Great list, guys. It's nice to see JT's #8 still getting some love. It's such an underappreciated game, and I often pull it out when I'm in the mood for something like Space Hulk:Death Angel, but have more time and want the deckbuilding aspect. I mistook the video title as being the worst 5 games, but I'm glad it's not that. Bring on the top 5!
I agree about Blood Rage. My first playthrough, I got Loki'd TWICE in the first round. It turned me off the whole game. I just don't like how the game rewards those who LOSE battles also.
I really like JT's #6 along with the newer releases of it! I play it often because it's so easy to table. Plus, there is a campaign-ish version on BGG to download, which gives a little more structure to who/what you play and play against. Hope I didn't give anything away.
There aren't really good guys in Dune, though, so that's a pretty big difference between the two IPs. I think the "good guys" in Lord of the Rings not being able to be aggressors is not only thematic to the setting, but thematic even to the deeper philosophy behind the writing itself.
@SamHealey6 Ooh, I sense a fun friendly debate coming on! :D That's actually one of my favorite sayings, but I would argue that doing nothing and not striking first aren't necessarily the same thing. Plus, lore-wise, while the good guys thought SOMETHING might be going down, they had no idea it was Sauron until he started making his move. Lore-wise, not being able to attack first was, I imagine, just how they mechanized that sudden "Here I am, I'm Sauron! Booga booga!"
@@AndrewGoenner Actually…it wasn’t that didn’t know… they didn’t listen to Gandalf…they were willfully complacent and drunk on the peace and comfort they had become accustomed to.
Sheriff of Nottingham isn’t a cheat. Cool mini or not is on the first edition box as well.
My ONLY complaint about the Scooby Doo board game is that the Witchdoctor is a GLARING omission, bro is iconic. I don't even remember the witch...
I wonder where blood rage will be…. It’s a secret to everyone. Love ya Sambo. Great list JT.
Is it tesseract that comes with the handy but lazy susan?
Edit: Yes, it does. I thought they were the same game for a sec
Hey Sam! It is good to see you back on the Dice Tower!
Thanks so much!
You people are very entertaining.
Thanks so much! We have a great time recording them together, so it’s great to hear they’re being enjoyed!
I remember Cool Mini or Not. Today I learned that CMON is the new name. Didn’t know they were connected.

…but only IF you have the right cards does it reward you for losing…it’s all part of the plan…

Sam is back? And he has lost a lot of weight!

The main way that evil can grow is by good people doing nothing….

Sorry JT, but Blood rage should be higher, even on your list! 🤟 Marvel united X-men is a great pick!
