@@hassanwarriach2775 the excercise is called, at least they themselves said they are doing the bench press and you should definetely touch your chest when doing it,if you just go to half the way down and up that would be another exercise, they didnt do it for biomechanical reasons but because it was too hard for them and they didnt even lift the weight but the spotters were helping them.
"If the bar doesn't touch the chest, it's not a bench press, it's something else. There are valid reasons for doing short range exercises, such as practicing your lockout but, by definition, bench press touches the chest. The angle you hold your arms, the grip width, set ups, etc all affect the lift and your shoulder health. Elbows don't seem to take much abuse from bench pressing regardless of the depth. If anything using partial range of motion could be harder on your elbows simply because you're using more weight than you can really handle."
