Of course we all want him to stay on TV forever, but the truth is, it's best to go out on a high. He's the best sports analyst ever. No macho posturing, no phony outrage or enthusiasm, just impeccable comic timing and personal experience from having been one of the best players ever. This guy (and Inside the NBA) has kept me sane for 24 years.

Not going to act like I've watched the NBA since 1999 but I always see the clips of Charles online and he's always saying what most people think and he's not afraid to say. Doesn't always work well with certain cultures but he certainly made his mark. He's got so much money, this grind can't be worth it. Time to go live life.

This is so sad. I’ve been watching inside the NBA video clips every now and then on UA-cam ever since Kobe died. Fast forward four years later, we get this unfortunate news. Shaq and Chuck were the heart of inside.

I live in Atlanta, and I get to hang out with Charles Barkley after NBATnT goes off, chucks stays at the 4 season downtown and he would stop at my local bar to have a few drinks when they are done recording. Chuck brought Ernie Johnson with him a couple times also. Ima miss this crew ❤

Not going to act like I've watched the NBA since 1999 but I always see the clips of Charles online and he's always saying what most people think and he's not afraid to say. Doesn't always work well with certain cultures but he certainly made his mark. He's got so much money, this grind can't be worth it. Time to go live life.
