This is a superb upload , i have been missing Lisa and Josh and i am so glad to be updated that they well , healthy and spreading joy to everyone they meet , they are indeed a true inspiration together with the Dynamic Duo
So glad you went to Glacier Bay. I kayaked there on an expedition a few years ago and seeing it again made me smile. Keep up the amazing work. Your channel is my favourite ❤
Im a millennial…. And I loveeeeeee cruising! I’ve been cruising since I turned 21 in 2005 - it was my College graduation present to myself. I’m about to turn 40 in a couple weeks, and I’ll be going on my 26th cruise in November. Cruising is life for me. If I could I would do a World Voyage cruise (100+ nights onboard and circumnavigating the world). Cruising can be as relaxed or as active as you want it to be. I’ve met so many wonderful friends throughout the years - both other guests onboard as well as crew. I hope you will give cruising another trip - perhaps an European/Mediterranean cruise or Baltic or Australia or even a River cruise (though that’s different than ocean cruising). Try a different cruise line - like Virgin Voyages or Carnival or Royal. Itinerary & length of the cruise will have a big impact on the demographics of the guests. Alaska & 8+ day cruises attract an older crowd.
I think the piece I appreciate most about this channel is your "deep talk", Josh, as you provide insights you've learned from whatever particular adventure you're on. I love hearing your thoughts, feelings, ideas and conclusions. It helps put the entire video/adventure into perspective. Thanks! And keep up the great work! I love traveling with y'all. 🙂
Loved the video! I totally agree. There’s a place for cruising as a way to vacation. It’s not going to be the same as exploring a city on foot or on your own but it gives you a flavor of each port city and overall, it gives you the opportunity to embrace slowing down. I also love it for multigenerational traveling! Grandparents and their kids and grandkids. Love that. Something for everyone. Good job with the video!
Finally finding and getting recommended this video after seven months! Its amazing to relive the memories through your video. I can barley make it out but I'm pretty sure I'm in the hot tub at 7:57 Was really great meeting you guys on the cruise, certainly had some fun hot tubbing! Safe travels friends!
we didn't think it was our style either, and honestly, when we got off the boat we were like "ehhhh, maybe we won't do this again." but now, we'd be super excited to get back on a cruise ship. so weird how that works :) also cinnamon toast crunch is a total S-tier cereal
I love this video specifically from all your other videos. I'm a millennial and I love cruising! I boarded the Norwegian Encore and I had a blast seeing nature in Alaska (glaciers and going to Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau!!!). Also loved go-kart racing on the ship as well. Love Hawaii as well! Only island I have not been to is Maui. But anyway, I enjoyed this video so much. It brought so many memories!
As a retired person who has cruised over 40 times it was interesting to see your reaction to your first cruise. We have taken 3 trans Atlantic cruises home from Europe. It is a great way to relax after very busy travel schedule.
Our first cruise was 16 days and ended in Hawaii too. We went through many of the same experiences I would say. If you can stretch it, I always recommend a balcony cabin, especially in Alaska.
Love your vids guys I know for a fact you'll blow up soon much love to you both I hope you guys live a happy life together and I hope you raise some great children never give up you dreams and most of all on each other😄❤️
It's so wild to think all those beautiful amazing ridges down the Maui mountains are lava flows cooled and now covered in greenery / foliage. It's so obvious from the vantage point of out at sea. 😲🤔😊👍
I'm leaving on a cruise Sun to Fri just to relax a few days to unplug. On NCL for the 2nd time. I ended up becoming Facebook friends with some crew on my past cruises. They really become family. I just booked my 2nd Alaska cruise for next fall. I've taken my millennial kids on several cruises. Last June I did a Baltic cruise and still want to go to Norway. Loved your other series to Longyearbyen Norway.
Hey Lisa and Josh just subscribed to your channel to see all the amazing places you have been to and your videos are so amazing to watch you two are amazing people and can't wait to see more adventure videos from you wish both of you the best of luck
My husband and I have been to Alaska twice (on NCL). After we were leaving Alaska’s last port in September I asked when are we returning!! Definitely, Icy Strait (Hoonah) is my favorite. We hired a fishing tour and caught halibut, which is the best fish EVER. Of course I caught the first fish and the biggest halibut!! Incredible video guys which brought back so many memories. I’ve never been to Hawaii!
Oh gosh, the captions drawn to you both made us laugh multiple times! We used to cruise a lot, and they're a great way to relax, but give me jiggly cheesecake in a back alley way instead. 😉😂
I’ve been watching your adventures since you were in Thailand and I live in Ketchikan… I’m so sad I didn’t know you were here! I would’ve totally played tour guide, given suggestions, or bought you a beer. I swear Ketchikan is much more than jewelry stores! Looking forward to your next adventure…
This was such a fun video! I'm so glad you enjoyed Alaska! Lisa, I've lived here nearly 18 years, and I still tear up looking at this beautiful state I call home.
Ok, so in Ketchikan you missed the Totem Pole park. You can see the native Alaskans carving the latest totem pole and hear about the process and the reason for each segment. Last time I was there they were working on a memorial totem to a photographer whose life was taken by a grizzly bear. Then, you missed the raptor center. Injured Raptors from all over are flown free on Alaskan airlines to the raptor center for rehabilitation. It’s amazing to see the bald eagles, falcons, hawks, etc recovering and seeing how it is done. All was walkable from the ship. You need to do your research. You missed a lot already. Most whale tours guarantee whale sightings as well.
Also you missed the tram and the totem pole carvers in Juneau and Mendenhall glacier. I encourage you not to judge a location when you haven't explored it. That is true of cruises just like other types of travel, as you well know.
You really have us considering taking a cruise as a positioning tactic. Maybe to or from Europe? 🧐 Really well don't video, guys! Super helpful for us fellow millennials who thought we'd never be cruise people. 😅
@Lisa and Josh well the post is one thing. I have enough video stuff to go 2 months without repeating anything. What's actually going on behind the scenes 😳. Yeah, let's just say I have to go to the American Embassy tomorrow.
Good video. Is this cruise was in September, after summer and much of the ice and snow had melted? What percent of the staff was Filipino? What other countries and percentages? Did you meet any interesting passengers on the cruise?
I'm sorry, but I don't agree. We are doing 2-3 cruises per year and you guys just did it wrong. We always have a plan for all ports and most of the time we do it individually. We pre-book a local tour, a car or we use puplic transportation. But to make the most out of it you need a good plan.
no need to apologize for disagreeing--sounds like a good way to do it. we definitely are more of the go with the flow kind of travelers, so can see how that didn't work out the way we thought
You made my day at 21:50 - no sugar banana cream cake!!!!!!! Can I have a whole one? I enjoyed my cruise from Hawaii to Vancouver. The train ride from Vancouver to Toronto with stops along the way. Haven't worked out where to from Quebec...Ireland? Love that website you mentioned for cruises. Found a 7 night cruise out of Venice in May. Looking forward to that. Fair skies and warmish weather guys.
Wrong. Millennials are definitely the target market for cruises. You went on one of NCL's oldest and arguably worst ships, which was why you found a good price. The ship is small by today's standards, having been built back in the 1990s. It's old, outdated, and notoriously lacks activities, technology, entertainment, specialty dining, and modern facilities found on new cruise ships. You also went on a long repositioning cruise that notoriously attracts older clientele. If you had chosen a port-intensive mediterranean cruise on the Celebrity Edge or the Celebrity Beyond, or a week-long Caribbean cruise on the NCL Prima or Wonder of the Seas, you would have a completely different idea of cruising. Not everyone goes on cruises to relax, and more cruise lines than not target millennials these days. Worth noting, many of the new ships by Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Virgin have even been said to completely alienate the older, more traditional cruisers of the past. I suggest you give cruising another try, but you need to do your research if you're going to make such blanket statements as, "cruising isn't for millennials." You picked the wrong cruise.

Love embracing things we may not like but trying them anyway. The Universe always finds ways to surprise us when we're open to it.
Love this sentiment!

Lots of Filipinos working in cruise ship. Mabuhay mga Kababayan
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Wow!! Loved the entire video. I appreciate you two so very much. Seeing and experiencing that which I prob never will. So, huge thanks!!!!!

It was a great video✨
It's nice to celebrate with you all😊

Thanks for coming along!
Cinnamon Toast Crunch is the BEST. Ive been on one cruise before and I don’t think it suits my style but your national park day was beautiful!
we didn't think it was our style either, and honestly, when we got off the boat we were like "ehhhh, maybe we won't do this again." but now, we'd be super excited to get back on a cruise ship. so weird how that works :)

Wow! Go karts on a cruise ship!? So cool! Had no idea that existed. Thanks for watching :)
You guys did an amazing job putting this video together!!
As a retired person who has cruised over 40 times it was interesting to see your reaction to your first cruise. We have taken 3 trans Atlantic cruises home from Europe. It is a great way to relax after very busy travel schedule.
It's best to do excursions at the tourist ports to get you out of the city.
What a great video, you are both very lucky to be having this adventure
We feel so so lucky!
@@LisaAndJosh love all your Adventure that must be really great to get to do it
Our first cruise was 16 days and ended in Hawaii too. We went through many of the same experiences I would say. If you can stretch it, I always recommend a balcony cabin, especially in Alaska.
Wow! Yes, we definitely would’ve loved the balcony especially on rough sea days!
Love your vids guys I know for a fact you'll blow up soon much love to you both I hope you guys live a happy life together and I hope you raise some great children never give up you dreams and most of all on each other😄❤️
Aww thanks for the kind words 🥰❤️
I really loved your cruise vlogs and all your experiences! I wish you guys would stay in Hawaii for abit and vlog, it feels like you’re home there ❤
Definitely home 🥰

How fun!! Yes, we are excited to try more cruises in the future. So many fun places to visit with family and friends. Thanks for coming along
We did a 25 day repositioning cruise (LA to Sydney) and I would get up at 4am to get 2 hours of usable internet
Woah! Was the speed much faster then?

So sad what recently happened in Maui😭 how lucky you both were to have visited such a wonderful and historic location.
Loves ya'll content Wish at your age I would of been smart enough to just travel!!!
:) hope you still get to travel!
I love your video. I'm curious what cruise ship you were on and what season did you go? It seemed vary rainy/cloudy in Alaska.

I never do the tours from the ship……easily can do on own .

Where did you find the cheap cruise? I remember you talking about it but can't find the website.
Ask the crew if you want to know where to find free or almost free WiFi in ports.
great tip! we saw almost all of them at the same spots at port and would join them in our internet binges :)
What time of year was this?
They have laundry rooms on the cruise
Kamusta :)

There’s no food there
You are on a ship NOT a boat.
