This is a great skirt for beginners and everyone that just wants a quick, comfy sewing project!. You can even make the ties longer and tie it not on your sides but the back part first with a knot on the front and than the front part with a knot in the back, tucked in the waistband. Thats how historical petticoats were tied and it makes it easier to adjust the lenght of the ties and you won't have gaps on the side.
