A man can never have a shed that is too big. Big sheds just give you opportunities for more ideas. A general rule for shed construction that I learnt is think of the size you will need...then double it.
    Thanks for taking us along.

Remember to add a door to the back of the mill for waste removal. That way you can keep the good lumber to the front and the off-cuts(waste), firewood to the back. So you can work more efficiently. Only an idea. As for the work area, screen area, way to go. Sounds awesome.

Andris, you are what we in Texas call a “bear” for maintenance. Because of your influence I was motivated to change the oil in my Chinese portable generator. It was black. I realized that I had never changed it in five years. Boo! To access the drain plug requires a 10mm socket on the end of a long extension because it is way inside the housing. When the oil drains it drools down to a hole in the bottom of the housing. Stupid! After five years of production the Chinese engineers finally decided to add a flexible drain hose which extends outside the housing. Talk about “chinesium”. Thank you for the motivation and entertainment.

Nice job on the concrete prep , When we pour concrete instead of leveling screed boards, We drive pointed 2x4 stakes 2 inches below grade with nails driven in the top to form a Y then a 2 inch O.D pipe is placed on top of the stakes for a level screed, Then once we pour and level past the pipe the pipe is removed and moved to the next section and we shovel concrete into the empty space left by the removed pipe and leveled with a trowel, Then the whole pad is one continuous pour, We then saw a grove every 14 feet for a control crack, Love watching you're videos.

Ants, holy frig, you win the hardest working man award. C8- C10 concrete is not very strong for load bearing salt resistance concrete. Might be fine for the saw mill. We would use C35 or 35 Mpa. Yup, friggin expensive, $265 per CM plus tax here. Concrete plants are close by. We would spend alot more time leveling the gravels to be compacted level, form ready. Another trick, we use a 6 foot I beam on the excavator thumb for leveling gravels, saves a ton of time. Great project, look forward to seeing the finished saw and the saw mill working.

Very impressive that one person did this alone! In my basement in house I renovated one room 2 years ago. It needed 90 bags of 40kg each of ready mixed concrete. We did it with 3 people in 3 hours.
It costed 350 Euros in a local shop - and they delivered everything. I also asked some jobs how much it will cost for sand / cement to mix it at home: This would cost 600 Euros! So for me it was clear to use the ready mixed bags. I can't understand the prices - all people say that mixing by yourself is much cheaper...

Popping old dry rotted tires is more a my thing.😂 Honestly some of these old ones can last forever and others seem to consist more from soot and ash. The quality varies a lot. Good job with the T-40 maintanance. The upper cyclon needs a wash other than that it's fine. Seeing you pour concrete in the night and rain, now that is a achivement. Howdy 🤠 from the Northwoods of Minnesota.
If you put your drying shed by water that's the best natural way. Run boards on wall horizontal with bottom edge open so air get in. Durn day wood dries and at night cool damp air comes in. This allows middle of board to dry at close to same rate as outside so it doesn't crack.

I think that the sawmill base is brilliant. I cannot wait to see what you do with the rest of it. There are all those pieces that you salvaged from your old workplace, you should put them underneath the sawmill pedestals and make a conveyor belt that takes the sawdust out and dumps it in a pile at the end of The sawmill shed.
I'm sure you're going to have all kinds of improvements to The sawmill now that you have it on a perfect new base. I cannot wait to see what you do!

11:43 idea with private industrial zone is great... for dump trailer for girovitz (big semi working yelow piece of rust), you have many option. If you wana big, try find old busted semi railer with domp bed... you need only fifth wheel plate and rebuild front axle... few farmer in our area they doing that... ofcourse, front axle or so caled dolly if you buy new is over 10k€, but you build your own, but for use in trafic you must get homologation + make registration (its have its own plate, brakes and lights). For use on private land you dont need that. Second option is to buy old busted truck, cut ayay front end (eingine bay, cabin, gearbox), remove fuel tank (or use as axulery fuel/hid. oil tank), but leave air tanks. Part of chasy on cuted end, design into base to hook on tractor... ofcourse remove drive shaft, but you may needed to keep difrencial, because is part of axle (but you can do weiht reduction and remove all gears). A loot of farmers have old trucks like TAM, MB from 80', rebuild into dump railers. If you need someting stabile when dumping you try to find 6x4 with two drive axles...
Also you can find expectialy in your area clasic trailes with tree axles, and multi bed (closed, to transport general cargo and or bulk material), but those are more usefull for transport grain from field to farm, than load and unload gravel on nonleveled terain... (i was present, when that kind trailer broke main chassy onder 35t of corn ... no its not end only with broken chassy, before bed fall to ground its broke main "central" (mounted on center of bed) hydraulic cylinder... so on the end wi didnt load truck with track transporter, but with telescopic loader, who load corn from road, because korn was on entire ward...
Or maybe try to find old soviet truck with dump bed.... maybe is last option the most cheaper and "realible"....

The plastic also forms a moisture barrier so that water in the soil doesn't work it's way thought the concrete forming a slick and damp surface. Where there is no plastic will be where the saw rails will be so the sawdust will absorb any moisture as you cut the logs. Just remember to clean them up so it don't cake together.

I work on scannia marine engines in maine in the US we call them centrifuges and apparently they get carbon and other debris out of the oil. The ones I deal with have a paper ring inside the bell looking thing to make cleaning them a lot easier. The oil is still black but it definitely flows smoother out of an engine with one of those

@@grazvydaspetrovas2448 Yes. You are correct. I will try to explain the joke. 👍
I'm having fun when I said that. It is something people joke around because most of the time it cost more to build stuff the way you want it to be. Most of the time people buy things and have to pick and choose what they are willing sacrifice, buying something off the self is NOT custom built for you.

So many cool things this video!
I’ve been wanting to do some of my own concrete aswell, so thanks for respawning that idea. The only way better I can figure is to make your own mixer that is large enough to use the bobcat bucket to pour each piece of the mix in. Instead of counting shovels, you do buckets😂 I want to try it that way.
The only other thing is finding a cheaper way to get ahold of the cement itself. I’ve been going to contact the plant itself for some of that maybe.
Im super interested in the soil sifter plant!!!!
