We went out to eat with friends last night and they asked me what I liked to do to relax. My hubby pipes up and said, “She likes to watch this couple on UA-cam that travels and goes to National Parks and stuff.” Yup! A+K is my go-to! 😊
I have heard so much about Balboa Park and La Jolla from a weekly San Diego based podcast that I listen to, so it was nice to finally see what the park looks like. Adam with a Ron Burgundy quote for the win!
I only have one problem with your videos. I gain weight every time. I feel like a seal laying on my side in pain. Seriously, totally enjoying your videos. Kona was getting her exercise in also.👍👍💖🙋♂️
Welcome to California and ‘sun’ diego. I was in San Diego from 2005-2008 and I loved every single day! Great video covering all important tourist spots!
You guys are traveling so fast! Love San Diego -- I used to jog up that hill between the beach and Torrey Pines for half marathon training; seems like a lifetime ago. Great to see those views again! Enjoy your taco food tour; looking forward to seeing what you guys try! And shots of Kona: 🤗
5 months seems like a long time to get to Alaska, but there is so much to see on the way! Our videos also don't really reflect real time since we don't film everyday and sometimes spend over a week in a place without filming anything 😄 Excited to share the food tour, it was delicious!
Loved the video, thank you for all the tips! I had a day in San Diego today and went to Communal Coffee, Balboa Park and Embarcadero. Also got some Bobboi Gelato but at the Little Italy location. Cheers!
I lived in San Diego for three years and went to Communal all the time during my lunch breaks. I live in LA now, but SD has a certain charm that LA doesn't have. I'm glad I can still go down and visit on the weekends.
One of the prettiest large cities in America. It gets overlooked a bit because of LA and San Francisco, but San Diego is great. Agreed, those sea lions at La Jolla stink.
Oh yea! This was fun! Let’s be honest, I was most excited about the burgers and boy did they ever look amazing!!! From the way you were dressed it certainly looks like San Diego is a bit warmer than Ohio! Oh how I’m dreaming of spring! Thanks Adam and Katherine for another great vlog!
Beautiful sunny San Diego! I have family there but I haven’t been there in awhile, I will soon. So beautiful there with so much to see, and lots of wonderful restaurants and amazing beaches. Enjoy your time in beautiful San Diego. I’ve been loving your travel adventures. Stay safe.😊😍
Beautiful San Diego! Last time I was there was in my early twenties! It's so nice to see warm weather, beach scenes and beautiful cliffs! Thanks for the tour and enjoy your trip up the coast!!
I'm so happy you went to Ocean Beach!!!! One of my favorite places on the planet. Did you walk the cliffs at sunset? Quite spectacular! And speaking of tacos, There is a restaurant on the historic Ocean Beach Pier called Walking on Water that serves the BEST lobster tacos!!!! Another favorite is the New Break Cafe which is a coffee shop that serves food right across from the beach. And no trip to San Diego is complete without venturing to Extraordinary Desserts! OMG!!! The most decadent outrageous dessert place ever. The Union Street location hits you with a visual feast the moment you walk in the door. Each dessert is a work of art and is adorned with fresh flowers. It's unforgettable!
We were up on the cliffs at Torrey Pines for sunset, but we have been to Sunset Cliffs before (if that is what you're referring to!) Thanks for the food tips! We had heard great things about Extraordinary Desserts and have it listed as a spot on our guide on our website!
Just love following you guys. Your videos are always fresh and fun and so well produced. What a contrast going from the saguaro cactus and desert of the Superstion Mountains to beautiful San Diego, Tory Pines and the Pacific Ocean.
San Diego is probably my favorite US city. Been there numerous times for business and pleasure, but have never been to Torrey Pines. Thank you for taking us along on your hike.

We unfortunately have much less time for fun than you may think. Filming, editing, writing, etc takes us 80+ hours a week. And we have deadlines to get to specific places for commitments we have. Doing our best!
Perfect timing! I'm heading to San Diego for the first time in 3 weeks. Thanks for the tips in the video and guide. I've added the coffee shop and burger place to my list. Yummy!
Well that looks a lot warmer!!! Latte flight I love the concept and the flavors sound really yummy! What a beautiful hike! Toes in the ocean always a treat!!! Kona is like a toddler wanting attention lol! Looking forward to more from San Deigo!

This vlog is a great way to relax and contemplate all the places I hope to see in this great American West. Also looking forward to the upcoming food tour. I've got tacos on the menu this week.
we just finished a very similar trip from PA to OR (the very southern route to avoid any snow) it’s been so fun watching your videos in almost real time with our trip! we loved all the NP we hit in NM and AZ!
12/19/22 I live right by Coffee and Flowers aka Communal Coffee in North Park. My takeaway from this light, fun video is that I do something I thought I would never do in many years of living here--take San Diego for granted. Thank you for prodding me to get out of my recliner and hit Balboa Park next Sunday, Christmas day.
We have been taking notes on your journey. (Website too) Hopefully we will be on our road trip Fla-San Diego soon! On our San Diego list ~Not Not Tacos (Sam the cooking Guy) so hope you visited him! Beautiful video guys! ~Cara 😊
Okay, so NOT the point of this video at all, but at 1:36, those dungarees in the coffee shop, come flower shop, come gift shop were SO cute ❤ I really liked how colourful Balboa Park was - very quirky and totally looks like a unicorn threw up all over it - winning! That beach that you guys had lunch on is all kinds of beautiful. I don't blame you for getting take-out despite their cool interior. It's SO miserable here in the UK. We've just come out of a really bad storm (I appreciate in comparison to the tornadoes, earthquakes and hurricanes you guys get over there, this is probably nothing) but for us, it was pretty major, and watching you guys sat on that beach, and sat outside eating gelato outside is making me beyond jealous!!! Loved the wildlife later in the video. Usually only expect to see it from you guys at the start of videos and when hiking, so a nice surprise. The Cormorants were amazing - I've only ever seen the yellow ones, never blue!! The shot you got with the eggs in the nest too was amazing! 😍 The Torrey Pines area and hike looked so nice, but costly if you had to pay to park, so good job on scoring the on street parking!! Whilst I did notice the lack of tacos, I did pick up on the Taco Birthday card right at the start in the shop 🌮
They had SO many CUTE things in that coffee shop! All high quality gifts! Adam was just telling me about the storm and how he heard people were watching livestreams planes try to land at Heathrow. Sounds wild! We were very thankful to have a beautiful winter day in San Diego, although it did rain the next day, so it's not all perfect haha We were stoked to get free parking...more money for tacos in the next video! 😜
Thanks for the beautiful video. I haven't been to San Diego in years. On my bucket list. You must have been there on a Monday. I didn't see any people and businesses looked closed.
