Our Egyptian girl, how proud I am of her. I saw many Egyptian female pilots today and this really encouraged me. I wish her success and progress. I think she will be a great pilot in the future . 🥺♥️🇪🇬🇪🇬
inshallah you will be a flying girl one day :)
I thought she's white, and i was like "wow, another mualaf sister."
back home in egypt, her ceiling would be sitting at home raising kids..
@@DunyaLideri-lj3ly Not really. Egypt is not Afghanistan. Most muslim countries have no problem with women having profession.
@@DunyaLideri-lj3ly and what would be wrong with that? you know, somebody has to raise smart kids so they can achieve all that. Spending time with children is the best investment that can be done on the surface of this world. And you should be ashamed of yourself for thinking so low of the most important job that will ever exist.
"The plane feels so much lighter". Haha Congratulations! I remember my first solo well. I was singing "I'm flying the plane by myself". lol Now I'm a Captain at Southwest Airlines and still having a blast. PS...I still talk out loud to myself in certain circumstances. It helps. Congrats once again. Welcome to the friendly skies. :)
I thought she was gonna say something like "It is much lighter without you, Ibrahim".
I want to be a commercial airplane ✈️ pilot badly😂 can I be while I am 35 years old and where I can start? I am in Virginia state
@@raqad4642 I would start out with finding a local flight school. Start out with a discovery flight and see how you match with the instructor. Instructor selection is very important. Then start taking your lessons. Many schools used to have an agreement to hire you as an instructor at the school if you do all of your training with them. Fly 2-3 times a week if possible. It’s saves you money as you don’t spend a lot of time relearning things you may have forgotten. Good luck in your endeavors. 35 is not too old to start. If you get hired by the time you’re 40, you’ll have 25 years until retirement! Now get out there and start flying! You won’t regret it.😎👍
My first solo. I took off and I was like… I never heard those noises before, lol
Hi
I have no idea who you are or anything, but I am very proud of you. I just found your name. Roula, keep up the great work, you are making a difference for everyone in the world.
I love the way she talks to herself. I do the same thing in stressful situations and it really helps. Great job!
Pilots are taught to do this. It reinforces the checklist mentality that keeps people alive. You'd be surprised what you skip when you only say it in your head.
Good point. I've been flying for a long time and I still sometimes say (out loud) to pitch for airspeed
and power for altitude when I'm on final approach. Not only is it important to know, it's also important
to be reinforced.
@@doug1320 I added "landing checks complete" on final approach. That forces me to double check everything on the way down, and configure if I forgot something like lights.
aren't they supposed to do this always? Stop being impressed by everything.

Shout to the great staff that prepared her to be successful. Great instructors produce great students. Congrats to Roula for overcoming her feats and showing everyone the professional that she is. Nice work!
Thanks for the kind words Ed 🛩
I couldn't agree any better. Sling Pilot Academy is definitely the place to go for piloting training!
She training to crash planes into US buildings in the name of Isla?
I’m an Egyptian designer but I stumbled across this video and I’m impressed and really proud😍❤️❤️the prayers “InshAllah” “bism Allah” ❤️

So proud of our sister , great job to the academy as well 🎉🎉
Oh, you think it is a miracle? Lol
So proud of her.
The guys on the ground looks more nervous than Roula does😄
Soft beautiful landing! I'll show my daughter this for inspiration, she really loves flying.
The first time driving a car alone is scary, I can only imagine how this feels
Great. We need more female pilots in the air for so many reasons, but not least because women are really great communicators and communication is so important when piloting a plane. 🙏🏼

I was nervous to look at the comments. I am pleased that the professionalism of fellow aviators was maintained. This was a great video to watch!
She did wonderful. It's always exciting to see a newly trained person flying solo for the first time.
Wow! Congratulations 🎉
I remember my first solo (many years ago!) Absolutely loved it!
as a woman, this is so inspiring to see. also can we take a moment to thank the men on ground? they were so supportive. she looked so confident with that needed support 🤍
We are glad to see Roula inspiring other women!! Thanks for your kind words ❤🛩
Congratulations on your first SOLO! The journey of continuous learning has started.
why is it that of a female does something so ordinary that has been done by men for centuries it becomes such a big deal? Lets treat everyone as equal not make a BIG DEAL when a female flies a plane
It’s a celebration of progress and it would encourage more women to get into the industry when they see more role models. Not everything is so serious! I’ve seen your comments all over the video it seems like you are looking for a reason to be mad at the world.

That is a very good point. After I got my private pilot's license, the examiner said to me
that this is my license to learn. That's so true because 30 years later I'm still
flying and learning. It's just that I'm flying a much faster airplane!

MashaAllah! Good job sister 👍 Congratulations on your first solo flight, 🛫, best wishes from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Congratulations Roula. You did a great job. What smooth landings MashAllah. The first solo flight is so important to motivate you for the upcoming flights. I still remember my first solo and how stressful it was but Alhumdulillah it was good. Keep going and I hope the best for you.
So much fun watching her solo! I remember my first solo in a 1959 Cessna 172 in 1964. A high five to the instructor.
My first solo student as a Flight Instructor crashed a Piper Colt after I got out, removing 225 lbs from the aircraft and reminding her what changes she would notice with only her in the plane; she landed 50 feet short of the runway and flipped the aircraft over on its back. Zero wind day early morning, no thermals, sun to her back, and had 15 hours in her log book and performed 4 perfect landings before I let her go. Her skills were good; she was rested and emotionally ready. The field was a grass strip 3,000 feet long with no trees or wires. She was 20 years old, mature, not injured, and had crawled out of the plane by the time I had run to help. I still wonder what I missed or could have done to make her more ready? The handheld radio for the instruction on the ground would have been helpful.
Some things get better, and some things get worse. There are way too many accidents caused by pilot errors. In general, women seem safer due to not taking chances, whereas Alpha men are more confident and take more risks. Their first year of flying may be the safest after they get their license. I have seen IFR Flight Instructors with a student teaching in IFR conditions, and after they landed, I spotted all the static vents plugged up with wax when the plane had been washed and waxed. Bad preflight can kill you. A flight aways begins before you leave home, even two or three days before you must ensure you are physically and mentally ready to fly.
This was very helpful thank you for sharing💕 do you have any advice for an 18 year old aspiring pilot??
Congratulations Roula. Never forget my first 3 solo landings, 2 touch and go and 3rd full stop. I remember I was shaking until I parked the plane and performed the final check shutting down the engine. Several people stopped by to congratulate me during debriefing.
The baby bird leaves the nest, so beautiful. Imagine how much flight training nature embedds into baby birds to just drop and start flying..
Congratulations Roula! My first solo was 38 years ago, but I remember every second of it to this day. All the best with your aviation career.
(Right hand pattern too - I always found those tougher than left hand circuits.)

Congrats Roula !
Amazing and inspirational job
Roula, Awesome job, congrats on the solo, you nailed it, love your personality!!! your hard work has paid off. !!!!!!
I remember my first solo. Without the additional weight of my instructor, I was shocked by how the aircraft "popped" up into the sky. It caught me unawares, totally. The freaky part was that my instructor didn't tell me I would be soloing. After some circuits, we taxiied to close to the parking area and he literally just jumped out, buckled the passenger harness and yelled "Good Luck!"
Of course, I talked to myself throughout the whole circuit.
The landing was great and ATC congratulated me on my first solo. I was stoked.
Congratulations, Roulah. I’m so proud of you
Well done, Roula. Great flight, and a great experience that you will never forget. I did my first solo 22 years ago and still watch my instructor's video taken with my camera.
As a commercial pilot, this gal was the BEST !
We agree! What are you flying these days?
As an electrician, I agree.....
You were amazing Roula and so were your instructors! Congrats and mashallah 🎉🎉🎉
Excelent ROULA! Congratulations!
Congratulations Roula, From experience I know that a first solo is a moment you will never forget. Only problem is that you want so much more now. Leave the pattern, work towards navigation flights and finally prepare for your cross country. My first solo was at the airport of Midden-Zeeland in the Netherlands on the fifth of december. In the Netherlands a special day which you can more or less compare with Santa Claus in the USA. So I could not get a better present than a solo flight. Still remember I was not nervous at all. Only 3 touch and goes and enjoying every single second of it. Wish you good luck in the rest of your training at Sling Pilot Academy.
Well done Roula! It reminded me of my first solo from Oakland Airport some 35 years ago. My heart was beating much faster while watching this video...

I remember my first solo flight like it was yesterday, even thought it was 43 years ago. My instructor did not give me any warning that it would be solo day. We flew a couple of circuits ten he just hoped out, said to go do one circuit and come back and pick me up by the side of the runway. I did balloon just before touch down. I remember feeling more excitement than fear though both rode the flight with me. Roula, that was an amazingly great first solo take off/circuit/land experience. May there be many more great moments in your flying career.
Great job well done in her first solo flight. Must say the academy holds a collection of experts captains and thanks to them all for giving back their knowledge and experiences to the society.

Racism and misogyny in flight schools? Hmmmm. Rude and ironic statement. The Muslim religion is far worse. Unaware of zero women's rights in Iran and other Muslim countries? She couldn't even touch a plane in Iran.
