I own Naxos and Pure Havane by T. Mugler, and they are similar. Pure Havane has that warm cherry, tobacco, honey-vanilla blend. Naxos is smoother and has more depth, but i love wearing both. Meanwhile, one fragrance that has similarities to those 2 is the original Guerlain L'homme Ideal. No one really talks about it anymore, as it gets overshadowed by the EDP and the Extreme, but I still wear it a lot in the Fall.
Yes! When I first tried Naxos, I was instantly reminded of Pure Havane, I would own a bottle of that if it wasn't for Naxos. L'homme Ideal is a great shout as well
I think Naxos is a more versatile scent. The citrus and lavender on top is something I’m ok using in the summer where Pure Havanne is better suited for fall-spring because it’s a dark, deeper profile. I see the similarities but when you compare them side to side, for me they’re distinct from each other. Certainly worth having both.
I was just thinking about how I need a backup bottle of Honey aoud by Montale And ran across this video. I'm definitely at that point where I know what I like and I want to get backups.
Imitation is pure class. I do not understand buying backup bottles. As an owner of more than 120 perfumes, i never ever had bought backup bottle, not even of discontinued stuff. Can you elaborate?
I also decant fragrances to help grow quicker or I buy partial bottles sometimes. Imitation to me just seems like it’s going to be discontinued by Amouage soon and want to be sure I will have enough for rest of my life. Normally, if I wasn’t decanting then I would say that a full 100ml bottle would be fine

Brands that hold their value, like Tom Ford, will skyrocket when their fragrances cease production. Patchouli Absolu is up to $1000 USD now and I regret not picking up a few more bottles of my signature scent.
@@SethFragrance yah you have a diverse versions of Naxos 😂 but mine literally was light yellowish now it’s brown like the old batch, so I guess mine had been through all these stages of evolution but you have them in all the 3 stages 😂
Talking about great Layton clones: do you know “Dusk” by The Woods Collection? Man, I think that’s the best Layton clone, and the presentation is quite niche. It’s not as sweet as Layton, it’s a slightly fresher take on the OG - and that’s what I really like.
I'm a green Irish tweed man myself, you should get your nose on laventure Knight by Al Haramain, it's a closer clone to GIT than tres Nuit and last a long time.
Yes I've heard really good things on that one! I feel Tres Nuit is similar DNA but has more of a lemon smell, compared to the 'fresh cut grass' and greeny feel that GIT has
3:25 unfortunately ADG has discontinued this GOAT. I wish ADG release ADG Profumo ELIXIR in future and I will scoop 3 bottles (provided both smells and longevity is better than OG Profumo).

Great list! Totally agree with Acqua Di Gio Profumo and Bvlgari Aqva Amara. Both are bangers and very disappointed they got discontinued

No backup bottles for me either, no time to finish the single ones I have.
When you really love a fragrance you will deplete it, particularly if you have a signature.

I’ve bought Naxos year ago left it to macerate and used it every two months 2-3 sprays and leave it, it turned brown now

Yes exactly! I have an 'aftershave lotion' bottle of cool water (I love it), and Pierre Bourdon really did do both. Genius perfumer
