- 👋 Here is the all new 2024 Lexus GX 550 Premium! This GX550 is actually the base model coming in at $64,200. Super cool to see this luxury focused off road SUV from Lexus! Based on the same platform as the all new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser, the new Lexus GX 550 Premium packs the twin turbo V6 from the Tundra! The GX550 has a 3rd row seat to allow for ample cargo space and room for two adults. They are compact seats for the 3rd row, but they still are pretty useable for people. Low base and a bit tight in leg room, but still pretty good given the new GX550 is only a few inches longer then the 4Runner. I'm already a big fan of the new 2024 Land Cruiser, but with the Lexus GX 550, you get the extra luxury vibe and style. The exterior of the GX550 Premium finished in Grey looks so cool! Unlike anything on the road this is a unique SUV that stands out! Sort of reminds me of the Mercedes G550 'G Wagon' however being a Lexus/Toyota product you know this will be affordable and reliable! Razor sharp and futuristic styling with a boxy look makes the all new 2024 Lexus GX550 stand out from boring SUV's. Also this GX550 has a locking differential in the center and a full time four wheel drive system. The interior is modern with the newest screens and tech, but is still simple to use like a Lexus should be. While this has synthetic leather it feel very nice and should be pretty durable. I love how boxy it feels and that roofline gives the GX a cool interior feeling! The dash is very flat and easy to see, but allows for a great view out the windshield. The hood even dips down in the center so you can see the trail ahead and the large bulges on the side help you place the GX550 off road. For sure the new 2024 Lexus GX is going to be a popular luxury SUV and gain traction like any Range Rover or Mercedes G wagon as an off road luxury SUV thats super desirable! I can see buying a new Land Cruiser, and then when I want more luxury, going for the GX550 as my family SUV! TBH this is the one I'd get. $65k gets you a lot of SUV for the money. Any higher trim level just adds more and more luxury/tech/off road features (in the case of the Overtrail), but this base model is still very well equipped.
I can see that. I think this is plenty luxurious and if you want to deck it out with off road things, there will be plenty of aftermarket mods
It's pretty well equipped but they really pulled a fast one taking out driver seat memory.. they know this will force even the most frugal buyers to move to premium plus.

I'm no off-roader in the least; I admire symmetrically aesthetic SUV designs with integrated console screens alongside near-perfect reliability. Although, I hope it's different from those off-roaders that feel lumpy and bumpy on the pavement🤦🏾♂.

Is there a household type outlet in it? I use the outlet in my 4Runner all the time. I only wish there was a second outlet closer to the front of the vehicle.

Love the car, Lexus quality, reliability. The looks are great. But one thing hits me hard coming from a plug in hybrid that gives me 55 mpg combined (X5 45e), that 21 mpg Hwy, oh man, 21?
I own an X5 45e and it's not that high lol..combined it's closer to 27 mpg.
Is that $65K price the MSRP at the Dealership of. LEXUS? Or is the Dealership still going to ADD there price from that MSRP?
My local dealer sells for MSRP. I don’t think any Lexus dealers have markups, but it could vary. Just find a dealer that’s looking for repeat customers and not just gouging people on price.

This is a better value than the land cruiser. Main selling point is the larger twin turbo engine.

@@BrosFOURRSpeedi stand corrected. it has a full 4" more rear seat legroom than the 4 Runner according to Edmunds. GX has 37"; 4 Runner has 33". It sure looks tighter on video though!!
Yea It seems really tight. I need more room for passengers, they should have been able to slide the 2nd row.

As a 40-year car guy who's been into wheels and tires for a very long time, the tires caught my eye too. they have this sorta strange square look plus a smooth look almost as if they have no tread. Just to be clear, not "flat" in terms of no air.
