I only pay retail OR under retail because this shit is stupid i aint paying a shoe that equals 2 minimal wage in my country just to "have drip" or "flex"
It kinda sounds dumb but I agree the lack of negotiation takes away from the experience. Stockx got big around the first time I started having adult money. I bought some space jams, which I wanted since I was a kid and I was really happy but I noticed how fast it wore off. Then I bought a few other pairs I had wanted and I noticed how much the fun had decreased. There's no sport to it. No hunting, no haggling, no creating relationships, no falling out over bad deals, no risk (other than possibly getting fakes), and most of all, no stories or memories connected to pickups. It's just click, own. Compare that to my first pair of bapestas I put on layaway in 2007. I saved and hustled for 3 months to afford them and I wore them until there was holes in them. It feels like such an empty hobby now. Plus the quality of Nike is dropping so much. I can't judge anyone for wearing reps although I prefer bootlegs.
I’m glad cause now I don’t have to pay extra I will literally wait till the shoes come out and go and get them a few days later I’m getting them for retail if not under like the 11s the fact that 11s are sitting in the store still is crazy all 11’s use to sell now they on shelves.
Collecting sneakers and not wearing them is silly. Sneakers don't last, they literally fall apart within a generation. A gold bar will be exactly the same in 100 years, a pair of sneakers will be trash. And of course stock x makes money off selling reps.
@@Fitsbyfree Thanks man. I wear all my clothes lol. I collect Coogi sweaters but I wear every single one--and they also last better than sneakers, there's no reason they won't still be in good shape in another decade or two. I actually have at least one sweater that's older than me.
Word up👊🏿I wear ALL! my sneaks (even my Y-3’s been out travelling) if you wear them you heat up and compress the glue of the outsole better so they last longer that way and also wear them for what they are made for.

When you order a pair of Jordans and they come in a Nike box with the correct size tag. Reach out to customer service and they will tell you Jordan Brand is made by Nike. The box is correct. StockX is dying! Ebay has really stolen its thunder.
@@Fitsbyfree You don’t think so? Think about it, they technically burst the bubble and now there will be a reset in the market that actually is consumer friendly. Not what it has become.
It’s crazy that ppl hate on resell so much. My journey started when I actually started making money and I wanted some bred toes but I realized they were too expensive to justify buying them. Instead of crying and complaining I learned how to buy hyped releases for retail. And now I buy shoes that I actually want, make some money on the side or keep hyped released as trade value. Call me a hypebeast but something about having expensive sneakers feels really good.
lol you do realize most people don’t a give shit what you have on your feet..having something expensive don’t mean shit .. it’s more how you can style it making it go whit your outfit

Reselling is not a scam. A scam is a ripoff. You choosing to pay resell price is your own decision (as long as it's a real shoe not a rep). It might be sleazy (it is), but it's not a scam.

Stock X is trash. They're killing the sneaker market. Over charging for kicks. Never using this trash ass site. This is made for hype beasts and dummies. I will never pay over retail for a pair of shoes
Used sneakers are gross though. So many people smell and are gross. I went to a sneaker event and it smelled like a gym locker room. People are lazy and don’t clean them well and just sell them.

it always pisses me off when people use stock x prices like they dont add an 35 extra dollars on shipping

What if it’s less than retail???
Ion mind paying $10-$20 over retail for a sneaker cuz the seller is either loosing the money or breaking even.
