Oh wow hoodang, Dan Auerbach’s two lead parts around 2:20 & 3:45 are fantastic, I haven’t the words.. I love the studio version, but his guitar here.. he’s channeling an unburdened spirit in there, deft and decisive in the moment...love the style in his phrasing

I love the Black Keys. This song shows that those old blues guys could rock...this is isn't hot rodded Robert Johnson ala Led Zep..this is a basic cover of RL. I love it, but it is very close to the original. RL kicked ass.

I’m pretty sure the guitarist on slide is Kenny Brown, who actually played with RL Burnside, who you may or may not know was one of the OG Mississippi hill country blues men that The Black Keys were heavily inspired by on their early work. The bassist is Eric Deaton. Definitely worth a dive into RL Burnside and Junior Kimbrough if you haven’t listened to them yet!
