Agree with life is not a straight line and we need to make the best decisions we can in the moment! Thank you for sharing!! We moved several times in the US and I've often thought what if... but that's not helpful. Thanks for the awesome video and have a great trip!!
Hahaha Lisa! Sorry about my rogue stitch markers everywhere 🤣 I loved the socks you are knitting and also that staffin looks amazing!! Thanks for the wonderful video ❤
Thank you so much for sharing the decisions that led you to go to and stay in Spain. I would enjoy hearing about culture shocks and perspectives as a Canadian in Spain. I live in Vancouver, and yes, Canada has gotten super expensive. Even worse here than TO.
Hi from England. Lovely to hear from you. I have followed you since you lived in Canada loving your sewing videos. I have commented before, we also lived for 10 years in south west Spain, near the Portuguese border. I haven't been watching your videos lately as I wasn't interested in knitting but I am slowly going back to knitting or should I say I am knitting and sewing..I will resume watching you vlogs.
Really interesting Lisa! We moved from Canada (GTA) to Minnesota in 2019. Our kids were launched, but barely. I agree with everything you have said…I miss my family and friends from home but we have a really great lifestyle here. The kids will do what they do…we have one in California, one in New York, one in Ontario…no one is close! We also have 4 parents in their 80s which makes me feel a bit guilty about moving so far when they are starting to address health issues. Not sure if this will be our forever home once we retire…we “came for 5 years” but that has now passed…
Happy to see a video today. I’ve been wondering about you. Glad to hear you are happy and thriving in Spain! Did you get any of storms. Sorry my geography isn’t that well anymore in my old age!😂Tough autumn here. My husband passed away in October from prostate cancer. Of the 40 yrs we had together he had cancer for 20 years. I took care of him at home until the last 48 hours. Looking forward to your next vlog. Maybe next year if you have time could you do some sort of vlogmas?❤
Oh, Connie, I’m so sorry to hear that. What a terrible loss for you- and how amazing that you were able to care for him for so long. Sending love. We did get storms, but not like in Valencia and other parts. There weren’t any injuries, as far as I know.
Sometimes I wish I could get my sweater quantity's with a 20g mini skein, the Just Incase skein for when we need a little bit more of the same dye lot. Otherwise make in Incase Skein Blanket, hats, shawls, socks, whatever; once we've worn them a while and decide if we like them or not, if not, make those changes.
Hi Lisa did you cut out the part about how you ended up moving to Spain? I swear I started to watch yesterday but when I went back to watch today it all seems gone?

The what ifs are hard to avoid- but always best to look forward, right?❤️
So very happy that you are in a place that makes you happy and has been good for your family. That is a huge blessing.
It really is!
This was a really fun video. I smiled when you talked about how well your life snapped into place. Nice to hear a happy story. Love your makes!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous knits! Really enjoy your channel! Looking forward to having a sneak peak into your travels to Stockholm!
Thanks so much! I got some beautiful footage of yarn shops here.
Obsessed with that Drevo sweater! I'm imagining it in a rich, intense navy blue for myself
Oooo, yeeeeesssss. That would be stunning.

Yes, I’ve heard BC is crazy, too! My jaw was on the floor walking around the grocery stores in Toronto. Insane.
That Sweater is gorgeous!
Thank you !

We just never know what the future will bring, right? We just have to make the best choices we can. Glad that you are happy where you have settled.

That would be amazing, wouldn’t it? A knitter’s dream!
I always knit two socks at the same time on two loops in parallel (learned from UA-cam) and never looked nad
That’s a great way to do it.
That Drevo is beautiful , how many 50gr and yardage did you use ? 😊
@@fionasteinbrecht60 I used 500gm of DK yarn, 233m per skein.

Yes, I did. Long story…
@Lisamakes LOL okay, as long as I'm not going crazy 🤣
👍🏽
Why such reclaimed yarn?
@@andreabush1742 I enjoy using both new and reclaimed yarns. Both are fun to work with.
