Over the next two years, I bought CDs by Marty Stewart, Travis Tritt, Mark Chestnut, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, Joe Diffey, Marty Brown, Sawyer Brown and other great country musicians that I still have to this day. I'd love to go back to that time. Life was a great adventure then. Don't ever lose that outlook

Saw him early this year at Robins Theatre in Warren, Ohio with my 90 year old aunt, 80 yr old mom, my cousin and myself. It was only his 2nd concert since Covid. He put on a 2 HR concert!!!! Totally professional and awesome!
Michael Shields: AMEN! My wife and I saw him live at a fair in Pennsylvania and although I liked his music I really didn't think he'd be as good in concert. Man was I wrong!!! That guy puts on a show like nobody's business and he's so genuine too. What you see in his videos is really the way he is in real life. It was so refreshing to see him in concert. The man is a legend in his own time... A true musician that never gave up. If you ever seen him playing with Lester Flat doing the bluegrass stuff, you would have probably laughed him off stage. Young with a high squeaky voice and strumming a mandolin. Definitely not even close to what he is today. He hung in there and wrote some of the most awesome songs that never seem to get old. One outstanding performer and a great guy!!!
He was 13 when those guys from Bill Monroe's band discovered him, 14 in the footage you're talking about. He was only a boy, and though his voice was still high it wasn't squeaky. And the other guys in the band as well as the people in the audience were pretty impressed by his musical ability, even at that tender age. Rest assured, no one was laughing, aside from you.
Oddly enough, I'm a broken hearted metal head, mourning Lemmy from Motorhead. Only the old hard core country is worth a damn when one is sad. How strange is that? My pals used to kid me about my love for country but I'm so glad it's there sometimes.

COuntrygirl..." Yep, and sadly BRC was sued over Achy Breaky Heart. I think they said it was somebody else's and he stole it??? Can't remember for sure but that's why they have to be careful how many times they played it on air back then. BRC could have gone on to really be somebody back then. He had it all...good looks, nice voice, and the man could dance you off the stage! Don't know WHAT happened to his weirdo daughter!!!
