not only we ask for part 2, but we NEED part 2!!!
Dude!! This is the kind of drum programming tutorial that i have been dying to see!!
it's amazing how balanced it sounds right out of the box. would be cool to see the EQ, compressors, etc. already running in the back
Really cool stuff! Would love to see a part 2.
Would keen for a part two
Never thought of writing stuff in an already mixed template, it sure helps to already hear a kind of finished project as you go. Also what I love the most is seeing how excited you get when you find that little touch that changes absolutely everything !
I love this! Hope to hear more
great to see the process of writing unfolding, thank you for the insights
this series will be big
Very informative and food for thought.
This was super insightful and I would love to see you continue this series! I always feel strangely motivated after watching these types of songwriting videos and learning about other people's approaches to songwriting :)
Bro I luv the new stuff it’s sick!
I cheered for the metric moduation into triplets with the verse. I love that in music.
Man I've not even watched it yet but I know I need more of this type of content 🔥
Love it!!
90% of modern metal they using guitar pro to write music I'm also one of them
I finished the video and that irony came to me because making music you brought and listening to it makes me happy hahaha, thank you for sharing your experience, I felt very identified with many things in the process
Great to see your process and how you build up your ideas. Really like the picked part around 26:00. Reminds me of 80's Killing Joke!
my one rule that I oppose on myself is broken by you in this video. Everything stands to be half as long as initially written in order to stay interesting.
I think it depends on what you want to achieve and which kind of riff you apply. Fast and technical or rather big and dwelling with layers. Both have their appropriate lengths I would say to make them suit a song.
Hell yeah I'm a huge fan of the 3rd amp in Archetype: Rabea, that tight knob does wonders tidying up the bottom end 🤘
2:33 reminded me of Ollie Thorpe's song Contagious
awesome 🔥🔥🔥
YEAAAHHH! This has been very insightful forum own writing purposes to see other peoples methods to help improve my own efficiency.
Glad it was helpful!
Need a part 2!
So good!
Epic 🔥
Yes, lets finish it🎉
Great stuff. MIDI keyboard is the way :)
Nice riffs too man
Sick man, always a good time when you pop up in my feed. Let's see if you can help me write better music!
man, that intro is my favorite!
Glad you like it!
Nice, do part 2 this is the video stuff you should do.
I will!
Bro you are super talented and amazing 😍
Thank you 🙌
What I'm hearing out as a japanese accent at 23:00 is AWESOME! Also the video is very helpful!
Absolutely loved the video mate! Hope you make a few more of these. This is so inspirational to go and record my own stuff!
And a very important side question:
IS THAT A SIM RACING RIG BEHIND YOU?! Drop the ID so we can race bro! Let´s get a guitarist community race on!
Will continue the song as soon as I have time!
It is! I used to play GT4 and GT5 A LOT as a kid. A good year ago or so I had the opportunity to buy a complete rig for the unbelievable price of 100€, so I paired that with a 150€ old gaming PC from a mate and I've been regularly enjoying my solo time-attack runs in Assetto Corsa since😄😄
really cool video, can u show your bass settings in the next one? which plugin is it?
100% agree with that take on writing in a writing template vs Guitar pro. I need an inspiring feedback loop to keep on writing and not overcomplicate things, which GP just doesn’t do for me at all
:D so cool, we all know the "nooooouuu ..., noooooouuu". Es geht halt jedem gleich, man mag sich selbst am wenigsten bei Fehlern, seien sie noch so klein :D
And u also like the simracing (i see that stuff in the background). Btw that was pretty insane!
Yeah I enjoy my occasional sim time attack haha! Had the chance to get the rig for next to nothing and the PC is a 2013 gaming PC that I bought off a friend for cheap as well, but it handles Assetto Corsa just fine!
Might need to start a sim racing channel😂
yep, sad music makes me happy
bro this is some good stuff right here. I feel like you gave us more than most other people do when they make these things. your channel is underrated. aaallllsoooo... why not use the headless you built? you really prefer the Harley benton over your builds?
I appreciate that!
The headless is "only" a 26,5 inch mild baritone. I would even wish for more than 27 on the Harley Benton because it barely handles drop F! I'm rather disappointed that the baritone market offers little to no guitars with a 28" scale. I need to build my own😄
noice!
I might have to refer to riffs as "bold riffs" from now on
Maigaddd 😂 20:21
Great process, would love work of your template if possible.
Great Sound. Good Job . Very 🆒 Channel
Thanks a lot!
PART 2!!!!!!
Need to find the time 🥲
Awesome man! What's that keyboard of yours? I'm planning to get one for the same purpose you showed.
It's a Korg MicroKey!
I find the most simple riffs are often the best ones. I write in the same way. I need a bit of prodvon it to see it in its true form before i comtinue
i need a baritone guitar
Wow!! Really great video! Thank you! But did you bought template? If yes from where?
I made it. It's basically the result of my decade-long learning by doing and watching UA-cam tutorials of mixing and mastering techniques!
@@MilianMalivukMusic ahh i see!
Needed another way to get my Thick Riff Thursday fix.
Like if you know what I mean :)
Sounds great!
Fat riff Friday?
Will you share one time the template ? and all the plugins you have ?
You make it look easy. Also what bass is that?
It's a 1993 Ibanez SR1305!
I have always had issues when composing non 4/4 drum section, until i have found a way to trick my brain - always start your bar with a snare. For some reason it works for composing. Then i just remove some of those snare or replace them with a kick.
My trick is double the length of the bar so it makes an even number since and odd number x2 is always even, then you can just throw the snare on every other beat
Do you have problems with PerfectDrums and the latest Macos and logic updates?^^
Fortunately not! I hope it stays compatible as long as possible though!
It is great to work with templates and even more so if they are processed, but how do you manage to execute without latency?
The only plugin causing latency and CPU issues is the Ozone mastering chain. The rest works fine even fully mixed, though I don't have very complex signal chains. This 2021 M1 iMac handles it decently! (Consider that I was also screenrecording here)
@@MilianMalivukMusic I was surprised when you used the plugin and seemed to have absolutely no latency. When I output the guitar signal live (even without any processing effects) I have a noticable latency and it feels impossible to play. My DAW Cakewalk shows me a latency of 2 ms between input and output of my Focusrite Scarlett interface when setting up the ASIO driver accordingly. My cpu should be fast enough. Did you have any issues like that in the past and know any tricks?
If anyone has the same issue, i found the solution. I was using the ASIO4all drivers which are way slower than the standard ASIO drivers of the device. After uninstalling ASIO4all and installing the standard ASIO driver, i felt no latency at all.
your guitar tracks are double tracked ? or you use a stereo effect ?
I double track the main distorted guitars!
How do i get this guitar tone on a standard 6 string, my guitar give up after 10-56 gauge
Pretty difficult if not impossible. This is a 27" baritone and it barely holds drop F.
@@MilianMalivukMusic i guess transpose from neural dsp it is then
What tuning is that??
Drop F!
How can we get the logic template?
I created this myself, I will soon share how I did it!
@@MilianMalivukMusicthis would be really cool man to see! Studying now how to obtain better mixes straight out of the box!! I hope to see this ahah
@@MilianMalivukMusic I would even pay for it! Obviously everyone would have to alter it based on their plugins etc, but something to start would be super cool.
What is the DAW!?
Logic Pro!
Can you upload the template?
I could, but I'm not sure it would be of that much help since I use a variety of plugins across all tracks. If you don't have all the exact same plugins it will be useless!
However I will gladly share how I made it so you can better understand to build your own!
I'd prefer a Methyl Song... THE FINAL ODE TO ALCOHOL AND ALL IT'S JOYS. As everybody knows... without alcohol no Metal would ever exist! (>_
What shortcut do you use for zooming and panning?
To go left and right I'm scrolling left/right on my magic mouse, to zoom you press option + scroll (either up/down or left/right) to zoom in or to make the tracks bigger in size! I love the magic mouse workflow!
