- Mike Leach sat down with Brandon Walker to talk about everything. Ranging from Mississippi State Football to gas station food, Leach gives his opinion on the college football playoffs, pizza, and his speed versus other SEC coaches.

Mike Leach gave America over 20 years not only of high caliber Power-5 conference head coaching, but also, over 20 years of absolutely hilarious, smart, clever, fun interviews. One of the most entertaining, interesting, and unforgettable college football coaches of his era. RIP.

Such a great interview. 2 guys just shooting the ish. That interview displayed how much Mike leach wanted people to feel comfortable in their own skin. He didn't care that he was a coach at a power 5 school, he was that, but he was also just Mike and that is one of the main reasons he will be missed. The guy just made life more interesting. Tn vols fan and I will miss him dearly

As a SEC fan and Florida Gators my team I was so excited to hear that Mike Leach was coming over to coach in our conference for I knew he was going to bring excitement which he did. I am so sad we’re not going to have him anymore. God Bless you Mike, you’ll be missed by us all!

When Mike Leach took the Texas Tech job I was amazed with his offense. After a short while I was amazed by his persona. I tried to watch every Tech game while he was there. When Tech fired him, I never watched another Tech game.
I kept up with him while he was at Washington State and wasn't surprised at all at his success there. I have really enjoyed watching Mississippi State's progress since Mike took the program. He will be missed by thousands of football fans like myself.

Texas Tech firing Mike Leach is probably the dumbest Coaching firing ever.
He once had them at number 2 in the nation. And with Texas sucking for a decade, and there was that window between Landry Jones and Baker Mayfield where OU wasn't that good, if Mike was still at Tech they probably win a Big 12 Championship.
Tech was shit before Leach got there, and they've been shit ever since he left.
Same goes for Kansas and them firing Mark Mangino.

@@cameronbadillo6507 I have a theory on that. Right after that debacle Craig James was being floated as a Senate candidate. After Leach beat Mack Brown when UT was number 1 in the nation the after game handshake was tense...on Mack Brown's part. In Texas, Texas Tech has been told what it's place is and Leach didn't comply. I think it was sabotage by the blue bloods at UT and in the political hierarchy in Texas that created that whole situation. Leach bucked the status quo and it pissed them off. I just moved from Lubbock and it is a shady ass town that would participate in something like that. They're the most self-destructive people I've ever been around. Lubbock is fucking toxic. They also railroaded Bobby Knight with abject jealousy on the part of the Lubbock idiots. Lubbock is hideous inside and out.

I’m a life long Longhorn fan. Coach Leach was the most interesting and brilliant coach I’ve ever seen. I really wished Texas would have hired him. He was able to compete and beat many teams that had better talent. His whimsical approach and advice has always been inspiring to me. I will miss him.
rest in peace to a beautiful soul and a great football mind. he’s part of what inspired me to become a coach one day.

Not a Mississippi State fan but I definitely am a Mike Leach fan and as long as he's at Mississippi State, I'll pull for them. I will say out of all the SEC teams they're one of the more tolerable aside from the annoying cow bells. Leach is a national treasure, could listen to him all day. Lol
