You can't really go wrong with any, they are great, though for me, its the Speed 3, just a bit silier and more manic to drive
Had this battle last year before getting my 6. Decided AWD, sedan and rarity for the win

I think the Speed 6 is the nicest looking car of the two. It's more of a grown up mans car. The Speed 3 looks too boy racer imho!

No point in comparing stock numbers.. no one will buy one and keep the car stock. Modded and tuned, the 6 is a clear winner simply due to AWD. What’s the point in owning a fwd car?

Speed 3 and 6 owner here, the 6 is in another league, 600whp speed 6 can compete in a drag race with a GTR and it wont break if you don't dump the clutch.
Really good video. I owned a 6 mps many years ago and it's the car I regret selling the most! The most underrated car. Well equipped and quick! Did only get 15mpg on average, but countless smiles per gallon!
I have a turbo mx5 na now which has been a right ballache! But is so, so much fun when it works right.

owned both blown both mazdaspeed 6= daily mazdaspeed 3= race far i loved how the mazdaspeed 6 drives but i have more fun in the mazdaspeed 3 hated working on the 6 and like working on the 3 alot more both are great cars if you have a option you cant go wrong with either i can beat a 392 from a dig in the 6 or beat it at a roll in the 3 if you upgrade the turbo because the k04 does loose its breath in the higher speeds

Nah MS6 for race cuz it got awd, faster corners and launch.
AWD is great for launching yes, but they are heavier so don't corner as well, it's all about preferences
@Tuners Weight has nothing to do with cornering... chassis and suspension setup is the most important thing(The speed 6 has a 50% more rigid chassis compared to the Normal 6 which helps eliminate body roll). I have already raced a friend who had a Speed 3. We were on a damp track and he didn`t stand a chance!
@@evancai6061 Totally agree. If you were on a wet track even more so! AWD would leave FWD behind. FWD loses traction in cornering because the front wheels are trying to grip and steer at the same time.

The engines are good. However, they are a HUGE pain in the ass to work on. Due to GDI the injectors are located under the intake, and to get to them, you need to take out the battery, EGR, airbox, throttlebody, and power steering pump. I messed up one of my injectors and now I have to take it apart again.

Yeah, drivetrain loss maybe larger on the MPS 6 but don't forget if you are unable to put down that power you just going to smoke those wheels. There is a loss either way.
Yeah 100% I get into that when we talk about acceleration times and modability
I have always driven FWD and I know from experience that lots of torque + FWD = torque steer! Unless you have a fancy LSD. You lose so much power and traction through FWD. Since getting the AWD Speed 6 it's like being in a different world! I don`t have to worry when I enter corners too fast now, even in the wet!
The 3 has a lsd aswell, you didn't mention it
Weirdly I never lost to a speed 3 my speed 6 destroys every time I race at the track , thou mine is tuned with carbon fiber hood , doors , trunk lid, with a fully built engine and I can put the power down plus it's so rare compared to a 3 and is a total sleeper as all my carbon parts have been painted to make it look more stock .

CX-7 tuned at 18+ psi (high gear, high speed... 1st and 2nd remains at 13.6 psi)
Top speed 240 km/h (140+ mph)... launch like crazy, lag is lowered by the tune and other hardware (bigger TMIC)
On wet nobody came close with the Toyo Proxes 2, new Michelin’s are a step down on wet but better on dry
The Speed3 is rocket... more hardware, 22 psi Justin Brasil’s tune... but launching is complicated lol, and wet is impossible... literally (dumb Pilot Super Sport)

@@mille7476 yes definitely! Both great cars, if youre gonna buy it as a first car, make sure you know they're not the cheapest on fuel and need good maintenance
