The Miz is the perfect WWE guy. When he’s a heel, you hate him. As a babyface, love him. He can nail a scripted promo or do it off the cuff. He elevates the people he works with like Knight. And put a few wins (or losses) under his sail and he can operate anywhere on the card.

@@thebasketballhistorian3291 that promo literally made me go back and watch some of his real world stuff - there’s a clip on UA-cam that’s like an Intro to the Miz. Lots of Rock impersonating 😂 but it really shows how much he loves wrestling. That 💩 made me smile, I recommend watching. MTV edits him as a face fr.

I’ll agree with what he’s saying here because it felt a little phoned in or he held back a little somehow. There are two main ways to plan a match/ promo
    1. Plan pretty much everything in advance and then just go out there and do it. This is the more common method these days because it allows for more intricate spots and segments.
    2. Just go out there and listen to the crowd and do what feels right. Like Knight said in the video it’s a little more old school but its more flexible
In my opinion I would want to do something in the middle. I would plan some stuff but be willing to change or entirely scrap it if it doesn’t fit the moment

He just talked about it the issue in this interview where he has had to recently have canned not good stuff in WWE but if he is able to be more off the cuff and raw, he can be real cool and would add to making every feud he is in feel real. Lack of realism and fake stuff is the biggest disconnect and issue with WWE and wrestling overall nowadays.

He really killed his character that night. WWE did this on purpose 😂

Miz beat him on raw when they went back and forth. But nothing will top LA Knight’s smackdown promo on miz when he paid tribute to Wyatt in his words.

I like shoots better when there’s more distance between the wrestler and the events they’re talking about. Preferably at different points it heir a career. It’s kind of like a constant reminder about how none of it matters.
