How was the customer care and support? I’d be interested in trying this but would definitely need to know that the company was as good as their product claims.
Smart Nora is a non-medical device designed to reduce snoring and it should not replace what your physician has prescribed for you. Smart Nora can be used in addition to help reduce your snoring.
If you cant sleep with your sleep apnea mask and you have run out of other options like a MAD device etc you could try this IF you have positional sleep apnea. I have positional apneas, and they are twice as bad on my back. If it keeps your head high enough it could get rid of them.
@@MakeUseOf I don't understand why this is better than a pillow that elevates your head all night. I can nudge my partner when they're snoring to stop, the issue is stopping the snoring before it happens. It seems like in this case the snoring that triggers the Nora would still wake up the partner..
We have a Sleep Number bed that we bought 3 years ago in hopes that raising me up would stop my loud snoring, it doesn't help so I doubt that this would work or am I wrong?
Since there are many different reasons why people snore, Smart Nora will work differently for everyone. That is why we offer the 30 day trial period so you have enough time to decide if its the right solution for you.

It can trigger for you, yeh. You can tweak the activation level, but it's tricky to get right. Not a good solution if you're both loud snorers, I don't think.
I feel like this would wreck my neck. For whatever reason, if I spend like 10 minutes looking at the wrong monitor without moving over - Or lay on a pillow that's too high.... it fucks my neck up something righteous. Also, sadly, we're near a freeway.
That's possible - a cheapo $20 blood pressure monitor would have the required air pump, though you'd need a different sensor I think, very difficult to interface with the tiny circuit one that they come with. MXP5050 is the component you'd need, I believe.
In theory you can tweak the activation level, so unless they're super loud, you can place the sensor close to you and it *should* work fine. In theory, anyway. In practice you'll probably get inflated.
@@MakeUseOf You'd need an infared camera with a picture taken every 15 to 30 seconds. That would give you 40 seconds to 1 minute 20 seconds of accelerated footage, would be perfect.
Yea. That thing is not very brown guy travel friendly Border Patrol : What the fuck is that thing? Brown Guy: It's just my Smart Nora Border Patrol: It's a bomb! It's a bomb! You know the rest of the story.
How funny, my sister has a friend named Nora and she nicknamed her "Snora" because she snores super loud
Great detailed and clear review - many thanks
I was diagnosed with what was called a "mild" case of apnea. So, I still have concerns this may not work for me. However, nothing ventured...
I received my Smart Nora today. Unfortunately, they sent me a broken unit with missing pieces. I'm getting a refund.

I just found one at the Salvation Army in new condition, for $5.99! Got it for my boyfriend, hopefully it works
Does this product work if you have sleep apnea?
No, I believe you need a CPAP machine for that. Speak to your doctor, this is not a medical device and sleep apnea is dangerous.

If it raises your head till it gets rid of snoring, does it just stop at the height and stay there, or go up and down all night?
It raises and lowers all night just to "nudge" you into not snoring

Skeptical and didn’t see you try it out with a live shot of you snoring
Does the power plug support 110V-240V?
Yes, I was testing in the UK (220v)

What if your partner snores before you do and the mic picks it up?

I wish I could afford that. But the price is outrageous. Maybe I can build one with an Arduino.

Get a used one from Ebay.
Try bed risers.

Nonsense
Very cheap device and doesn't work at all, actually I did snore even louder, it is just a pillow that raises and flatness and moves out of your head.
If it works for you, why not showing a real video of yourself sleeping?
My camera can't record for over 30 minutes, for a start! Other than that, it's kind of weird, don't you think?
