All of these albums are such an adventure to me Every Kingdom - is about Ben being young and hopeful for the future in his early days but finding comfort with his close friends Burgh Island - is him finding out that not everything is as easy and bright in life and there are times that can be darker I Forget Where We Were - is about coming to terms with the fact that life can have ups and downs and there are joyful moments but there are also very harsh times and I think end of affair is where he finds his rock bottom to be. It's about loss but also about looking back and trying to find experience and lessons from that. It's like winter and summer at the same time. Noonday Dream - is embracing sentimentality and nostalgia and being introvertically comfortable with yourself. It seems to me like Ben was giving up on everything on Heave Ho and The Defeat or finding things just simply useless but also liking this stableness like in Nica Libres and then Murmurations is so much about just getting peace Collections from the Whiteout - I believe is only about Ben finding out what a drum machine is haha but also just trying to do his best to express how he feels towards Agatha in his own non straight forward way. Even though it's a happy and peaceful time I always wonder how he came up with Sage that She Was Burning as to me this is kind of a darker song And lastly Is it - is just accepting that you're okay with what you feel and that everything around you doesn't have to be about extremes and raw emotions or about fireworks like in the movies. It's just about finding beauty in simplest things, in simplest places as long as you are honest with yourself and if you have someone to share it with that's great. He's such a mature writer to me I always wonder how this he come up with all that stuff and what's happening in that head of his.
