Thank you for these 2 methods: 2:41 Method 1: chunk into smaller sequences (both hands as one maneuver) 8:26 Method 2: focus on connecting both hands (precise movements)
I want to thank you for helping me when I first started out. I still consider myself pre-Beginner even though I can do many "Intermediate" skills. I really lack musicality since I probably have Aural Aphantasia. But I learned the Rule of the Octave last month and by practicing that, I have a better understanding what music is supposed to do. Much of the work I'm doing is relearning my chord inversions and progressions but applying them to cadences. My piano teacher thinks I'm a real theory Geek, but he's happy to accompany me along.
Thank you for your expert advice. I’ve played hands separate for sometime now and just started bringing hands together. The information you give is top tier and is just what I needed. Thanks for the tremendous boost. Cheers
Very helpful. Made me more aware of all the different technics to learn to play a song with both hands together. Will save so can review as there was alot to take in all at once.
Pretty much doing this trying to start with wind crest from FFX2, doing it like this combined with ALL the extra time trying to workout what key needs to be pressed for each note in the sheet music is taking an absolute age lol! 3 weeks of daily practice to learn the first 48 measures so far, but ignoring the time the process works, and I can't believe what I'm hearing as I'm now able to play this bit reasonably kind of ok, though still slower than it should be but just hearing it as I'm playing it is massively motivating, though the next part gets harder so have been stalling and sticking to playing what I've learnt so far to get it better before moving on
Please read my comment and reply. I started to learn to play the keyboard 1 year ago. I don’t get time to practice daily but I try somehow. My main difficulty is to earn to play with the left hand. But I am following you instructions very careful. I want to thank you for inspiring me to be interested in following your instructions.
As a beginner inching closer to intermediate I've found your method of teaching and lessons to be incredibly helpful. My question is, should people like me just work through all of your videos in order, or do you have a playlist / lesson plan of what to watch if we want to use your channel as our primary learning tool? I have also subscribed to your Patreon btw so have access to content there too. Thank you!
Hi, thanks for signing up to Patreon! Glad you have found the channel helpful. Unfortunately there’s not really a specific order for all the videos as it doesn’t really work on youtube to structure a channel like a course or like I would in lessons. It’s more trying to tackle individual topics at a time really. For example this video, I wouldn’t sit down with a student and say all of this, we’d cover a lot as we’re learning things and the relevant points crop up.
Hey thanks for the techniques.. glad i found your channel. I have one question..and confused about it. I play guitar but beginner to keyboard. I saw my frnds entry level keyboards but their sound quality dosent seem very good. I have to purchase my first keyboard. Is it ok to invest so much in Yamaha psr sx900 for a beginner ?? I was saving for that keyboard from last year . Or do i need to rethink about my decision ?? Please help.
Hi Deven, you really have to think about what your goals are. That yamaha psr series are really fun, have loads of great sounds but ideally, for a beginner learning, that amount of money is likely better invested in something which has fully weighted keys. For the price of an sx900, you can get some fantastic, full size professional digital pianos. To be honest, that's quite a big investment if you're just starting out though. I would be tempted to save a little of that budget on some lessons too 👍
There’s certain things that need explaining so yea I need to talk to teach. As a teacher, I know the mistakes people make, how to practise to improve and I’m just trying to share that in detail with people. No one’s making you listen.

Oh wow...where were you 10 years ago when i was struggling with hand coordination. This is really helpful even now.

As an absolute beginner starting at the age of 40 it almost seems impossible sometimes, but this gives me hope

You see, the problem is that my hands are already independent. That is, they each do whatever the h*ll they want...

Thanks for watching!
yes I agree. hey how long have you been playing piano?
Thank you so much.
Great topic for beginners, like me While I have only become comfortable with a couple songs two handed at this point, I know your advice is sound
Hi how are you? do you use a piano music holder? Just curious.

Great stuff well done, good luck with the rest!
You are such a good teacher

Really enjoying your videos dude. Super helpful and informative. Thanks for doing these!
I really appreciate ur channel man thanks
Amazing thank you so much
hi, what's the title of the first and second song?
What are the names of the pieces played in this video?
Arggh! It's so frustrating. I've been trying to learn Sonata 11 by Mozart for two months still frustrated!!!
Sounds like sheezz!

Alright, alright. Please get on with it. At 2:50 I haven't seen anything done on the keyboard. When does it start?
In that first part of the video, I'm making points that I wanted/needed to make. If there's no use showing the keyboard to make a point, then I don't.
Ive been using my right hand for most of my life when I started legitmately wanting to learn i realized i need to master my left😂
As you’re moving along measure by measure , when is it appropriate to go back in the song and practice what you’ve already gone over ?
As a piano beginner but experienced guitarrist, it's funny how my left hand is way better than my right hand even though i'm right handed
Show us what keys your playing bud! Thanks
