This is how I got to know Sarah years ago! She included a lot of second hand shopping and updating. This reminds me of those days which I have missed, although I love her bigger budget projects. This is like coming home again for me. Hi Sarah! Welcome back to my budget!
From dark, dreary and boring, this is so cheerful and pretty. I especially like the florals and pinks, and the tiling. Two fabrics on the sofa? I didn't know that was done! With all the ornate and dramatic touches this could have turned out really gramma-ish and busy, but it is beautifully clean and crisp. I love that Tommy thinks of a light setting for cleaning :)
Clients seem very happy with overall refit, but it seems a little too feminine for a family home...would like to have seen more masculine aspects to balance all that pink...
Thanks for flooring info! Classic color is middle of road not too dark or too light , height to intersecting flooring. 1” tile border around edges. Also tip to use bold pattern on something small to not overpower room!
I am a little Gobsmacked by her choices for this make over, why? 4 years ago I bought the exact same floral and pink velvet and two other complimentary fabrics to create my new den space. I have education and training in Interior design and she has always been my favorite designer. I feel honored to know I channeled her so well when choosing my fabrics!
Sarah your choice of colors is just outstanding! When you do use bright colors, it’s amazingly calm, because you know how to combine colors so they don’t fight each other but work well together.
Sarah, I take back everything I said about you! You have hit the Designer Jackpot with this remodel!!! So vibrant, fun and forever Fabulous! You abandoned the comfort zone of creams, taupes and blue haze, to shake up the vitality with playful pink plumes of happy colors, combine d with rich, sturdy floors, walls and ceilings. Love everything about this makeover, including YOU!
It doesn't look like the same room, which was the goal if course. In this case it all went from sad to happy, and still reflected the character of the house. It's just perfect!
How could beauty be so kind to just a ordinary guy. Lol, I was tinking after meeting her at a home improvement exhibition (think they were calling it) very approachable, kind, sincere. Anyroad, great affordable Ideas sara, nice.
I love this! The room seems bigger. The colors and patterns are so interesting and cheerful. I like the use of vintage pieceS and the plate wall is perfect.
This room is gorgeous! But as a dog owner, I winced at the cream colored day bed. The beauty (that ottoman!) and cheerful quality of the new space is night and day difference with the old space.
Realtor here...I hate engineered hardwood and I love old hardwood. Two nails sticking up is not a good reason to replace old floors. Otherwise, nice makeover.
Wow! Sarah and Tommy, this is my favorite of them all. Bright, cheerful, exciting, fun and sophisticated glamour all in one. I adore bright colors and big florals...done right...and you've certainly surpassed the mark on that. Canada is so lucky to have you guys!! Love from Ecuador!!
Love Tommy's interaction here. He and Sarah work well together on camera. I would not have gone with the pink sofa as it is just too loud for me in color, but I love the transformation overall in the living room/dining room space. It gives me a lot of ideas of combining different elements in a space to make the whole thing cohesive.
I love seeing the work of this duo! It is always wonderful to realize at the end how all the details, fabrics, etc. "are well attached" to each other in the decor. All these colors are well linked together. They work so well together, the results are there! It's always stylish no matter what customers choose. You should come to Montréal to do some projects :) I would be happy to show you my town house. Three floors to decorate :)
I adore the outcome and was amazed by how well the daybed works as flexible seating and room divider. I wish that more of the original pieces could have been upcycled, repurposed, reupholstered, etc., as some were quirky and characterful.
My BFF got one. I was so envious. But everyone got tired of it too quickly. It was a very well-made, expensive sofa, so a big shame that it did not please everyone longer. I did learn a decorating lesson, though. And do you know what? People didn’t like sitting on it sometimes even though it was super comfortable-because it often clashed with outfits! Who knew!!!!
I love this room! It might not be right for my formal living room, but it is perfect for a first apartment for my daughter. I just wish I could find all the great second hand pieces near me (San Diego). All I find is overpriced old junk that was trendy 20 years ago. Abraham’s looks so cool! Maybe I’ll just have to fly up to CA now that borders are opening up. I would add a clear lucite tray on the ottoman to make it double as a coffee table. Could always slide it under the sofa when no in use.
I love her personality and work and yes her mix of cheaper, second-hand, or free items with new stuff and an occasional DIY. I do love the outcome of this remake but I wonder if she had any idea how outdated some of these styles would become and then the homeowner will be stuck again in an outdated room, granted it will be 10yrs later and there are some amazing pieces in there that won't age by themselves !!
Sarah and Tommy are such a great team. Loved most of what they did, except for the drapes the dinning table and did think the chaste lounge wasn't a very good idea as it isn't something that is very practical on a comfort level (but it does look nice). All in all beautifully layered.
Coordination is sensational.. but does a 'contemporary, fresh and fun' floral have to be tropical? Would that electric pink sofa be attractive in 2 years?
Well said. I will get bored with that room within 6 months....too girly and not elegant although Sarah has a good taste when she mix and match her textures.
Interesting. I usually like Sarah's designs, mostly. This one is great for color and cheerfulness (except the drapes - ack!) but it seems way over-furnished for such a small space, especially since they said it was "cluttered" initially. It also seems like a very expensive design that won't stand the test of time. But it's beautiful!
I loved watching your show on TV. Really wish you would come back you both are so awesome. Thank you
Maybe one of my favorite Sarah makeovers ever.
Sarah & Tommy make my day with their talent!!!
Sarah 101 was a favourite series of mine.

My absolutely positively most emphatically favorite redo!!!!!! Sarah and Tommy you raise the joy on this planet and thank you!
Such a happy transformation!
I love this, PINK AND GREEN are my fav.
Love how you combine colors to make the place look BEAUTIFUL❤️💕

Clients seem very happy with overall refit, but it seems a little too feminine for a family home...would like to have seen more masculine aspects to balance all that pink...
kflies...NO rflies!
Its so great to see you using colour
I love the pink sofa and the floral chairs, so bright and happy but not overbearing, very stylish 🤩

What is the name of the fabric used on the living room chairs? I love it and I just can't find it--thanks!
Sarah is so talented and has such excellent taste. Love this room, love everything she does. Tommy is a joy. My dream designer.

I still get ideas from this room years later.
I live for color, so I had to watch this. I love the result.
These colors are giving me life! What a happy, elegant room. You’ve outdone yourselves.
so pretty and colorful- one of my favs
It doesn't look like the same room, which was the goal if course. In this case it all went from sad to happy, and still reflected the character of the house. It's just perfect!
Wow, Sarah doing...COLOR??? WOW, what a beautiful result, love it!
I don't have words for how much I love this room update. 🤩 I'm all about those bright colors. It's so refreshing!
So beautiful! I love all your work, Sarah and Tommy! Could watch y’all all day! ~Cassandra Senter
Beautiful, and I have missed Tommy from the old days!
This is so very gorgeous! It's so nice to see color!
Wowza! Another exciting room.
Unbelievably superb. Makes my heart happy.
Sue here: I always love Sarah design!!!!!This is fun and fresh and do so happy 😊 - and ... it's classic Sarah. 🧡💚

It's beautiful and very welcoming. Takes out all the stress when you walk in the living room.
I love each piece individually, it’s just so much all together. Some people thrive with bright colors. Just not me
I remember watching this episode on HGTV years ago and I still love it. Pinned for my reno ideas! Love Sarah’s designs!!
What an extraordinary cheerful and lovely room!! Enjoy Sarah & company before gray became a fade color.
I love this! The room seems bigger. The colors and patterns are so interesting and cheerful. I like the use of vintage pieceS and the plate wall is perfect.
I love the magenta and green contrast, looks amazing! 🤩😍
This is fabulous!
I think this is from her show years and years ago. Loved it then too.
This room is gorgeous! But as a dog owner, I winced at the cream colored day bed. The beauty (that ottoman!) and cheerful quality of the new space is night and day difference with the old space.
I remember this room. It's beautiful. Much like Spring strolling into Summer on an early Summer morning.
I've always loved this transformation. The room is beautiful.

Ah! Home again with Sarah. These type of redos are the best. Sarah has such a way with pattern, shape, and color. Love this.
Simply loved the wonderful colourful choice of fabrics and making the room so bright n happy.
Beautiful. One of my favourites so far.

The room seems too feminine and precious. I can't see the husband being comfortable inviting the guys over for beer and poker.
@@Gitn2it The husband himself said he loves it and it makes him happy. Not every husband is into beer and poker.
Perfection! Every Decision for every detail from furniture to lighting to paint colors, and Every Choice for placement and display!
Love the transformation! The jumping off fabric is wonderful! I love it!
Beautiful!
I want Sarah to design my home. I adore her work. These rooms are my colors so she had me at hello.
I love this.
This room is so beautiful! I love all the elements and color scheme! You once again worked your magic and inspired me.
Absolutely gorgeous
Haven’t seen you in a long time! So happy to come across video.
Such a beautiful room! When I first saw that large floral I wasn’t crazy about it but it looks fabulous on the chairs and I want that sofa!
Fun! love the dining chairs, side chairs and plate wall!!
Fabulous result! ❤

Love it! Great colours!
the table at 18:22 is gorgeous, great color choices all around
This specific segment is what I used to plagiarize in my living space. The jumping off floral!!!!
This is fantastic. One of my favorites!
Just gorgeous.

Love love love the room. ❤️❤️❤️

Will you and Tommy please come make over my house? I live in North Carolina.
