I really enjoy these extreme beauty features Vogue does (or did?). I'm personally not super drawn to "extreme" glamour, especially horror/gore themed, but after watching a few of these it's been really beautiful to see how relatable each of them are. I hate that I often expect these people to be incredibly strange and uncomfortable to watch, but I have found each one so endearing--far more so than most of the celebrities doing their conventional beauty routines.
Thank you Vogue for highlighting unconventional beauty, and allowing me to shift my perception of these beautiful people!

I think her lips prosthetics are a better solution than lips filler : same results but cheaper with reversible effects.
This is what it means to wear makeup for yourself. I love these "extreme" makeups. Although I wouldn't call it that - just make up.
Wear what you like, but at some point you have to see if you actually like the makeup or are following the trend (big eyebrows and drawn on lips now). Thank you Princess Gollum for being true to you and to us ♥

Archaeologist here. Women in the Middle Ages didn't shave their hairlines for religious reasons. It was made popular by QE1 as beauty fashion, because it opened up tge face (alongside plucking eyebrows).
In Catholicism a woman was to grow her hair long, but cover it up in public. Over time you see the head coverings slowly keeping back and back (fashion vs religion).
QE also had hairloss due to illness and poisonous cosmetics so she took to wearing wigs. It was then even easier to shave back the hairline and still have plenty of hair.
