America is always laughed at as the one with clowns and sheep but England is arguably just as bad when you look close enough. Most people in my age group only started investing in politics 2 to 3 months ago and think they know everything about the world (some of them don't even know former PMs).

Also, you'll see other religious teachers/preachers trying to convert people into their religion but you'll never see Sikhs converting others into Sikhism. They accept you as your own and don't impose it on you.

      Have you ever lied?
      Stolen?
Used God's name as a curse? (ex. 'Oh my G-d')
      Dishonored your mother or father?
If you answered yes to any of the above, you have broken God's moral law, and are not right with God. When you die, you will be found guilty before God and sent to hell- a place of eternal torment, weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(By the way-every single human who has walked this earth but one (Jesus, the God-Man) has broken this moral code, and is guilty of sin!)
      But! There's good news!
In God's infinite mercy, he sent his one and only son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus died the death we deserved, and took the wrath of God on our behalf. This is a free gift for all those who repent (which means to turn away from wrong-doing) and confess Jesus as Lord, and have faith in him that he died on the cross for our sins, was risen after three days and sits at the right hand of God, the Father right now.
We are all guilty before God but Jesus paid our fine- let's turn towards Him, glorify Him, and rejoice in what He did for us on the cross!
      John 14:6
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'"
Jesus Christ is who he says he is.
He came to the earth, fully God, fully man. Jesus died on the cross bearing our sins, and faced the wrath of God for us as substitution that whosoever repents of their sin with a sincere heart, and has faith in Jesus Christ shall be saved. He was buried then resurrected after three days and awaits with the Father in heaven until the day of judgement and wrath.
Jesus did this because, according to Romans 3:23, "For we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Only Jesus lived a sinless life, a sinless life that we could never live. He is the only one who could die a substitutionary death for a sinner. So Jesus went to the cross to pay the debt we owe to God for our sin. Those covered by His sacrifice will inherit the kingdom of God and be reconciled to God.
Again, the way you do this, is you repent of your sin and have faith in Jesus. What does this mean? It means you take a good, hard look at your life. If you are honest, you will be grieved by your wrongdoing, and your sinful ways. Repent. To repent means to turn away from your wrongdoing. A sinner must acknowledge the hopelessness of his or her guilt before God in order for forgiveness to take place, and the sinner must understand that the "wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23).
Then, as Romans 10:9 says, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
      you will be saved."
You will be born again in Christ and will have eternal life as well as a good and true Shepherd watching over you with love. This is a gift freely given to all those who would repent and believe in Jesus. Not based off of works but by faith and faith alone.
If you don't repent of your sinful ways, and don't believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, you will face the eternal wrath of God in hell.
Please I beg you, I urge you- call upon Jesus today and put your faith in Him. Know Him, and have a relationship with the most Loving and true and good and holy, holy, holy Savior- Lord Jesus Christ.

As someone who is generally against religion, Sikhism is one that I don't mind too much. The people who follow the religion are tenfold more tolerant of different beliefs and values compared to those who follow other religions, notably Muslims, Christians, Jews, and to an extent Hindus. It's automatically better than the other 4 mentioned religions by default and there's no objective fact which can challenge that. Just look at them.

Just for anyone who didn't know.
Sikhism was built from peaceful origins through our gurus teachings but the whole religion survived through many many sacrifices under persecution from Mughals. It was only from 6th guru onwards onwards Sikhs had to take up the sword as all peaceful means had been exhausted. After long and bloody battles with Mughals our last guru gobind Singh ji made the sikh holy book the last guru after the attempted assassination by Mughals his wounds opened up days later and left the earth.
since then we have struggled to get our own home after being screwed by the Indian and English governments ( it's true no denying this fact)
India media trys to persecute Sikhs to this day and purposely separated us sikhs as they wanted to keep there position of power calling us terrorists all that usual jazz.
One day we will have our own land hopefully..we sacrificed a lot for India.
That's why there's a lot of pain in us Sikhs as we all know the truth and India trys to divide and conquer Punjab..they've cut it into so many parts already and still are (farmers)
One last thing is a main part of Sikhism is 'sewa' - selfless service.
We have open kitchens at the gurdwara so ALL people can sit at the same level and eat as equals.
No discrimation in caste or background.
Just so you know. There's so much to add but it's better to condense it.

I couldn't understand ever that why when a Sikh is to be presented internationally by media people then why they choose those Punjabi people who really are not what in reality Sikhs are.
Instead of a Turban it look like if that boy is waering a CAP of some sort.
Normal Punjabi and Sikh people wear Turban so different then what is being shown here. The style which is mostly followed by usual Sikhs is of different sort completely.
Please show NORMAL SIKHS to people around the world on media not some half-Sikhs of some sort.

    • @bigbadbirmz53
      @bigbadbirmz53 3 роки тому +1

@wisdom niko You must have had a christian or another abrahamic faith upbringing. Eastern faiths like Sikhi don't really do the indoctrination thing, its more a way of life with freedom to choose. Read up on it if you wish. There more indoctrination in government schools then anything.

    • @bigbadbirmz53
      @bigbadbirmz53 3 роки тому +1

@wisdom niko I guess that's what makes them mainstream right? The ones that can get the most followers. To be honest everything changes peoples minds in some way or another which is hard to escape like TV, media etc.
It just depends on what you want your mind to be open to learning, good things or bad things for your own growth.
Personally I think faiths that don't require conversions or 'club membership' for a 'seat in heaven' like Sikhi and Buddhism have really good teachings that help people evolve into spirtually happier people.

Even Muslims do wear Turbans, I like Turbans too and I found Long hair very unique and always a start originality for humans. Wearing turban doesn’t not define you a Muslim as Muslim have their own style of turban. There is a shape difference between Sikh turban and Muslim turban. Turban is encouragable to Muslim But it’s not compulsory as prophet Mohamed wore a turban. Hindu sages, Hindu kings and Hindu Pious men wear turbans as a sign of wise chief men and a crowned leader.
Sikhs have turban as a modest material to cover up their Long hair to keep it neat and Long hair represents Gifted Naturality by God and naturalised gender equality between men and women and if you cut it, your dishonoring Gods gift and making itself treat other sex different with inequality
Before Sikhism is born in 1490 AD, Turbans are worn in Ancient India, Babylon, Areas of Africa and Jamaica, South East Asia, Persia and Southern parts of Europe especially where hot climates

You will only go to heaven by Gods grace and the love he showed you by taking your sins from you and paying your death penalty with He’s life.
