Carbonite was a specific request from Jabba? The carbon freezing was a last minute decision by Vader, to capture Luke, that Boba Fett only knew about right before it happened. Also Fett worried that Han wouldn't survive the carbon freezing and was apprehensive about the process. This making it highly unlikely that it was a request by Jabba.
Man if people think THIS Fett is badass then they need to check out the EU novels and comics. Half the stuff that happens to Fett in these comics NEVER would have happened to the old Boba. But I kind of like this Boba better. I hate when either side, good guys or bad, are too OP. In the old EU, Zuckuss would have been too AFRAID to EVER go after Fett. As would any of the other members of the Guild.

Boba is one of the characters that I kinda liked being OP, but I kinda understand why they would nerf him.

there were some cool moment, but overall the story-telling was abysmal
