Hi Kubeir, would like to seek advise on my current situation.... My Spousal Open Work Permit was refused on Nov 12th 2023... I came to Canada in Sept 2021 through Intra company transfer from India... This year they informed to me that due to project constraints and budget issues, they are transferring me back to India... Since I was living with my common law partner, based on his PGWP, I applied for Spousal Open Work Permit... But I received the refusal letter on Nov 12th 2023 stating since I have valid Closed Work Permit status until Feb 2026 (we had not mentioned in the application that I am losing the job over here and that is the main reason for applying the SOWP)... Now I have raised for the reconsideration stating the details along with resignation letter... Received the acknowledgement on Dec 1st 2023 that my file is sent to the officer and it all depends on the officer for reconsideration approve or reject... May I pls know how long will it take for the officer to respond if my application will be reconsidered or not? And in this case will the officer reconsider my case or not?

Sure, once your employer applies for an LMIA for supervisor you can avail it's benefit for closed wp or 50 points in EE, if ur eligible

I have valid job offer and 1 year has been completed and also employer will give me letter mentioning that I will stay one year with him.
but my closed work permit is expiring in 2 months and job continue with LMIA supported employer (valid job offer)

Is there any restrictions on working after getting LMIA. Are we required to work for same employer for two years even if we have already got a PR?
My case scenario: I have PGWP. Employer ready to give LMIA. She is saying as per law, I have to work with her for two years from the date of approval of LMIA.
My question is Am I required to work with the same employer for two years after LMIA approval even if I have PGWP.
Also, do I have to keep working for same employer till I get my PR or I can switch jobs?

If on Open Work Permit but asked employer to get LMIA to qualify for the valid job offer points in express entry. Will the job offer still be valid and get the points if an ITA was only received after the 6 months validity of LMIA expired but open work permit still valid? Should apply for a new LMIA?
