • @HollysHollandsRabbitry
      @HollysHollandsRabbitry  6 років тому +1

      I start posing around 3-4 weeks (more info in the description). I put names on my pedigrees, owners can always rename them but never change the pedigree, since their ear number also corresponds to their name.

      Holly's Hollands Rabbitry do you tattoo all of your bunnies? Or do you just assign a tattoo number? Could you make a video on tattooing?

    Is there such thing as starting to pose them too late?
    Do they have to start as babies or can a 1yr+ learn?

    My holland lop is perfect show wise except his cooler is a chocolate based fawn and has been disqualified from 2 shows but not in others if you see this do you know why

    Let me start by saying I love your videos! I raised Rex rabbits, and showed, for 15 years. Now my girls are old enough to get into rabbits I’m ready to try some new colors, go more into my “project” bunnies. I had some Holland’s and I know the competition has always been stiff. Your rabbits look pretty good, the only thing I’d say, and it’s because it my big thing with Holland’s.. is the head/ears. If you would introduce a buck, or doe, with a big blocky head and short, close or even a little bit of the helicopter eat? You’d get some nice bunnies! Yours have a good body from what I can see. They look nice and compact, good mannered, good bone. Just need to throw a big headed, small but thick eared guy in there and they’d be close to perfect! That’s why I love breeding and showing, it was always so much fun. Meeting people and their bunnies, and the challenge. Color, form, personality, body shape, bone, the kits they produce... can’t wait! Maybe we’ll see you sometime! Keep those videos coming!!
