Girl, even those of us who can afford thousand dollar nails are not spending $1000 on nails because quite frankly no pun intended it’s a waste of money. I got tired of paying 70 or 80 at the salon and taking the time to do it every couple of weeks And I’m a physician and my cuticles grow over my nailbeds literally so the only way to keep my nails looking decent is to keep some thing on them and I can’t really do acrylics because of surgery so I bought my own nail kit on Amazon and it’s been working great For me and my daughters I’ve saved so much money. I think I paid like maybe $50 for everything like including the files the UV light the drill the builder gel and I think it came with 30 or 40 polish colors and that has lasted me several months and if I want to supplement with more colors, I definitely can these long ass nails with all of this art on them. They look cool for about two seconds and that’s about it functionally they’re not going to last you any longer and in fact, probably look like shit within a day or two if you do any sort of living whatsoever, unless you are completely sedentary and waited on hand and foot these are just not gonna last so why would you spend $1000 that’s more than a lot of people pay for rent every month like I said even if a person has the money doesn’t mean you should spend it on that there’s so much better more worthwhile things that you can spend your money on that actually last as opposed to a set of nails, that’s my opinion and unfortunately, there’s a lot of people who can’t afford them or shouldn’t be spending money on them who are doing it anyways and instead of paying their bills and they are racking up credit card debt, and spending money frivolously on dumb shit like this sadly, I see it a lot in the younger generations so keep paying those bills keep affording life or barely affording life and you will get somewhere someday I promise ❤️

He works 60 plus hours at his normal job then had to take up working all wknd long side jobs to be able to buy little bits of food 😢. I work part time and haven't been Able to quirk much the last 3 months I've been hospitalized twice very sick over a week each time. 😢😢. I'm lucky to be alive right now. I'd love to have some of these fun things in life, love watching her videos she's amazingly talented, but I don't have 1000 bucks anyway if I did not to spend that crazy amount on mails sorry hun.

While I would never pay that much money for nails. They are definately worth the price. It's so intricate and artistic, that must take forever to make.

Buuuuuuut the stories we heard about how she treated her employees, direct from employees themselves… yeeeeeeah. We changed our minds REALLY quickly.

& it's so hard to find a cute folder or cute school stuff period anywhere at Walmart for my daughter. I remember when I was a kid there was like a whole folder aisle filled with cute folders of animals, rainbows, Disney, nature, sunsets, really anything. Now you go and there's like one box of folders and it's just boring solid colors like green, red, black, blue.

@ballpit_nails Don't listen to those other comments that complain about the price! At 20hrs of work that's $50 an hour to have a custom work of art and reusable nail set. That's not even including the materials. A fair rate I'd say. Artists look out for one another!

The hard part for me is that the cost of a real diamond and real gold alone would likely be $1,000, and I still have to charge for my time and expertise and an artist! These nails took hours and hours of planning and testing even before the 20 hours of painting 😅 So 1k with real diamonds and gold isn’t really realistic for me I guess! It’s always hard to decide on a price and I also personally don’t have $1,000 nail budget LOL so I understand. I appreciate your comment and I’m glad you like the nails!! 😊

Those are gorgeous, but for $1000 I would hope.for some special fx polish, like thermal, Glow in the dark or something.
They literally have a moving element and handmade charms…
For me any additional elements beyond the aqua chambers and the 3D crayons would have made it too much 😊 but all those things are cool ideas! I personally don’t really like working with thermal because the heat from your hands affects what it looks like when you wear them, it creates kind of an ugly ombre effect around the nail bed 😅 but it’s cool in videos!
$1000 over 20 hours is 50 an hour. -supplies it's like 35-40 an hour. That's a liveable wage. That's about it lmao

Def would have placed the colored pencils differently on the nails so it doesn't snag on everything and snap off. Also, for a grand the nails better have full blown famous portraits on them like the Mona Lisa, Van Gogh The Scream, Monet, the full reincarnation of the Sistine chapel ceiling, etc etc.
Nah- not 1k. I’ve seen people paint like hyper realistic art on a nail set for maybe 500-700 and that is a more intensive application of artist skill. So this? 1k? No.

Lisa Frank company is really strict about their art and sue people for copyright infringement a lot. And they sue individual artists that lightly match the aesthetic still to this year.
Hence why there isn't much fan art of their stuff.
