    I smiled when you held up the p51-b. Another good MOJO build. Enjoy.

    I'm hugely impressed with your results on this kit. I'm not keen on the accompanying dialogue to the video but I'd say this is one of the best early 109 models I've ever seen. 10/10.

    Perfekt. The best work i have seen yet. Most of the modellers are overaging their models. You did it just right.

    The P38 by Tamiya is an absolute joy to build. The 109 looks stunning BTW, glad to hear your getting your mojo back.

    Sean, yet another very tasteful build! I think thats your strength, beside the obvious coffee slurping 😂 As you reference the book: „everyone“ can nowdays get to know all kind of tricks, but i has to be in the right amount. Its easy to overdo things. You find always a pleasing combo!

    The P38G is the dope. Beautiful kit and a joy to put together.
    They now have the P38J with Richard Bong's markings for "Marge". Have fun!!

    it looks amazing. Albeit, a bit frustrating to see that kind of quality when, according to you, your mojo is on temporary leave. Thanks a million for showing us the tips and tricks to make this hobby even more enjoyable. My models aren't in the same league as yours.... but they're waaaay better than the ones from before I found your channel. Thanks, Sean

    I greatly appreciate the tip of using oils to achieve panel lines and center fading on the panels. I hate mottling with an airbrush - too tedius for me.

    I think it’s looks fantastic. Not over done. I might get a couple of simple Tamiya kits to try get my mojo back. I have that P-38F/G also. I think the F/G stands for F#$%en Good kit 😜. Look forward to that build. That looks like a good book a review would be cool. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃

    I have about 50 models that I just can’t seem to finish. My interest wonders to a new kit.

    I personally put down a semigloss coat for oil work; split the difference between a flat and gloss.

    Mojo? Sounds to me like a good cigar and a stiff shot of whiskey would take care of that!

    Hello, how do you get that great finish on model ? Somehow I'm not able to get such gloss, semi gloss or flat finished. I'm using tamiya, mr hobby or mrpaint colours...what ratio paint/thinner are you using ?

    • @seanerk5kt9
      @seanerk5kt9  2 роки тому

      I spray at about 12 psi and mix my paints pretty thin. I don’t have a typical ratio as sometimes I want it thicker or thinner depending on the color or look that im going for. The real key is to wet sand. Wet sand using a 4000 or 6000 grit polishing cloth starting with the primer and then after the main paint layer.

    • @tomazpravdic331
      @tomazpravdic331 2 роки тому

      @@seanerk5kt9 thank you... You always do wet sanding? Prior gloss coat

    • @seanerk5kt9
      @seanerk5kt9  2 роки тому +1

      @@tomazpravdic331 most of the time. I use Tamiya acrylics which will almost always be at least slightly grainy after being sprayed. Using the 4000 grit sanding cloth it smooths away that slight graininess
