After watching a few videos on your 1UZ expertise...... I must say I have learned so much from your channel and knowledge.......Thanks for posting and loving building this fine engine. ( 1997 coach LS4000
This looks like its going to be enormously helpful when I have to sort the vacuum lines on my SC400, cant wait to tackle it with this knowledge under my belt now. Thanks!
Cool. I never got the silvia footage edited. I should really try to throw a bit together. We never got the 240 over here but got 180sx, 200sx and silvia. Cheers Kelvin
i have ls400 over in Detroit Michigan that im planning on turning into a drift car your videos are super helpful looking forward to the EGR delete video
I have a gen 1 uz (billet rails, for in front), but it also came with an fpr vsv. Cleaning up the engine and harness now, and contemplating getting rid of it and connecting fpr vacuum straight to intake. What downsides could this have?
pretty much just need the brake booster, and fuel pressure regulator then. plus one more for the idle up valve on the p/s pump. i think i got that right?
Are there any differences in the electrical connections like maf and tps between the 92/93 model, i have a 93 1uz and can’t find one but have found multiple 92’s. Wondering if I can use a 92 harness and ecu for a 93 engine. Thank you
92 is a changeover year for ls400 / celsior so 92 could be early or last ecu and loom. Going backwards to older series of ecu would require addition of cold start injector equipment to do correctly. Sc400 or soarer are likely the same between those years. Crown likely the same but pays to check. I prefer to work in series of ecu rather than years. If swapping complete ecu and loom I generally go for thw newer gen 2 looms and match components to suit. Cheers Kelvin
Are those hydraulic winches hooked up to the power steering pump? We don't have those type of comp trucks here in the US. I would love to see how they're set up.
Hello. The powersteer pump runs the hydraulic brake booster and the power steer. There is a hydraulic pump run from the crankshaft for the big winch and another electric winch when the truck is upside down and the engine cant be started. I did a video, ua-cam.com/video/hLKBC8aNTUM/v-deo.html you might be the first to watch it. Warning it contains some workshop language. Cheers Kelvin
Hi Kelvin. I am running haltech ecu on my 93 soarer and nothing to control the vsv for charcoal canister. Is there any point of keeping it or I just blank it off?
How about a preveiw of one of my upcoming videos. Your answer is in here. ua-cam.com/video/as0jOrece4c/v-deo.html and check out a recent post on facebook I made. facebook.com/groups/185552544930933/permalink/1436620883157420/
Is there anything significantly different with the 3uz? I recognized some of these features, but I'm a little unsure how much carries over. I have a JDM unit with no EGR. Thanks!

I'd better track down the footage then. Cheers Kelvin

Sounds good to me. Are you keeping the pcv valve?
Nah yeah of course, how could I forget haha
Thanks Kelvin
Thanks Billy. Hope all is well with you. Cheers Kelvin
I need to get out of California so i can actually do what i wanna do to my cars

What have you used for fuel tank breathing? Its kind of important to have correct breathing for fuel tank?
@@CartuneNZ at the moment it's completely stock soarer fuel system so I'm trying to figure out what to do to get it right.
My question is off topic but I would like to know if the 1uz vvti manifold would fit on non vvti, if not can it be modified to fit

Another nice video.
Could I just ask, if i were to drop a 3uz into my vzn167 hilux, do i have to move the gearbox?
Hello. Sure do. Cheers Kelvin

All the same principles cross over to me. Cheers Kelvin
@@CartuneNZ Thanks!
