I lived directly across from Maya Mall, on a tiny little side soi behind the Furama hotel. It was a lovely location, very quiet (surprisingly) yet steps away from the Nimman area. A ten minute walk to One Nimman, a quick drive to Chiang Mai University and Thapae Gate. Yeah, there were times when Nimman road itself would be busy with cars and motorbikes and people, but you don't HAVE TO walk along the busy highway. The side sois are cute and quirky too.
Aww mate, what a honor to get the Champ of this day/episode 😍 many thanks for your hard work, i just watch it all, smash the thumbs up and comment each one 😉 and i already had a shoutout a long time ago for watchin so many off all your vids to catch up, hmmmm... dejavu i am doing it wright now hahaha, almost watched 40 episodes in 2 days i think 😉 and still going strong💪, the goal is to be on track this week whoop whoop 👊 Anyhow, Nimman, never been there, so need to get to Chiang Mai for a longer time and explore more, thanks for showing, ow and maybe you can show us your finest place one day hehehe 🙏 And as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 🙌🍻
YEW!!! Nice one Champ. I lived in Maya Mall when I was there early September. The gym's a bit expensive but great and the cinema and I go way back. I love it just for the ramp into and out of the motorbike parking basement. YEW. Get some air on the way out Champ, and Doi Sutthep is just up the mountain.
@@Chai_Travel Sure did Champ, it was good to see you exploring that area a bit. Try and break into the abandoned cinema down the road from Maya mall and explore that for us Champ. I couldn't fucking get in.
Thank you for this fascinating tour of Nlmman, certainly looks like an area I'd love to explore. I love wandering around traditional neighbourhoods but it's also worthwhile visiting somewhere completely different. Great food and coffee options there too.
Thanks Dik. I totally feel you and I have the same when it come to traditional neighborhoods. I did actually enjoy this place as well so I think I’ll be exploring a bit more soon again 😊 cheers. Greeting to Turkey 🙏🏼🏆
@@Chai_Travel I am going to take my Fuji and Phone and walk in the streets that you showed us. I love your content and the presentation. Enjoyed every second of it.
I love Nimmanhaeim! I'm also not really a shopping person - what I love is the hispter cafes, the great food (although it's not the cheapest) - Northern Thai food is the best & the cultural vibes of Thai culture mixing with expats! Its a fun little precinct to explore - esp. the little Sois off the main Rd. And the coffee OMG! 😍☕️
Hi Chai, The last time we were in Chiang Mai we went to Nimman and ate at some amazing cafes and checked out some of the malls. Have you ever been to the markets near the University? I haven't but that's on my bucket list for my next visit to Chiang Mai :)
Hi Connie, nice you’ve visited this place as well. So many things to do and to go to 🤩 I have and I really liked it. A lot of great food over there 🤤 I’m sure you’ll love it too! Thanks again 🏆
it's more of a place for young Asians.... you know.... old westerners usually stay in the east part of old town.. you know what i am talking about... young westerns mostly enjoy inside the old town....
Perfect! Yeah it does make it a lot easier to get around. The red cabs (song taos) are going everywhere within the city too. Those can be continent as well if you don’t have a motorbike
Hi Chai✋🥰 We like your videos 🥰🙂👌and we enjoy more from Thailand video👌👍 One question In your opinion, where is the best city to live in Thailand that has good energy and can live in nature and is not a crowded city?
Thanks for watching and saying hi 🤗 ow that’s a difficult one. I’d say Chiang Mai is my favorite city so far. Though it has the burning season which is a big downside. Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, and Roi et I’d recommend to check out to see if it’s suitable for you. So many cities in Thailand you never hear about but are very lively without many tourists ;)
I like the question! I’m not ready to settle down yet. But let’s say for a half a year would be nice to live in Bangkok, KL, Luang Prabang. I also love to spent more time in Hanoi and Saigon. Seam Reap is also a place where I can see myself living in for a while :) haha sorry… I can’t pick 3
Hi Chai, yes great exploring in Chiang Mai and of course it is always a lovely fact to see Ilona, her smile is hearty shiny ! Happy wishes and stay Champ you both 💕💕🙏The food was outstanding, so delicious for the eye and stomach lol!😋✌
Excellent vlog. I did a video a few months ago in that area and found the Chiang Mai university area up the road much more fun. Paid 300 BAHT for a pint of Stella in Nimman which hurt quite a bit too lol. 👍🍺🍾
@@Chai_Travel it's fine. I just got back to Bangkok just now from Chiang Mai. Loved the city so much, and Doi Inthanon National Park, incredible scenary.
Thank you for reminding me of the good times at Nimman through your video. I stayed at U-Nimman and went shopping at the Maya mall. I agree that the front of the mall has no shade to keep us cool in the heat. I'm curious to know why many malls in Thailand don't plant trees around the building, despite the fact that Thailand is a hot country. They probably don't like it if the trees block the view of the building, I believe.
Thanks! I’m glad I could take you back there this way. Good question 🤔 you might be right there. That would be the only thing that makes sense now 😅 or maybe it leave space for an event so the can put food stalls and all right there 🤓 I don’t know 🤷♂️ haha cheers mate have a good day
Goodness, like they don't have enough coffee shops, it's exceeding here in Canada, the Thais must really enjoy their coffees, and their prices, wow such varies, so is Starbucks still at the high or is there another branch? Greetings from Ontario, Chai
is there a baht bus near by or a bus to old town? If there is, how long you have to wait? Is there a train? what is the cost to Old Town? I rather now take bolt or grab, the cost adds up
There is a song tao driving past it pretty much every 10 minutes (I believe it cost 40 baht into town. The train station is 15minutes drive from the old town.
@@Chai_Travel where is it most busy, old town or Nimman? I'm single, would like to meet some ladies during the day time haha the most busy location would be good. Looking to stay long term
Great video! I was particularly interested in this one since I'll be staying in the Nimman area for 6 weeks starting in January 2023. Normally I'd like to stay in an area with less foreigners, but the location is great and I like all the restaurants and cafes. And, as an American, I especially like knowing where I can get a great burger!
Perfect! I’m glad I could help a little this way 😃 really, you won’t be disappointed at beast burgers. There are many good places but this one is really standing out. Don’t forget the garlic mayo once you get here 😊 cheers Chris 🏆
