    Actually, this is in response to moosemf, each Weezer album that has a color attributed to it are also officially known as self-titled LPs rather than their color attribution. So, it's possible that perhaps no band in history other than Baroness has actually titled an album officially after a color.

      +Aaron Kulukjian I think their current sounds is actually quite good. Not the same, for sure...but the world sorely needed a good, melodic, solid big-ass, kick -ass ROCK band that is nevertheless accessible for the current generation, and that is exactly what Baroness have become. I love Blue and Red for sure, but I was just listening to Chlorine and Wine and March to the Sea and thinking "man I´m glad we have a band like that in 2016."

    Mayhem is fucking poop. Where you need to hear Mastodon is in small venue shows. It's fantastic. One time they played "Where Strides The Behemoth". It was like a brick to the face, really. Big places are more fit for 4-chord bands like Disturbed or Slipknot with some places for 13 year olds to mosh, not progressive bands that need at least some sound suspension for all the musical hijinks.

  • @Lustrum0005
    @Lustrum0005 14 років тому

    @UnforgivingCritic one of the biggest differences between the two bands is the style of signing.. best thing to do is to simple search for yourself so that you can hear the differences for yourself. Dream Theater in my opinion is not as heavy and it's not that great a band, in other words I shit on Dream Crap any day.

  • @SiquidProductions

    @ElectricClown1 I cant admit it because i dont find them that great. I dont find dream theatre to be innovative at all, or "beautiful". What makes each part of their songs an individual amazing virtuoso to you? I can explain to you why i find the works of bach to be amazing, Without pertaining to purely "it just sounds good". I'm not calling baroness an amazing musician - but you cannot state that one is factually better if you cannot explain why they are other than "why cant you see it like me"

  • @Renicks1

    Baroness was not known to be deadly, until 8 people died. Doctors tried to revive the patients by injecting lameness directly into vein, but were unsuccessful since the awesomeness of baroness transfered to their bodies. The portion of awesomeness was well above the limit a single man can take, thus causing mental confusion such as mixing "like" and "dislike" button. This was followed by instant heart attack.

  • @deveeoos

    Progressive implies progress. Dream theater aren't actually prog. What is the point in making music which isn't new and exciting or at least doing some elements of an existing idea better than have been done before? If you just sit in a bunch of influences whose progeny have already played out every worthwhile variation, there's no musical validity. Baroness don't push boundaries but they mine a vein of music which is not yet spent. The bands just before them, were progressive.

    @Roughsauce All four of Mastodon's studio LP covers were done by Paul Romano, and all of their miscellaneous artwork that I've seen was done by him, as well. I can't find a single source crediting Baizley with anything for Mastodon, not to mention that his art is usually recognizable and doesn't have much in common with Mastodon's art.

  • @Arnevet

    @juustosiivu Why can't people just accept that every individual has it's own taste? Thumbs down for you, and many others who participate in useless discussions like these. We should just all be happy that we have this freedom which gives us the possibility to listen to what we, as an individual, like to listen. Besides, who compares Baroness to Dream Theater anyway...
