Permatex Right Stuff. Stuff is wicked.
It is! It works well. I like using ultra black because it is sold in a pressurized tube by my parts store. Just pull the trigger and it comes out. Easy.
If you haven’t tried them, we have been using “Lube Locker” gaskets that you can reuse on both our Jeeps since 2019 on our armour diff covers and we have never had any leaks from them.
Worth trying out. No more scrapping off old gasket or silicone.
Yea! They work well. Problem is they don’t make them for shaved diffs. Plus I have the Ultra Black RTV sitting around. I personally also don’t “scrape” it off. I use a stripping disc on my grinder and it makes super short work of it.
That is an amazing tip. Thanks man! Really appreciate it.
Hope it helps! Thanks for the support!
For diff covers have to go with Lublocker. Love them as can change fluid and check gears so much easier!
Yea. BUT….they don’t make them for shaved axles. So it’s a no go for people that have shaved their front or rear axle. I’m kid they are way more expensive than the RTV. But they are easier. That for sure.
@WarPaintOffroad true on shaved but just released dynatrac 44 and 60 gasket...just ordered one for each build!
@WarPaintOffroad hell I'd get a 14 bolt lubelocker then cut down the bottom and permatex that....save all the cleaning on rest of housing/ cover
