I totally understand you bro. I am collecting watches for 15 years and last month I dropped my SKX007 on my kitchen floor. It was working but it was loosing time and the power reserve went down to 24 hours. I took it to the watchmaker and told me that the hairspring required replacement. I ended up servicing the movement and replaced the hairspring. I paid €130. Unfortunately this is the cost of owing an automatic watch. Stay solid and never give up.
Hold it in one hand, and slap the face of it firmly with the heel of your palm. It might work again. Trick I learned from a video of Marc at Long Island watch. Worked on my stuck Seiko turtle and haven’t had any issues since.
I feel your pain Gethin. A split second, and circumstances of sale etc is changed. I did the same with a Borealis. Like you say, it's not like it's your MM300. I can recommend you a great watch guy who's cheap but very established.
@gethinchristian HI Gethin, sorry for late reply. RYTE TIME WATCH REPAIRS. They are based in Leicester. Ask for Terry. Used them a few times for movement repairs and calibration. Fantastic.
Open it up and see if something came loose. nothing to lose at this point. The jewels are held in by a spring like fastener if hard hit, could shake loose
I feel the pain! Since it's your first mistake, you don't have to perform Sokushinbutsu this time. The good news is that the movement is probably the less expensive part of a SARB035. If you still want to sell it, even if not working it retains much of its value.
Something might have dislodged inside. Hope it doesn't cost much to repair since I believe it is a minor problem. Happens to all of us Gethin. Dropped a watch several times while putting on a leather strap awkwardly. But it can be fixed.
one theory is that there are no accidents. meaning that you dropped it because you did not really want to sell it. who knows ?but sorry for your setback. bright side is that you still have the sarb. an irreplaceable twerp to me. random rob would still sell it for you. thanks for the update
I would put it on the Bay and sell it, let the next guy fix it himself for pennies. Get rid of the bad memories and buy something that will make you happy. I just bought an Adidas M1 stainless quartz watch and put a battery in it and I can't set the time. That is only a $30.00 loss but it still hurts. HaHa...OH, When you pulled on the bracelet and it came apart , that made me laugh.
Haha. The bracelet is fine. I had separated it to remove the spring bars. I'm probably going to fix it and keep for a while. It's a great watch but I do want to buy a Sinn 556 rs. Thanks Steve!

It's our worst nightmare George! Thanks for your unwavering support.
That's a good looking watch. I've almost bought the sarb035 a few times. I wish for a speedy recovery.
It will tick again, M.Gethin. Never give up! ❤
Never!

Sage advices Mr Tim. Sadly this Twerp is totally spazzed.
I feel your pain Gethin. Hopefully it will be nothing major and a cheap repair.

I can't believe I dropped it! Your recommendation would be appreciated Zeus.

Drop it again you might bring it back to life!!!!

It's pretty messed up Raf. The whole movement is rattling around in there.
@@gethinchristian damn. Maybe just pickup a whole new movement and do swap. Not sure if what it would cost to fix. sorry bro, SARB is such a beauty.
I sold mine as well. Got a good price. I hope you get her fixed to your satisfaction. Good luck.
Thanks Shawn.

Unfortunately I have already performed self mummification Andrea. I was left with no other options.
@@gethinchristian A little bit of self-mummification is good for the skin.
@@theseikoguy It's very cleansing. Lovely stuff!

Something is loose for sure. Feels like the whole movement is rattling around in there!
Oh no!!!
And did I hear you say, "selling the OSD"!??!!!
It's the only way I can fund new watches. As much as I love it I rarely wear it anymore. Maybe time to let go, I'm not sure!
Feeling your pain 😧☹️😞
The pain that is self inflicted is the worst John.
Hope you got this watch in good order and that it didn't cost you much
The watch was repaired and has now been sold!
Damn... It happens... hope the price of fixing will not be astronomical!
Nothing I can't fix with a dremmel and a steamroller Niko.
😂
That’s sucks. It might be cheaper to replace the movement than service it
About £170-180 for a new 6r15. Hopefully a service will be cheaper mariog!
😕it will beat once again Mr C. 👍
A desolate husk is all that remains of what once was.

I did it on purpose.
That sucks bro... I'm a ape, always banging my watches against things...
First time for me. Hopefully the last!

I'm looking at the Seiko mods nh34 GMTs for my next watch.@@gethinchristian
It won't play .😢
What a steaming bellend. Unbelievable.
@@gethinchristianit's working now.
Great rollicking arseholes!!!
It was manslaughter, M.Gethin, and nothing worse. Hope the Sarb returns to the land of the living very soon. Cheers 🍻!
Yikes.
Hit me up. I can fix it.
That would be great!
