Ansh, you look adorable in that dastar to put on. I loved your confidence and positive attitude even while you are still learning to tie the turban. Keep up buddy as you are role model for many young adults..
I love Sikhs! They are really good people and respect others. When they immigrate, they do not impose their religion on to others even if they are the majority!
Except in the winter... Or when it rains... Or at Halloween... Or during a global pandemic... I mean, I'm an atheist too, but I don't judge religious people for their choice of clothing, same as I don't judge anyone for their choice of clothing - well, unless you're wearing a Hawaiian shirt, then I'll judge the F out of you...
But u shud not mind anyone else covering their head, as it is their choice. Itz their head. Wat u say? Further...just covering the head does not pose a security threat to the society.
The essence of real Sikh Turban is little bit different then what is being presented here in beginning. The way of wearing Turban is usually different and there are different set of turbans for different people in Sikhism too. For e.g. Nihang Sikhs wear and carry Dumala Turban
I doubt the majority would bother, maybe to get the letter and then do whatever. In the UK, it would also make sense to use a more westernised name also so it’s easy to understand and say etc
I couldn't understand ever that why when a Sikh is to be presented internationally by media people then why they choose those Punjabi people who really are not what in reality Sikhs are. Instead of a Turban it look like if that boy is waering a CAP of some sort. Normal Punjabi and Sikh people wear Turban so different then what is being shown here. The style which is mostly followed by usual Sikhs is of different sort completely. Please show NORMAL SIKHS to people around the world on media not some half-Sikhs of some sort.
Its just religion symbol, but if you dont cheating others, gossip, hatred also count to be a good person and respect for women But overall I respect religion not people sometimes
@wisdom niko I hear this argument alot but I genuinely have always believed that it's just a convenient smoke screen behind which some people can hide their true intentions. I don't necessarily think it's religion in itself that is the issue
@wisdom niko You must have had a christian or another abrahamic faith upbringing. Eastern faiths like Sikhi don't really do the indoctrination thing, its more a way of life with freedom to choose. Read up on it if you wish. There more indoctrination in government schools then anything.
@wisdom niko I guess that's what makes them mainstream right? The ones that can get the most followers. To be honest everything changes peoples minds in some way or another which is hard to escape like TV, media etc. It just depends on what you want your mind to be open to learning, good things or bad things for your own growth. Personally I think faiths that don't require conversions or 'club membership' for a 'seat in heaven' like Sikhi and Buddhism have really good teachings that help people evolve into spirtually happier people.
Even Muslims do wear Turbans, I like Turbans too and I found Long hair very unique and always a start originality for humans. Wearing turban doesn’t not define you a Muslim as Muslim have their own style of turban. There is a shape difference between Sikh turban and Muslim turban. Turban is encouragable to Muslim But it’s not compulsory as prophet Mohamed wore a turban. Hindu sages, Hindu kings and Hindu Pious men wear turbans as a sign of wise chief men and a crowned leader. Sikhs have turban as a modest material to cover up their Long hair to keep it neat and Long hair represents Gifted Naturality by God and naturalised gender equality between men and women and if you cut it, your dishonoring Gods gift and making itself treat other sex different with inequality Before Sikhism is born in 1490 AD, Turbans are worn in Ancient India, Babylon, Areas of Africa and Jamaica, South East Asia, Persia and Southern parts of Europe especially where hot climates
@@ssuuppeerrbbooyy They do, I see some here and there (also one of my friends does) but most don’t bother. The ones that do are usually more serious about spiritually/religion.
Women can wear Turbans too. Turbans used to represent a sign of leadership and royalty in South Asia. A woman wearing a Turban is a sign of Gender equality and women empowerment.
NO ONE IS PROMISED TOMORROW JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE AND THE ONLY NAME GIVEN BY THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD WHERE WE CAN BE SAVED JOHN 3.16 so please make today the day of your salvation and ask Jesus to save you ask him to forgive you of your sins by the finished work he paid on the cross for you and in that very moment he will give you eternal life and write your name in the book of life as the Angels in heaven rejoice Xx John 14.6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me Revelation 20:15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” and the RAPTURE is soon when Jesus will send the Angles to take all those in christ and the children out of harms way in the blink of an eye then the tribulation will begin as we are in the end times and the beast is rising at the end of the 7 year tribulation the 2nd coming of christ
You can be the greatest person who ever lived and spend all your life doing good and you will still fall short of holiness Jesus is the only way to heaven don’t be fooled with false religions that teach that you can bribe your way to heaven with your good deeds You will only go to heaven by Gods grace and the love he showed you by taking your sins from you and paying your death penalty with He’s life. You have nothing to offer a holy God, all you need to do is repend, turn from sin and acknowledged Him as God and you will share eternity in Heaven
Sorry to break it you. If you are the greatest person who ever lived and spent your whole life doing good. I assure you, you will be accepted in heaven. If you really think Jesus is the only way then I feel sorry for you. You need to let go off that ego
It’s not suppose to be compelling for non-Sikhs. For Sikhs, it is, as it’s the main identity marker that strengthens their sense of individual and collective sovereignty. These are subjective matters that are meant for those who think and live the Sikh way.

Please I beg you, I urge you- call upon Jesus today and put your faith in Him. Know Him, and have a relationship with the most Loving and true and good and holy, holy, holy Savior- Lord Jesus Christ.
Ansh, you look adorable in that dastar to put on. I loved your confidence and positive attitude even while you are still learning to tie the turban. Keep up buddy as you are role model for many young adults..
Someone give the Sikhs their own country already.

while im not normally tolerant to people who allow religion to truly control them, i respect sikhs. they are lovely people, and they have amazing hats
Sikhism is highly tolerant of other faiths, races, ideologies, etc.
It's NOT A HAT! It's called a turban Dastar in punjabi.
I love Sikhs! They are really good people and respect others. When they immigrate, they do not impose their religion on to others even if they are the majority!

Good for you
Except in the winter...

The essence of real Sikh Turban is little bit different then what is being presented here in beginning. The way of wearing Turban is usually different and there are different set of turbans for different people in Sikhism too. For e.g. Nihang Sikhs wear and carry Dumala Turban
I respect all religions, but not to control the world...peace ...
You mean Islam and Christianity.

@Adi S Yes.
Sikhism is against religious supremacy. We do NOT actively look for converts to our religion.

Mr Singh (?) Was he a Sikh ?
we have members in the us army, they wear a camo turban
Do Sikhs actually name their kids using the Guru Grant Sahib, or is that something we just learnt in RE that isn't true.
Some do, some don’t. Up to the parents
I doubt the majority would bother, maybe to get the letter and then do whatever. In the UK, it would also make sense to use a more westernised name also so it’s easy to understand and say etc
Sorry but as a Sikh this is kinda stupid,, the kid has shaved his sideburns? Ur not meant to cut ur hair 🤦🏾♂️
@ITACHI PUBG indian or pakistani which punjab?
❤
I couldn't understand ever that why when a Sikh is to be presented internationally by media people then why they choose those Punjabi people who really are not what in reality Sikhs are.
Instead of a Turban it look like if that boy is waering a CAP of some sort.
Normal Punjabi and Sikh people wear Turban so different then what is being shown here. The style which is mostly followed by usual Sikhs is of different sort completely.
Please show NORMAL SIKHS to people around the world on media not some half-Sikhs of some sort.

Don't judge people let them do whatever they.
Its just religion symbol, but if you dont cheating others, gossip, hatred also count to be a good person and respect for women
But overall I respect religion not people sometimes
@wisdom niko i have enough experience living with them
@wisdom niko I hear this argument alot but I genuinely have always believed that it's just a convenient smoke screen behind which some people can hide their true intentions.
The BBC got me fucked up. We just got into this and it's over?

Even Muslims do wear Turbans, I like Turbans too and I found Long hair very unique and always a start originality for humans. Wearing turban doesn’t not define you a Muslim as Muslim have their own style of turban. There is a shape difference between Sikh turban and Muslim turban. Turban is encouragable to Muslim But it’s not compulsory as prophet Mohamed wore a turban. Hindu sages, Hindu kings and Hindu Pious men wear turbans as a sign of wise chief men and a crowned leader.
Sikhs have turban as a modest material to cover up their Long hair to keep it neat and Long hair represents Gifted Naturality by God and naturalised gender equality between men and women and if you cut it, your dishonoring Gods gift and making itself treat other sex different with inequality
Before Sikhism is born in 1490 AD, Turbans are worn in Ancient India, Babylon, Areas of Africa and Jamaica, South East Asia, Persia and Southern parts of Europe especially where hot climates
Hindus never works turbans. They copied Muslims.
That’s what’s up
Can women wear turbans?
Yes
Of course :)
@@akaur5808 @TheBrownEyedBrunette Why dont they?
@@ssuuppeerrbbooyy They do, I see some here and there (also one of my friends does) but most don’t bother. The ones that do are usually more serious about spiritually/religion.
Women can wear Turbans too. Turbans used to represent a sign of leadership and royalty in South Asia. A woman wearing a Turban is a sign of Gender equality and women empowerment.

You can be the greatest person who ever lived and spend all your life doing good and you will still fall short of holiness
Jesus is the only way to heaven don’t be fooled with false religions that teach that you can bribe your way to heaven with your good deeds
You will only go to heaven by Gods grace and the love he showed you by taking your sins from you and paying your death penalty with He’s life.
You have nothing to offer a holy God, all you need to do is repend, turn from sin and acknowledged Him as God and you will share eternity in Heaven

Kinda an odd special on the first day of Ramadan ... shouldn't it be on the Indian Holi Days?
Not odd at all. It was Vaisakhi day - the most important Sikh festival.
First day of Ramadan(Muslim holiday), first day of Navratri(Hindu holiday) and Vaiskhi(Sikh holiday) fell on the same day this year
The reasons to Wear the Sikh Hat are not Compelling.
It’s not suppose to be compelling for non-Sikhs. For Sikhs, it is, as it’s the main identity marker that strengthens their sense of individual and collective sovereignty. These are subjective matters that are meant for those who think and live the Sikh way.
We dunt force non-Sikhs to cover their heads. Even among Sikhs...itz mainly Baptized Sikhs who r suppose to cover their heads.
