Hey mate, I have an 03 cr250 I'm building. I am after a pwk or lectron. How did you find the pwk? Do you know which oem bikes had it on standard? Cheers

Just got my air striker through JD Jetting. People, please do yourself a favor and don't cheap out on carbs, buy from a reputable source and you won't have any future headaches or problems down the road.

The copy looks quite good I must say, I'm just now renovating an old KDX 250 with a worn out Mikuni and are looking for best carburator options so my big question is: Does the copy also work well on the bike or is it wasted money?

      Hi Peter,
Thanks for watching the clip. The short answer to your question is ‘wasted money’! The copy does work, however I was unable to tune it to a point I was happy with and I was unable to source replacement jets for it as they are totally different to the genuine ones.
At first glance the copy looks good however when you start pulling it apart to get into the guts of it you can clearly see the quality difference!
Personally the extra money for the genuine Air Striker is worth ever cent.
When I placed my order for the genuine one I was able to specify what jetting I required which came pre-assembled in the carby! After fitting it to the bike there was very little tuning required and let me say it has been the best and easiest performance upgrade I have done to my CR. An unbelievable difference to to factory Mikuni for my bike but that’s not to say Mikuni do bad carburettors! It’s just a well known fact the specific model put on 03 CR’s were renown for being finicky with jetting and tuning!
Hope this helps with your decision and although green isn’t my preferred colour I’d love to see some photos of the renovation!

You have to be careful even with the 'real thing' with those Keihins.. A friend bought a genuine PWK 32 through the biggest distributor for those kinda carbs, Sudco.
he only noticed the difference when he was looking at a jetting diagram and going over the carb, and noticed a tiny difference in logo and then looked at various close up pics online and realised it was a cheap knock off, From their main distributor (they sell the real ones and the fake ones)
Well, they were rightfully very apologetic and sent him a brand new genuine carb overnighted and told him to keep the wrong one. It just goes to show you tat you should always examine the assemblies that you buy before you put them on the bike, as you might catch a manufacturing fault, or even an incorrect part! but nobody is going to take items back when you've already put them onto the bike, I don't know who can afford to just throw away money like that - especially now!
Get Dirty and take care everybody!

No, we have never sold knock off Keihins. We do not sell fake product. People copy our logo and name to bring credibility. Huge daily headache for us. If the over flow hoses have no blue print on them its a dead give away its a fake. Also if there is no "K" stamped into the jets, its also a give away that its fake.
We have never even sold any 32mm PWK period as Keihin do no offer one to us in that size. Your friend has got something wrong in his story mate.
See here, no 32 in our catalog.

Sorry to hear that atcrider but I can guarantee you not alone. My advice would be to take it up with whom ever you purchased it from particularly if it was sold to you as a genuine part.
