I remember seeing Emily Susannah come up with this idea... She's so creative... You can use acrylic to fill the molds as well not just acrygel/polygel. I use a 4 step "sandwich";method, 1) THIN topcoat inside - cure 2) layer of clear polygel - cure, 3) chrome powder + fill with GELLY colored polygel OR jelly gel polish cure (add extra 30 seconds to your cure if you use jelly gel polish and done. I'm telling you, it turns out amazingly beautiful! Play with your products and ratios till you find what you like best.
Kirsty should try placing holo or duo chrome foil on the base of the acrylic gems to see if it creates refractions through the acrylic. Holo gems might be pretty cool!
I would do this all the time at nail school. I’d fill mine with acrylic, sometimes I’d make a charm out of clay and put that in the glue to have an original charm. The best part is you can take an e file to the back to make it fit the curve of your nail
I love this idea! This is amazing! I have seen people make charms this way, but never crystals. Wow! I really think that you could re-create the aurora borealis crystals. All you have to do is make a silver chrome back and on the top chrome the unicorn Chrome. Amazing! 🤯
This is a great idea. I wonder how it would work if you pressed a clear nail on top before you cure the crystal to get the shape of the back so there's no gap on the sides.
Excellent! You know, you could probably encapsulate tiny things inside the "jewel" like a snip of lace from your mom's wedding dress on your own wedding day, or a puppy tooth, or a little flower, etc.
I've done this exact thing except using either UV resin or regular epoxy resin, just cuz I have a lot more of that laying around than acrygel. They look really cool with mica powder mixed into the resin. You can even do the same thing Adam was saying and paint the back with colored gel polish or top coat & chrome!
When I was around 21, we used to do shots at our favorite bar that were topped with Bacardi 151 and lit on fire. You were supposed to just let the flame go out on its own or blow it out before doing the shot, but one night one of my friends was way too drunk and didn't blow it out first and ended up with flaming alcohol all over himself and the bar. He was fine, but needless to say that was the last flaming shot that bar ever served😅
AAHHHHH!!!!!! I love this idea! Not gonna lie, I've used some of my nail supplies for crafty stuff before but I've never thought about making a mold with my glue gun!!! GENIUS!!!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!❤
It feels like it would be really effective to put the chromes on the flat side of the sculpts. That way you get the 3D effects, and still have the color.
Hi new sub here Love your work. And the nice gentleman (cameraman) is very knowledgeable about nail stuff. I bet he could do a nice set 😊 Thanks for 20 minutes of fun
You should try putting the top coat into the mold first, then cure or partially cure depending on the top coat, then rub chrome into that top coat, then fill with the poly gel, and finally cure.
These came out so nicely! The first one you put on the nail looked like a Swarovski AB! I don’t do nails, but now I want to buy acrygel to make little molded items for dioramas instead of liquid UV resin. Might be a lot easier to control where it goes, and maybe also to sculpt and texture things.
YESS!!! this looks so cool and you two seem to be having so much fun! i learned recently that lots of resin artists have holographic molds- as in the holo is BUILT INTO the mold. apparently you can't topcoat those but i'm not sure if maybe you could get away with using it on the back of the gem... honestly some really exciting stuff Kirsty!
This is crazy! I was going to try to do this with moldable gel and you did it!! Awesome!! ❤️ I never thought of doing this with hot glue for the mold. I was just going to try to sculpt it.
I love this idea. I wonder if chameleon/unicorn flakes added between the top coat and gel would give a opal look? 🤔 Hmm...I gotta try this! 💎 Sending positive vibes and blessings from Northern Indiana USA 💀🌹
That’s really cool Kristy how creative you can be haha I just thought of one thing I’d probably do differently is use builder gel for the actual crystals I think builder gel or a really thick rubber base or blingy gel would’ve been much more clear and then I was wondering could you possibly use the acrygel itself to make the mold??!! Love this and your videos absolutely amazing!!! 😍💞🥰💕🙏
Yes, making your own gems 💎 might be time consuming a little bit but it’s amazing and I love doing! Well there’s many techniques and ways you can make your own gems 💎
Your crystals are beautiful, but you will need a silver back to get more of a full crystal effect. The polished facets on the back with a metallic, mirror finish is a big part of what makes the Swarovski crystals shine. If you have a flat back, the mirror finish will still add more shine.
Been playing with nails and resin myself and I wonder what Adams crystal would look like if you put clear top over the outside of jem or even others bc it should make them Pop for sure then??? Love this video
I would have made sure the bottom of the crystal was curved, so it can fit perfect to the nail. That is part of the problem with gems, they are flat, nails are not... Seeings how your making a crystal, why not make it fit perfectly.... Using a plastic full cover tip - makes it so easy!! 😊
We sooo need a ‘let’s craft with Kirsty’ playlist now! These gems are as unique as you - love it ❤❤
There is silicone you can buy and mold the swarowski in. That holds the shine hundreds of uses

❤❤❤ I love it!!! I really loved Adam's combo, the pink was just a hint... Can you imagine how many combos??? 😮😂❤ Have an awesome day everyone!!!!
Adam was so on the right track! You need black AFTER the chrome on the back to make the mirror finish!
What a brilliant idea! I love glue guns 💞
Kirsty should try placing holo or duo chrome foil on the base of the acrylic gems to see if it creates refractions through the acrylic. Holo gems might be pretty cool!
Maybe even aurora film
@@BrandiBARyes!

I am soooo excited to try this idea!! Kirsty, you make nail time so fun!!

THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!! KIRST YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN, LOVE YA FOR ALL THE TIPS AND TRICKS!!!
This is a great idea. I wonder how it would work if you pressed a clear nail on top before you cure the crystal to get the shape of the back so there's no gap on the sides.
That's brilliant!
Excellent! You know, you could probably encapsulate tiny things inside the "jewel" like a snip of lace from your mom's wedding dress on your own wedding day, or a puppy tooth, or a little flower, etc.
The plain glue + holographic chrome reminds me of moonstone.
That 2nd finished nail is lovely!
this opens up a whole new world of possibilities. I can't wait to try it.

Stunning, there’s no such thing as too much bling 💎💗🌟
I’ve done this to recreate pieces from vintage jewelry using resin but never would have thought if it for nails… Awesome 🤩
Love this duck! That glue gun looked like sumat out of Stingray! xx

Can’t wait to try this with the liquid chromes as well!!! So many combos, so many designs!!
I bet they would be ideal on the back of the “stones”.
Maybe aurora film? I think that’d work.
Those look like gorgeous rare stones and I’m OBSESSED 🤩🤩🤩
I really love that second nail design!! All very creative & beautiful though…
Love you Kirsty!!
This is a fantastic idea, would love to see some gold leaf inside! Opalesque !! X
It feels like it would be really effective to put the chromes on the flat side of the sculpts. That way you get the 3D effects, and still have the color.
My mind is blown!
I can’t wait for the mr buttons restock ❤
Imagine tiny gems in the skull that would look amazing 😍😍xx
Red ones.
Krafty Kirsty!! Love it
Great class...how to do your DIY stones for nails. 😎☺Yes.....great 🆗 job Kirsty...... Beautiful🆗💯
I would love to see the clear crystal with a Natalia silver on the back.
I agree. I think each crystal should have silver as the final coat on the back so it reflects the light back though the crystal.
Wow Adams nail crystal is awesome on that nail!
Hi duck, from Sunny California! Beautiful job, as always!
Hi new sub here
Love your work. And the nice gentleman (cameraman) is very knowledgeable about nail stuff. I bet he could do a nice set 😊
Thanks for 20 minutes of fun
What a great idea!💡 They turned out beautifully! I had the same idea as Adam so I was happy to see it being done! 😊💅🏻💅🏻
Adam it’s the clear Orbeez or clear water beads that disappear in a glass of water.
Embed angel paper in your gel.....its gorgeous
You should try putting the top coat into the mold first, then cure or partially cure depending on the top coat, then rub chrome into that top coat, then fill with the poly gel, and finally cure.
These will be amazing with the new liquid chromes!!!
This is awesome!!! Great idea!!!
Gosh Adam, that was a bad burn.

Stunning. Any word when Mr. Bottoms brush will be available? ❤
21:23 yes Adam I’ve been following from the first time you mentioned it
Love watching your content!!!

💀🌹
So freaking cool and fun!!! I wish i was there with you creating fun stuff!
Love experiments!
You could try mixing myca powder with the resin before pouring into the mold.
This was amazing!
Loved it 💜🦋💜
Gorgeous ❤
Absolutely overwhelming ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love this. Would you do this method with some soft or hard gel? It would be super clear.
Nicely done ❤❤❤❤❤
Brilliant!!!
Brilliant!
That was so interesting!
You need to use gel top coat for the entire crystal, let it drip into the mold and it will be crystal clear.
Cool idea! I wonder what it would look like with foil or good/silver leaf on the back?
I wonder if the used mold loses the shine because the glue will melt slightly when it gets heated up in the lamp each time its cured? 🤔
I can't wait to try this ❤
More mold making please!
Pop some rhinestones in the skulls eyes!!! Great idea for making molds!!!!🎉
Your crystals are beautiful, but you will need a silver back to get more of a full crystal effect. The polished facets on the back with a metallic, mirror finish is a big part of what makes the Swarovski crystals shine. If you have a flat back, the mirror finish will still add more shine.
Love love love 💕 them all

Hi Kirsty & Adam 🤗I love it I love bling but I’m not good at putting them on myself
So!!!..🎉🎉
🎉 Amazingly.. 🎉🎉talented.
🔐💯🧿👍
I know what I'm doing this weekend!😀
I love this! 🤔
Clear orbeez, Adam? Those disappear in water.
love it SO MUCH!!!!
Has to be WAY lighter than a crystal too! Win Win … I’m hoarding my Swarovoski’s
