Im catching up on your older vids, and Im cracking up, because I was just that level of stunned with the chrome effect when I discovered it 6 mos ago when I got into nail goodies... which would have been about 4 years after your amazement in the video. I was running around the house like a loon, showing my guy, my brother in law,... the cat! Wanted everyone to oogle my chrome. Cracking me up that you were just as amazed way back when chromes were emerging at trade shows. It is a bloody marvel, that powder. Btw, best applicator I found by far.... my finger!

Hi Suzie, I have a question, have you used CND shellac before? A few clients are complaining that their shellac is coming off after a day or 2. Some clients last 3 weeks, some last 1 day. Is there anything you can suggest? Thanks!
+Nail Career Education I prepare the nail, filing, pushing the cuticles back, cleaning with the CND scrub, apply Base coat, colour and top coat. I know if you apply it too thick it can bubble but some clients are saying thst the whole shellac nail comes off in 1 piece or it chips, at first I thought it was because of the nail prep but CND say you don't need to buff the nail or apply bonder? 🤔x
i'm suspecting it's just hormonal problems maybe? gel polish or acrylic or gel just don't sit well on all customers. it's just how it is, we have different nails like we have different hairs...

I just find it quite strange that sometimes it seems to be certain colours that don't sit well, 1 customer can have a purple shellac and it would last 3 weeks with no Chipping or coming off, then they would choose a different colour and it would come off the next day or after a few days. Could it be something to do with the colours? It's very strange! X
yeah it could be the color too, i use gelish brands and some colors don,t sit well with one of my customers either and i think you're right, some colors might be choosy with nails they sit on as we have different nails or maybe it's a defective batch production of one color :D i got one who didnt dry under the lamp so i had to return it and they said it was a defective batch production as it wasnt just me who had problems with the same color. but yeah with my customer she just had to change to a different color when it happened as that isn't in our control ;) good luck
I don't fool myself into thinking I could ever do the things you do. Everything you do is spectacular! I don't even use regular nail polish on a regular basis though I always have some on hand. You're very entertaining to watch and hear.
Do you think it would work to just apply a regular top coat of your choice, let it dry fully (to prevent denting it), then rub the pigment on like in the video, then apply another top coat?

+AndriART check on eBay. They have lots of them. Just search Chrome nail powder. I just saw some for $1.59 per pot probably 3g-5g. I don't know the quality but you need black gel polish and top/base coat too. So cheap it's worth a try

Does anyone know if it's actually true if you can use the chrome/mirror nail powders with regular nail polish as long as the top coat is water based? From what I have heard you can using a water based top coat, because most other non water based top coats change the affect of the powder making it look non chrome like.
Yes, you can use it with the regular waterbased top coat. But the effect won't be as good as with the gel nail polish. The mirror effect will be weaker.

Why would anyone use a sticky gel top coat when you could just use a no wipe one? Does the sticky serve any purpose?

Debra Davis I think you can, but while top coating you'll have to use a gel top coat otherwise it'll dull out
Does anyone know if it's actually true if you can use the chrome/mirror nail powders with regular nail polish as long as the top coat is water based? From what I have heard you can using a water based top coat, because most other non water based top coats change the affect of the powder making it look non chrome like.
Yes, you can use it with the regular waterbased top coat. But the effect won't be as good as with the gel nail polish. The mirror effect will be weaker.
