The footnote in my bible says of the word vulture in this verse: "or eagles" Interesting! How do you handle messages like this being rejected by so many? It really gets me down when I feel the word of the Lord burning in me, regarding His judgement or correction within the body, and I speak it and it makes so many Christian people in my life so angry. People avoid me. They reject me. How do you boldly speak without questioning yourself?
Just go back to the Lord, wait upon Him, and ask for confirmation of the word. If He confirms it to you while you're in His presence, then don't backtrack. However, the only thing we may still need to backtrack on is the way in which we presented the word. Sometimes we can be tempted to share a word of the Lord or the truth of God's Word in a way that makes it nearly impossible for people to hear. Jesus did this on purpose often to the Pharisees, but He also said speak the truth in love. We need to learn to hear not just the message God is speaking but also the way in which He is presenting it. When we catch His heart, then we can know how to handle the word.
