It's not illegal, and would likely be considered discrimination if they did. Background checks help, but just that information alone isn't enough to determine if someone can be trusted or not.
Having staff like that on your workforce itself isn't illegal per say, as long as they don't offend while on the job. However having them in roles where they are interacting with children is highly unethical. If the company knew about their desires and still placed them in those roles then they could potentially be charged with negligence or child endangerment

Most of it occurred off-platform (on Discord), so even if I WANTED to do anything, they'd just claim the BS that they did in the Twitter DMs. Roblox is seriously a sickening and detrimental place, and this video proves it. I was harassed in a group chat with 5 people in it all blaming me and telling me it was my fault that I got groomed and that if I spoke out they'd put me in jail. Roblox will never do anything to help me. I can't overstate how dangerous it really truly is; And paired with a management team like that, I, and so many other children, will never get justice.

One of the main problems with him being sued like this is that it sets a precedent for other companies to do the same thing to content creators for their games. If Roblox hadn't dropped the lawsuit, it's very likely that gaming content as a whole would've changed on UA-cam, most likely for the worse.

I just realized this: SEGA went out of their way to create a (better) Roblox game with GameFam that shares a very similar name with Sonic Simulator to regain some of the profile that the game created by a child diddler indirectly stained, just so that they could take that game down, adopt it's name and pretend everything's alright. As someone who was pretty active in a Roblox group a few years ago and still am friends with a few people that are active in side community, it's pretty horrendous what goes on in Roblox discord servers, from owners asking girls of all ages(mostly 13 to 20) for nudes and other things of that nature in exchange for a higher ranking role in the group, pure racism not even just "memes or jokes" just people full on hating poc,homophobia and transphobia (again same as before), doxing,threatening, gore, c.p and much more. Roblox really doesn't do shit to keep it's users safe as most of the activitys are outside of Roblox. Also there is a MASSIVE issue in the roblox community when it comes to exploitation of work, I know a few people that have made amazing map/models/asset/scripts and never once got paid by group owners + roblox takes 70% of revenues from games

I don't know why I love this platform so much when at it's core, it's just a silly Lego clone. Not really related, but I remember playing Phantom Forces a while back (Roblox game, obv) and we kicked someone for being a general degenerate, but then they came back on an account with 1 letter changed and accused me of saying the Nword, so I got insta-kicked. Just joined a different server, but still makes me seethe.
The worst part about this whole thing, is that recently a dev got IP banned, hardware banned, got banned from accessing anything to do with developing games. For completely fake DIscord screenshots of "him" saying the Nword, Roblox does not care. And never has.

I just realized this: SEGA went out of their way to create a (better) Roblox game with GameFam that shares a very similar name with Sonic Simulator to regain some of the profile that the game created by a child diddler indirectly stained, just so that they could take that game down, adopt it's name and pretend everything's alright. This is the actual best possible thing they could've done without directly getting mixed up in Roblox and the whole mess.

Honestly I’m enjoying PyroLive way more then I thought- Pyro is legitimately really funny and charming, and while I enjoy his main channel I just don’t got time for a 4 hour video on a show I’ve never seen- so I’m glad he’s decided to split channels by posting normal videos he used to make like in 2020 and livestreams, and then do his bigger projects and stuff he feels proud of on the main channel- which I’ve seen a couple of other UA-camrs do, it’s a great idea!

This lawsuit was a farce. Other than keeping him from making new roblox vids it was launched with the intention of financially draining Ruben as well. They never intended with winning nor losing. Just making Ruben come to an agreement.
I really love that he weaponized UA-cam to get them to back off. All he did was make these facts public and known, and immediately they dropped the suit.
I think that's a great thing, that people are using a video platform to avoid being bulldozed by a huge corporation when he didn't deserve it.

As someone who was pretty active in a Roblox group a few years ago and still am friends with a few people that are active in side community, it's pretty horrendous what goes on in Roblox discord servers, from owners asking girls of all ages(mostly 13 to 20) for nudes and other things of that nature in exchange for a higher ranking role in the group, pure racism not even just "memes or jokes" just people full on hating poc,homophobia and transphobia (again same as before), doxing,threatening, gore, c.p and much more. Roblox really doesn't do shit to keep it's users safe as most of the activitys are outside of Roblox. Also there is a MASSIVE issue in the roblox community when it comes to exploitation of work, I know a few people that have made amazing map/models/asset/scripts and never once got paid by group owners + roblox takes 70% of revenues from games

I've been around in the Roblox community for more than a decade now... I know that sounds crazy, and it is. I don't know why I love this platform so much when at it's core, it's just a silly Lego clone. I often contemplate if I should just abandon the platform or stay with it when it inevitably plummets into the ground, because that's what will happen to Roblox if they continue down this path of greed and ignorance. This game has sixteen years of history and it could all be over in an instant. I know that a majority of people could care less, and I get that. But it means a lot to me and so many other people.
I'm the same way; I've known roblox for 10 years now. The site has a few interesting subcultures and games on there that deserve some more attention.
